Great experience with alterations. They had great customer service and quick turn around.

I brought my gold Vince velvet top (original retail price $425 at Neiman Marcus) to Diamond Cleaners Port Orange for a simple cleaning, trusting their expertise with delicate fabrics. What I got back was a ruined garment: the once-fluffy gold velvet is now matted and irregular, with clearly defined, uneven demarcations from what looks like improper heat treatment or pressing. The once-luxurious texture is flattened in large patches, making it unwearable and impossible to restore. The damage is consistent with the appearance of velvet that was heated or treated with chemicals improperly. I explained the issue to the owner, who argued with me that there is no damage. He even tried to claim it is the lighting and talk me out of my damage claim. He offered no acknowledgement of their error, no apology and would only refund my dry-cleaning costs if I signed a waiver of my right to pursue damages. Further, he threatened to sue me for slander if I posted evidence of their damage to my velvet garment online. This isn't just extremely poor service; it's negligence that has cost me hundreds of dollars. Do not trust them with anything valuable or delicate. I found the owner to be dishonest and manipulative. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and warning others to do the same. read more

All diamond cleaners locations in Port Orange and new Smyrna are owned by Zach. I do not recommend getting your clothes altered from these cleaners unless you want them to redo it several times and superglue your clothes together. The owner zack stated that he would make it right by giving me a credit. The credit was not able to be used by my mom when picking something up although he told me she could use it on the phone when he gave me the credit. My mom's pieces were also not altered correctly, but she knew to not send them back to the same person twice after they had already butchered mine 4 to 5 times. Ultimately my skirt still has chunks of hard super glue and stitching that looks like my dog did it. read more

I dropped off a suit and ladies dress. The written charges were $67 which I thought was high. When I went for pickup the bill was $77. The bait and switch is nonsense and should not be allowed. read more

Been using them for about 3 years. First couple years, no problems. More recently, however, things have really gone downhill. Took a couple of merino wool sweaters before the holidays and they shrank a full size! Never seen this happen before with dry cleaning. I would avoid taking any delicate or expensive clothing here. read more

If you need good drycleaning, STAY AWAY FROM DIAMOND CLEANERS. They have stores in Port Orange and New Smyrna. On a recent visit to their NSB store, I noticed dark stains on the front and back of a pair of suit dress slacks (recently purchased at $200). There was no notice attached to the garment when I picked them up stating they we're stained or they had attempted to remove it. When I talked to the owner, he said that they were already stained when I brought them in. Totally untrue. They also have pressed my dress shirts, and I find repeatedly that they were pressed without unbuttoning the sleeve and collar buttons, which breaks the buttons. Then they charge $5.00 to repair every button. What a rip-off. read more

Have been using Diamond dry cleaners for several months with no problems. Recently brought in 3 cashmere sweaters for dry cleaning. I picked them up and brought them home and just stuck them in my closet as the temperatures were still warm here. Well, a month later, I realized that all 3 sweaters had been shrunk to child-sized proportions! Texture was also ruined/ I believe they washed them instead of dry cleaning them. The owner denied having shrunk them, said it was too long ago for it to be their responsibility and that I must have moved their dry cleaning tag. He basically accused me of lying. Then they stretched out my sweaters to a shapeless mess that I can't wear.never going back. Rude people. read more

I would like to ammend my last rating. It was not fair to the business owner and I let my emotions take over. Even though I was given bad service by a new employee that is truly not the way to rate an entire organization. I was contacted by the owner immediately and he apologized and said that is not the way we do business. He was and is very concerned about his customers on a daily basis. Their work as dry cleaners has always been exceptional, and his other employees have been wonderful. I brought in my white suit, picked it up filthy two different shades of white. Skirt was dirty and wrinkled, the collar was dirty and new marks were on the front of the coat. The manager had the nerves to ask if I was wrinkled when I left the store. He refused to refund my $18.80 for their shady work. I will never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to you. Diamond Cleaners was always my go-to location but I will never use them again. I took 5 items in to be cleaned and the staff entered 2 sweaters and 3 jackets. My ticket price was $44.77. When I went to retrieve my items, the price was a whopping $65.11! I was stunned. The part-owner manager made the case that one sweater was actually a cape and one jacket was longer than the others -- and he therefore charged me $20.34 more! I asked him if he could be reasonable since he admitted it was his fault. He would not budge at all. Not customer friendly, not fair, and certainly smacks of "Bait and Switch" Hope you can avoid a similar experience by taking your business elsewhere. read more

I am amazed at their service. The owner and his nephew are so efficient in getting quality work done. They just installed a new computerized system, which even makes the experience better for their customers. This is how it works... When you bring your dry cleaning there, you receive the traditional receipt with the date and time your clothes traditionally would be ready, but now, it gets even better - - when the garments are actually completed, it goes in the system and it texts you automatically. I was just nearby at the McDonald's next-door and I received my text. I was there one minute later! My clothes were not supposed to be ready until the next day at 5 PM. I didn't have to make a separate trip the next time I was going passed their place of business. You can't get much more efficient than that and all of the staff front and back do quality work. I took a dress in with a small spot on front and asked them to take out... When I picked up dress ... spot still there... Dry cleaning is expensive and they do not do a good job... Sweaters are folded over and left with creases in the front.... read more

I'm regular here. Great service, very affordable prices. Clothes come out very clean, nice and tidy. They either hang or fold if you requested. Had them do it in 4 hours one time when I was in a hurry and it was flawless. read more

My husband's thermos full of soup was left in his backpack over a 3 day weekend and exploded. Nobody knew until Monday morning. Definitely not a way to start the week! There were no stains but the stench was foul. I tried rinsing it myself and using some vinegar but it just wasn't cutting it. I found this place on Yelp. I called and was quoted $12. That sounded more than fair so I dropped it off. Nice facility and even nicer staff. They said it would be ready by Wednesday night with a possibility of it being ready on Tuesday. I wasn't in a rush for it and I let them know this. I called on Tuesday and was told it wasn't ready yet and would be ready Wednesday. A few hours later in the evening, they called and let me know that it would be ready for pickup in the morning. I thought it was very considerate of them to call and confirm this. Many businesses don't take the time to call their customers with updates. I picked it up on Wednesday morning. I truly expected there to be a lingering smell--it was that bad. I shoved my face all the way into the bottom of the bag and sniffed. I continued sniffing like a hound dog but only smelled a faint fragrance from whatever they used to clean it. I was stunned! I told them I was only worried about the smell but they made it look brand new again. Then, to top it off, when the guy rang up my ticket, it was only $10!!! My only regret is not having cash for a tip and no option to leave one on the ticket. I highly recommend these guys. They know what they're doing and take pride in their work. I hope I don't need to use them again but if I need any sort of dry cleaning done, I will go directly here. read more

We had an ill family member and knew time was ticking away. So in preparation of the loss to f a family member, we took our suits to be dry cleaned. The pickup window was in a matter of a few days. We thought we had plenty of time but unfortunately we got the call that everyone hates to get. We now needed to have the suits back ASAP. The front desk clerk and owner were extremely helpful. They were able to locate our suits even though we wanted it 3 days earlier than agreed too. The wonderful customer service was above and beyond a customers expectations. THANK YOU!!! read more

I brought my white coat in Friday and the gentleman in the front told me it would be ready early morning mind at. i get there a need they told me the jacket is not ready yet. i come back and jacket has a ink stain on it that wasn't there before. the lady insisted it was me that put that there and blamed me for the ink stain. I have been using another cleaner close by for years. Needed some clothes laundered and pressed for a business trip and took them to my regular place. They said it would be 4 days to get them back and that just wasn't going to work for my schedule. Hit up Google and found Diamond literally a minute away. Shot over there and was told they would be ready in 6 hours. Picked them up that afternoon and wow!!! clothes were perfect. We like our Jeans heavy starched and these were the best we have ever had done. Heavy, heavy starch and perfect crease. For people that wear western jeans or show horses this is a big deal. The lady that took in the clothes could not have been nicer and I could tell that they really appreciated my business... the other place almost acted like they were doing me a favor taking in my clothes and making the ticket. Gets the job done but pricing for alterations are not included on the tickets. And no notice is given that your clothes are taken offsite and altered elsewhere. I should have asked for the total but mistakenly thought it would be less than $20. Without set pricing for alterations they could charge anything they want. read more
