I had a wide custom gate installed to replace the old gate - and have received numerous compliments on its appearance and quality. I also had side and backyard fences replaced with wood fencing that uses metal fence posts (which are bolted to the fence frame and concealed). The crews that did the work were on time and very professional. They completed the job promptly, as well as cleaned up and leveled the ground along the fence before they left. My home is nearly 20 years old and so was the fence. Most of my posts were rotted out and the fence was on the verge of falling over in several spots and one of my gates did fall down. Mike's came out and saved me in a big way! From their prompt response to my inquiry, the estimator that came out, the crew that did the work and the ladies in the office. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional and extremely helpful. They replaced all my posts around the yard with metal ones, made all the necessary repairs to the fence slats, and built two new gates for me at a very reasonable price. Fence was falling over in my neighboring backyard. I had three quotes and the neighbor I was dealing with was very difficult and she wanted the cheapest quote which was Mikes. They were timely and responsive which was the only reason they get 2 stars. The neighbor to my right also used Mikes fencing and the fence looks totally different. Also the other 2 quotes I received told me they would be grading and making my fence level and not just going by the gradient of the property. Mike had emailed me my quote and I was not there during the inspection process so I was not told how they would do the fence. But I guess you get what you pay for. So they completed this while I was away for work and when I came back and noticed some defaults I was unhappy. The had cut out wood to fit a concrete/rock that was in the ground instead of removing it and when I asked them about it they stated "well it was there before" it was definitely not there on my side at least. I called and told them what I was concerned about and Kevin returned my call and said he would be there to fix it within 2 days. However, this would of just been the way it was installed if I hadn't of expressed my concerns. Honestly not happy with the overall work and didn't even match my other side of the fence in regards to the length of boards and the horizontal 2x4s.. In hindsight I would of just paid for it on my own and went with a different company. But my neighbor was wanting the cheapest quote. Also when expressing my concerns with Kevin at my house on the day of repair he gave me an attitude as if he was annoyed and I was the problem.. read more

SUPRISE!!! Contacted Mike's fencing asking for a vinyl fence / redwood fence quote and was told "sorry we aren't offering quotations in your area at this time" . You would think we live in the ghetto... I understand being out of the city per say (Lake Ming area) but WOW! IRONICALLY my relative needs a price on 400 feet of fencing as well but their loss. Maybe they have so much business they don't need us east siders dollars. Had the $3200 job done by another local contractor and the wife and I couldn't be happier. I have called this Company 4 times over the last several months! They tell me they are 1-2 weeks out on estimates and will call me back! They never have called me back. I called today 3/25/19 and again was told the same thing. My son had the same issue! When I told them what had happened they said oh I don't show you called! So I said never mind! I paid Mike's Fencing to put up a gate on the side of my house. It was not cheap, over $2500. While it looks nice when it gets hot the gate rubs badly. Called but no one answers or returns message. For the price you think they would return your call. Would not recommend or use again. read more

This company just finished installing 100 feet of new vinyl fence and two gates at my home. From Kevin's first inspection to the last latch, their work has been absolutely first rate. I imagined that installing the new fence would be " snap, snap, snap", but no; the crew did extensive leveling, concrete repair and other site preparation. This company did all the fences in our brand new neighborhood so I didn't technically hire them but I can tell you I never would hire them seeing what crappy work they do. We have owned our brand new house for barely 2 years and we already have at least 2 broken posts. Seriously?! My older home we had previously had a fence for 10-15 years before we had any issues with it... when I contacted this company they wanted $100 per post to fix their shitty work. What a joke. I would NEVER consider using Mike's Fencing again. I called them out once to get an estimate for a fence that was blown down after a windstorm. The person who gave us the expensive quote said that all the sections needed to be replaced with all new material and there was no way to repair it. This did not seem right because the fence slats appeared to be in good condition and only the fence posts and a few fence slats were broken. I decided to get a another quote from another company (Fence Menders). Fence Menders used most of the existing fence slats and only replaced the broken fence posts and a few fence slats. The cost was only a fraction of the price of the Mike's Fencing quote and the fence has withstood several windstorms without any problem. read more

They came out that day and did an excellent job repairing that fence and other areas of the fence that needed support repair. Then a year later, my gate needed repair and once again they came out and did an excellent job. Their pricing is reasonable, and the service is excellent. I had to remove old stumps and there was a vinyl fence right next to the stumps and a patio on the other side. A very small area to work in. A team of 3 guys came out the day before the tree service was schedule and took out the fence. Two days later when the stumps were removed they reinstalled the fence. They coordinated well with my needs, were timely and left the area clean and ready for use. I felt the price was reasonable. I have used Mike's in the past to replace my gates.
