Such a cute mom & pop deli The guys behind the counter are seriously so kind and welcoming. You can tell this is one of those neighborhood spots that's been doing it right forever. Got the egg & cheese on a hard roll + a sandwich and both hitttt. Fresh, simple, no unnecessary extras -- just good deli food. Love finding little local gems like this. 10/10 vibes, 10/10 people. Definitely coming back! read more

My friend and I started out the day at an estate sale. Tessa, the person working it was super great and gave us some recommendations of good eats in Norwalk. She mentioned her aunt owns Mike's deli. Enter our appetite, enter Mike's deli. Hailey, the counter person helping us was so helpful and patient- one of the most helpful and patient people I've ever interacted with at a store. She answered our numerous questions and called over the manager when she didn't know the answer to our Yelp free beverage when you purchase a sandwich check in. I got the chachi sandwich on a hard roll, all my hopes and dreams have been fulfilled- what a delicious sandwich. My friend got the Budda, she said it needed vegetables and the bacon was really good. I got a kombucha hemp drink made locally in CT for my free bevvie and my friend got a Joe's Berry Lemonade. My friend is looking forward to returning here regularly on the way to her job to pick up some lunch. They have an extensive sandwich and breakfast selection, tons of drinks and snack options, coffee and tea, and a yogurt bar to make your own parfait. They also have an atm, and sell milk by the half gallon and gallon. There are 3 tables inside a few parking spots out front that's a little hard to get out if you're going to the highway and really good small town vibes inside. I'll be returning here to get my Chachi fix when I'm back in town. They open at 5:30AM pretty sweet. They do breakfast all day. What's not to love? read more

This place was super busy and for good reason. We picked food up. Friendly service, quick execution, & delicious sandwich

The only thing good about this place is the crispy fries. We ordered the chachi, the bubba, tuna salad, and two orders of crispy fries. The deli is on a busy street right off of 95 with little to no parking. Staff is super limited and the deli is dirty. Online they have a big picture of a salad bar which is non existent. We tried calling two times before coming in to order lunch and the phone rings busy. The bubba is literally roast beef deli sliced meat heated a bit w bbq sauce and cheddar cheese. The chachi was the better of the two sandwiches w a crispy cutlet and avocado. The tuna salad is nothing special and is weighed by the pound. The salad I was provided was a bowl of lettuce with one grape tomato and two shreds of pepper and onion. Pricing isn't on any of the menu boards and you aren't offered a receipt after paying. We won't be back Sure hoping they just had a rough day today Best of luck read more

Had no expectations walking into Mike's Deli. I ordered a steak double egg and cheese. I would rate the sandwich a solid 4.6 out of 5. Also for less than 8 bucks this is a steel in Joe Bidens economy. read more

Mike's Deli has been my favorite place for breakfast sandwiches since I used to live in Norwalk. One of the reasons is because they use fresh bread for the sandwiches. Also their bacon is always warm and crispy. The staff is always friendly. I always order the same sandwich Bacon & Egg with Mayonnaise. No cheese. They also have other breakfast options like burritos, cold sandwiches , fruits , coffee and drinks. read more

Sadly this place is way too hit or miss for me. I have grabbed lunch there over the years but the chaos of the 16-18 year olds carrying on conversations and not taking orders correctly because they're trying to get back chatting. Usually 4-5 younger kids working there and they don't seem to care. One girl cooking and sometimes a helper on the grill. Seems to get a lot of over phone orders placed so maybe they get big ordered correctly. Sadly their rolls are never fresh and most of the time the order isn't correct. Wish Jimmys down the road was still open. read more

Stay away! I have lived across the street from this deli for four years. Every time I try to give it another chance I regret it. It is without, fail the worst deli I've ever been to. The hard rolls are never fresh. They have different employees every other week. If you want a 16 year making your food with 0 care in the world then this is the spot for you. I live 100 feet from this place and will drive 10 minutes down the road for a bacon egg and cheese. How hard is it to make a good breakfast sandwich? For this deli, it's very hard. Not enough room to write everything wrong w this deli so i'll leave it at that. Oh... and check my photo - that's their version of a sausage and egg sandwich. read more

Very good deli. Nice workers they know how to do there job and made my experience great. Very decorated for each season/holiday and very welcoming. read more

The interior really requires some serious updating. I know we aren't eating the interior but hey - it says a lot about you & your joint don't ya think? It was hot, stuffy, packed w people & retail/stuff lining every wall. Not the cleanest place I've happened upon for a sandwich to go. However, I ordered a fried egg & cheese on a fresh Portugees roll & it was ready in like 40 seconds, I paid & back in the car all in like 3 minutes which was just awesome on a Friday morning commute! read more

I like coming here. The food is great and the staff members are friendly. I think that this place is full of potential. The sandwiches (breakfast and lunch) are great. They have a lot of original ideas along with all of the classics. read more

We catered our St. Patrick's Day party from here and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone was so happy with it. Thank you!

Mikes is always a great way to start my day upon arriving in Norwalk. After getting off 95 from my trip to CT (either coming from NJ or Boston) the first thing I think about is lunch for the boat and Mike's is conveniently located right there and next to a Dunkin Donuts as well. I am a fan of their chicken salad, turkey, and seafood salad. However, my usual sandwich is breaded chicken, lettuce, tomato, with oil, vinegar, hot peppers, and mozz on a round roll, yummm. They also have daily hot specials that look pretty good as well. Everything is very reasonably priced and everything I have gotten here has always tasted fresh. Their selection isn't as extensive as delis I am used to but they have your basics and some creative sandwiches. I think it serves as the perfect stop before your day on the boat. It is also way more of a takeout place than sit down. The people who take your order are always super-friendly. I have always stopped here and I will continue to do so upon my arrival into Norwalk. read more

Stopped in for a bag of ice. Everything looked and smelled good. I'll have to come back to eat.

Was this business sold to new owners? I've been in twice in the past two weeks and it's all new faces and there is just a different "vibe" about the place. Same menu, sandwiches are great, but got a stale hard roll today so that was disappointing. Curious because it's one of my favorite places in Norwalk and a go-to for lunch if I'm out and about. read more

First time at Mike's Deli and we were pleased with our order of sandwiches, wraps, and salads for a daytime party of 12. Lots of food and it was all very tasty. Prepared with little notice and staff was courteous. read more

I decided to try this place on a whim one morning... Looked promising by all the cars in the parking lot. I order a bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll and it was great! I would definitely go back again for either breakfast or lunch. The prices are reasonable and the staff was very friendly. read more

Stopped in on my walk to the train to grab lunch. I grew up in Norwalk, but never had the urge until now to stop here, only for convenience sake. I'm a huge fan of thanksgiving wraps so that caught my eye first on the menu. Excited, I waited until I got to the platform to open it up. I was only able to take one bite of this and had to spit that out. They use warm cold-cut turkey. I didn't even want to take a bite, but I had to be sure. The other items on the menu might be better but DO NOT make the same mistake. read more

I love Mike's Deli! This is a quick, order at the counter place with delicious breakfast sandwiches and loaded lunch sandwiches. Everything is made fresh. The salad bar is awesome - always fresh cheeses and bacon, which is rare for a salad bar. The prices are great, very reasonable. Fantastic spot, my favorite deli in Norwalk! read more

I called and asked for a sandwich and when the young lady asked me if that was it, I said yes and she just hung up. She didn't say okay bye or I'll see you soon. I just assumed they were really busy but when I got there, there was only one other customer there. But my main disappointment was that my roll was very hard and the turkey so dry and shredded which just made a mess! I heard such good things and was very disappointed. read more

I live just a 5-minute walk from Mike's and have been here quite a few times. They're a family run place and the staff is super friendly. I'm from NYC where delis are a dime a dozen but good ones really make their mark. Mike's has lots of homemade goodies to offer on top of the staple of cold cut sandwiches. Every day has some different specials and their salad bar is decent despite its small size. - The Buddha sandwich is the bomb. Chicken cutlet with bacon, hot sauce, and cheese. It's probably bad for you but it is one good sandwich. - Their onion rings are pretty good too. Sometimes they're a little too greasy but it's not too shabby, especially coming from a deli. The batter on them is addictive and the onions are soft enough so that they don't always pull out when you bite into them. - I've had their chicken salad which was nice. Their macaroni salad was decent but nothing spectacular that really stood out. read more

I have been here about 3x and usually order the kit Kat on a Portuguese roll. Good breakfast sandwich with a nice spicy kick. The deli is a pretty standard typical deli. Clean small mom and pop shop with some good sandwiches. Every time I've been here (usually Saturday/Sunday mornings) there is usually a few people waiting in line before me or waiting for their sandwiches.. I don't think service is slow.. no more than 5-10 minutes wait. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

I don't know how I overlooked this place for so long, but that was a mistake on my part. I had such a delicious egg sandwich the other day, and took home curry deli turkey and fresh bread. read more

The food is decent but be prepared to wait. This deli has the SLOWEST service I've experienced in this area. I arrived at 8:30 AM on a Sunday morning, and while I expect that to be a busier time, I was not expecting to have to wait 15 minutes just to order. There were maybe 6 people there waiting that had already ordered and the high school kids working behind the counter had zero sense of urgency to take care of their customers. I appreciate and like to support local businesses but this is not a place I can recommend. It's a deli. You should be in and out quickly. My visit there to get a couple of sandwiches was 30 minutes. Come on. read more

I went in for a quick sandwich and ordered chicken salad on white. They were out of white bread. So I settled for whatever they had. The bread was stale and the chicken salad tasted like paste and the attitude of one of counter people who rung me up who had nothing else to do because they had no other customers at the time was dismissive. The sandwich was about ten dollars, I took one bite and threw it away. read more

Bomb food get the boss sandwich. Perfect thing to fill u up after a workout. Makes the pain worth.

Worst sandwiches we've ever had. We ate immediately after ordering. Chicken parm wedge was cold, Ruben was so oily, had no taste and the bread was a soggy mess and the Italian combo roll was hard. A lot of great delis in Norwalk, skip this one! read more

I have worked a few blocks from Mike's Deli for 16 years, and Mike's is my go-to place for lunch and the occasional breakfast sandwich. Great selection of sandwiches, hot items, beverages, chips, and other snacks. The salad bar is the best in the area - always full of fresh, yummy options including cheeses, grilled chicken, and a variety of toppings. The fruit and yogurt bar, as well as the homemade soup are also favorites. Mike's is always packed at lunchtime - which can make the wait a little longer, but it's worth the wait. Apparently everybody in the area knows the best place to go for lunch! Favorites are the GeGe sandwich, the Granny Smith sandwich, the Giovanni sandwich, and the New England clam chowder. You can't go wrong stopping at Mike's! read more

What a hidden gem of goodness!! Wall to wall beverage selection, huge center island stocked with granola, yogurt, fruit etc! The menu is great with fun sandwiches and good service. VERY CLEAN ----- which is probably the most important thing I look for! Honey Bee + the Reuben are on my radar -- their turkey, egg + cheese was well executed! read more

An Employee at Mikes Deli made my life easier today and I am so thankful to her. My company started it's busy season so I am working my usual 13 hour days. This morning after getting in my car I realized I forgot to make lunch for my son. Time was 05:45 a.m. no problem just go to Mike's Deli. While ordering my son's turkey and cheese sandwich the counter person asked if the sandwich was for an adult or a child. I said "child" and casually told her that I forgot my son's lunch. After leaving I started pulling out my items out of the plastic bag to place them in his book bag I noticed that she wrote "have a nice day" on a paper and placed that note on the outside of the protected wax paper that covered the sandwich and neatly wrapped the sandwich in a saran wrapped square. She also added a white lunch bag. I placed his drink and sandwich in the white bag that she provided and he was covered for lunch today. I love ordering from Mike's for quality food. Now I love them for going the extra mile. This busy mom is thankful. read more

Deli has a few rules ....fast, fresh and plentiful. 10 mins for a Ham, Egg and Cheese in rush hour. Staff moves very slow. Then not at all worth the wait. Crappiest HEC sandwich ever! read more

My husband and I have been here many times. Every time there is always something either forgotten on the sandwich or it's just terrible service or a terrible sandwich. One time I ordered a ham egg and cheese and there was 1 slice of ham on it, 1!!!!! The wait can be up to a half hour. Several times either my husband or I got our sandwiches with missing either the cheese, bacon, breakfast potatoes etc... the workers are way too young, they don't care, and they are slow. Just today my husband went to try you guys one last time and you forgot to put the cheese on that he paid for. That is what prompted this review. Well, that will be his and my last time going to your place. Not worth it! read more

Great location, always consistently good food, they always make the best meatball grinders... It's all good...

Hands down the best place ever. Do they skimp on food? No! Is their food fresh? Yes! Whatever you want they will make. Delicious sandwiches and an incredible staff. I come here almost everyday after practice and I always know there is no way to go wrong here. read more

Stopped in last Sunday to get lunch for the first time. Ordered the Buddha sandwich and onion rings both very good and both were put into one bag (which was too small), but because of the ridiculous plastic bag ruling in Norwalk, a bag with a handle wasn't available. Due to a disability, walking with a cane and trying to hold a bag in my other hand is difficult, not to mention needing to open the door to exit. Seeing my predicament, one of the guys from behind the counter came to my rescue, he opened the door for me, took my bag and then put both the bag and my wallet in my car for me. Will definitely be back as the food was delicious. Thanks again to the guy who assisted me. read more
