The experience up front prevents me from being %100 satisfied, but my experience on the back end greatly improved the situation overall. I understand that how things went down for me was not how City Auto usually does business. This was not the first vehicle that I bought from them, and I know of several other people who have bought from them, and that is why I was surprised by the negative experience in the beginning. My first thought was that City Auto has just fallen off, and once they had my money, were no longer concerned with how my deal was working out for me. I no longer believe that. I understand that when buying a used car, things happen. My above experience, while very unfortunate, was not the usual way of doing things. So, would I buy a car from City Auto again? Tentatively, but yes.

That was the reason I went in there - to fix overheating. They left the old pullies in the truck and there was nothing wrong with them. After their "work" I took it to another mechanic who said they really messed it up. New radiator, water pump had wrong bolts in it and a hose was not connected. Cost me over $4000 to fix their mistake. Most costly water pump repair I have ever had!

Was absolutely shocked that they charged $1000 over the original estimate with no notification of the price change - I had to put it on separate cards just to be able to get out the door. So many times I called just to figure out what the heck was going on with my car. I get sometimes you have to go to the dealership but choose these guys at the absolute last resort.
