Wymers Auto Repair - Sheered bolt to battery tie down after attempting to unscrew the nut.

    Wymers Auto Repair

My mother in law took her vehicle here because it wouldn't start. Not sure what they did, but they…read moregot it to start. They charged her $229 for a "new" battery. A few days later, it wouldn't start again so she called me. (6/18/23). When I looked under the hood, she still had the same battery I installed in September of 2022. It was obviously not new. It still had the 8/22 manufactured date sticker on it and terminals were scarred up from it being in her van for the last year. Trying to give Wymers the benefit of the doubt, we called them and they insisted they installed a new battery. Her receipt said the same. We asked them if we could bring the battery back for a refund, and they agreed. When removing the battery, I found another indicator that Wymers never even took her battery out. The battery tie-down bolt and nut, were seized and obviously haven't been undone since last September. There's no way they could have removed her battery without taking the tie down off. When I attempted to take the battery tie down out, the bolt sheered off after about 3 turns. We even matched the serial number on the battery to the receipt of when we bought the battery in September. I wouldn't trust this place with a matchbox

Okay, I know lots of things in this world, but not car stuff. I am a 60+ lady and I did not go to high school with his dad and my family name was not a familiar one (you have to remember where we are) and so I was fair game, I guess. I left with a 300$+ battery. Now that I've read the other review (also an older lady who wound up with a new battery) I'm going out to check it is actually there. This kind of stuff gives the Valley and the good people who live here a bad name.

I really wanted to have a good experience with Universally Modified…read more I appreciate They are a family run and worked business of brothers and Ryan's wife. But they will not properly torque fasteners. There had been a metallic rattling since the first time I had them install the front sway bar. I drove it that way for six months or so. They always said the reason for the metallic rattling was because of the BMR components I had them install not having the rubber bushings. Then when me and another guy put my 2022 Mach 1 up on a lift and started looking it over and working on it we were disappointed to find Universally Modified destroyed my front sway bar end links due to not torquing down fasteners and using zero thread locker! I asked them multiple times to use the proper thread locker on all the fasteners. So after fixing the sway bar properly, the car is silent now! Um multiple times have not torque down or at least used a thread locker to keep fasteners from totally backing off. Universally Modified also did not tell me about an exhaust leak we found. I have put a lot of thought for weeks into thinking about/processing the information to make sure I am doing the right thing. They also couldn't get my wheel weights to stay on my wheels. But the plus for them is they did suggest a good place to go and have my Wheels properly Road force balanced. Each time something was not done right I tried to be calm and decent about it when I communicated with them. when I told Universally Modified about each issue, they did not apologize and didn't say what can I do to make it right, didn't say it would not happen in the future, nothing. I feel unsafe using Universally Modified due to them, causing my car to lose control on the street or on the track, and kill or enter others and myself! They will not answer or return my phone calls I tried calling multiple times to communicate with universally Modified in order to speak with them and get their side/viewpoint before I posted this.

Including the modification required. The whole team was great. Ryan is a very knowable young man. Showed me the entire processes from beginning to end. There prices are just at industry standard. I will return. Keep this place in mind when you need your car worked on. They are becoming rather popular.

Just got my jeep back last week…read more Very Happy with all the work that Jon and off-road innovations did regarding the jeep frame rot. The jeep frame rust was extensive and due to overcome by events took awhile to get repaired. But they worked on my past jeep rot issues and I was very pleased with their detail oriented results. If you've got Jeep rust issues I suggest don't buy new Jeep, take it There to get fixed.

I was told that it would take 1 day to get the truck back after dropping it on a Wednesday. Told them to install an Edge monitor which they said they could get it all done together. It took them a week to get me my truck back with no communication on their end to which the excuse I got was having to drain "gunk". I get the truck back and working here at a Local Ford Dealer, my technicians find there is still a largely significant amount of "gunk" in the cooling system after I was told they got it all out. I called them back seeing what the reasons were, and they said, "oh just keep driving it for 1k miles and re-flush the system." I'm not an expert but I know your cooling system cannot have any contaminant in it and just expected a company such as this to perform their work properly. They then decided there's nothing they can do to fix the situation besides charge me more for them to correct it. Being a reputable salesperson at a local Ford Dealership I know how much reputation means and it is just very sad to see a business conduct themselves as ORI has and I just hope I can steer anyone else from having to deal with this organization who isn't afraid to do 70% of the job but charge you 100% of the money! I am very disappointed in ORI as a whole and the least I expected them to do was to fix the situation that they should have done right in the first place but instead got told there was nothing they could do unless I paid more money. Please be aware of this.
