Had them pave a driveway for me (about 2,000 sq ft). They did a horrible job, they do not stand…read morebehind their work, so I had to fix the issues the best I could. The skid steer operator dug to deep when scooping the hot mix up to load the paving machine. YES, he dumped the dump truck load of hot mix in the middle of the driveway instead of loading from the dump truck straight into the paving machine. When the skid steer operator scooped the hot mix he also scooped up the base stone and the clay/dirt under the stone. Then that was then paved into my driveway. I had about 15 golf ball to softball size clumps of clay I had to pick out of a brand new driveway and fill with cold patch. Not to mention, I'm sure there is plenty mixed in that I can't see. I'm only talking about the stuff I can see. Also the stone is peppered all over the surface (and prabably under). All this because they DO NOT take pride in their work and they do not stand behind the work they do. They are also over priced, you pay top dollar thinking you're getting top dollar quality of work, and you dont. Its actually the opposite. The company seems to change names alot as well. All very similar but different. I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY AND OR ANY OTHER COMPANIES OWNED AND OPERATED BY J. COLE at all cost!

This time they completed their job with the excellence that we experienced when we hired them in 2024. The driveway now looks and feels so much better and is properly completed. We had recently purchased the house and it…read morewas clear the previous owners did minimal maintenance on the asphalt driveway- there were many cracks and it just looked bad. We were new to having an asphalt driveway, so I didn't realize there was an asphalt 'season'. Anthony's Asphalt was patient in answering all of my questions and were able to fit us into their schedule before the season was over. They did a great job filling all the cracks and seal coating the driveway. I called again this year to fill a couple of new small cracks and for another sealcoat. They came out, provided a quote and I mailed back the contract. I didn't need to be home to get the quote or get the work completed, so that made the process so much easier. Will be using them for all our future asphalt maintenance needs.

Other contractors didn't want to use T1-11 and many highly suggested vinyl siding or Hardie board. They didn't recognize that customer satisfaction is essential. And I knew what I wanted! Sean, owner of Michigan Rose, came out in a timely manner and communicated with me from start to finish. John and Nathan worked very well together and the job was completed quickly. We let them know that we needed the driveway done and cured before that date so we could use a wheelchair on it . They were here the next day to take out the old concrete and prepare it for the new. These guys really knew their stuff and they worked long and hard and did an absolutely stellar job. Communication with Michigan Rose Construction was great. They were always available to answer questions and we enjoyed interacting with the men who were doing the work. We would hire them again for any construction project without hesitation.

Update to Complaint/Review HomeSpec Waterproofing and…read moreFoundation Repair I am writing to provide an update regarding my experience with HomeSpec Waterproofing. In 2024 I entered into a contract (which I paid cash for) with HomeSpec to have my basement waterproofed and a sump pump installed. Over the following two years my basement continued to take on water after heavy rainfalls. After multiple visits that yeilded no answers and a periood where communication stalled, I posted a negative review to express my frustration. Shortly after posting, HomeSpec reached out and sent a team back to my home. Thats when management representative Brian stepped in and took full accountability for finding the root cause. He used a practical methods to track the water flow, he placed paper towels around the perimeter to pinpoint the entry point and found it. After the next rain he had his crew to remove the drywall and insulation to expose the hidden leak. Once the leak was identified, the crew repaired the issue. As of 9/2/2026, HomeSpec has restored my basement by installing new insulation, putting up and painting new drywall as replacing my electrical fixtures in the area where there was water damage. While the overall process took a long time and required significant peristance to reach a solution, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Brian for his professionalism, determination to making things right, Hopefully the issue is now resolved, and I will be monitoring the basement during upcoming rainfalls to ensure the fix remains permanent. I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank You Brian.

The cracks were repaired proficiently and the work site was well cleaned and all debris removed before departing. Overall 5 stars.
