Just three days later, the exact same problem came back. I returned to Hyatt's so they could check their work, but this time they told me I needed a new fuel pump. Since replacing the pump is a straightforward job, I bought one myself for about $500 and installed it. After replacing the pump, the problem still wasn't fixed. That's when I decided to inspect the work Hyatt's had done. What I found was shocking. They had installed a 15-inch sending unit in a fuel tank that is less than 13 inches deep. They had also rigged the float so the fuel gauge would constantly read about half a tank. When I called and asked whether they had installed the wrong sending unit, I was told there was only one style available for my truck. That simply wasn't true. Because of Hyatt's incorrect diagnosis, poor workmanship, and refusal to acknowledge the mistake, I'm now out over $1,000 and still had to diagnose the real issue myself. As many other reviewers have stated, these people are the absolute definition of crooked mechanics…read more I had read the many reviews and was reluctant to come here but had no choice; I had no intention of having any serious work done but I figured surely I was safe just getting my oil changed. The first two or three times it seemed OK...of course they ALWAYS pull the crap about trying to sell you expensive repairs you don't need but I just say no, just do the oil change. Today I asked them to also replace a brake light that was out. The bulb costs exactly $9 at Auto Zone and replacement literally takes 2 minutes. These low-lives charged me $80 for the brake light. I have had this done at many places over the years and know what it should cost. For convenience and to save time I just asked them to fix it rather than doing it myself because every even slightly honest shop will do this for a regular customer at a reasonable price. They have lost my business forever over this. I have gotten all my oil changes there, gotten an alignment, bought 4 new tires from them, and this is how they treat a loyal customer. I will of course be disputing the charge through Discover, and doing my level best to spread the word online and verbally about their complete dishonesty. The guy at the desk knows perfectly well I wouldn't have agreed to paying $80 for a brake light; that's why they never mentioned beforehand what they would charge. Please, take to heart the lesson I should have learned from reading the other reviews, namely that when the reviews are consistently awful you should go nowhere near that business.

First off, when I spoke to Steve on the phone, he told me he had no idea about that special and could not offer me that deal. So I did actually make an appointment anyways, just because it needed to be done. Then later, I went on line because I was still curious about the offer presented on the phone hold message. Sure enough, I was able to book an appointment for an oil change for $21.99, so I did and promptly canceled the other appointment. The day and time comes to take my car for my appointment and when I get there they tell me they don't know what deal I'm talking about. Luckily, I had taken a screenshot of my appointment details that included the $21.99 deal for an oil change and was able to show the guy. Now, I don't know if it was because I'm a girl, but even when I go to pay for my oil change, he STILL wanted to charge me $35!!!! I was about to swipe my card and luckily noticed the $10+ difference and said something to him! Not to mention, they wanted to charge me $35+ for an AIR FILTER!!!! Seriously!?? So FINALLY after FIGHTING to get the OFFERED RATE, I paid for what I heard about on the prerecorded corporate advertisement and the online rate and got the F out of there!!! And OF COURSE, they told me I needed new tires on the way out!!! What a joke of a place!!! Get your Sh** together!!!
