This is a review of mikes landscaping (Mike lambert ) and what I have experienced dealing with him. Right from the very first snow fall I have had to chase him down. He has failed to provide the services he promised. When asked for a refund I have been met with intimidations and name calling. I make this post to try and help others and hopefully prevent future headaches. Mike you have posted an apology on two pages they have been seen and heard however there are two sides to the story. I truly hope this post helps others and they will have better luck than me with snow removal and landscaping. read more

We are new to Stratford. (January 2024) Hired Mikes Landscaping two times in the last month or so. First time to remove a large pile of brush and garbage from work I did in the yard. His crew came on time and cleaned everything up perfectly. Second time to dig out two cedar stumps from our front gardens. His crew came on short notice and removed the stumps very efficiently. The job was done so cleanly that you can't even tell that they were here. I highly recommend Mikes Landscraping. We will definitely use them again. read more

Oh Yes another bad review, I am sorry to say that our experience with Mike's Landscaping Stratford has not been a positive experience. I was looking for a Landscaper to mow the lawn in the late spring. The previous ious lands aper was full. I had read some reviews about Mike's Landscapi g but Mike assured me everything would be okay. From the start it was not. I had contracted to have the lawn mowed weekly for the season. I requested a day that they would be coming so that I could make sure all the puppy poop was picked up. During the day i have 4 puppies at my house . Mike was going to come on Thursday or Friday. That rarely happe ed. He would arrive Tuesday or Wedneaday and my mother in law would go running out to depoopify the back yard. In early July the lawn had be left for 2 weeks. The lawn was very over grown and I had texted Mike to see when he was coming. I depoopified the yard as he said he was coming that day. It was a Thirsday. That night he texted me to tell me that there was a lot of poop and his machines were a mess and that he usually chargesv$200 for machine cleaning. I defended my stand telling him i had been out tbat morning to clean up after the dogs.. He was going to et it go that time. I had my sister pop over to check the lawn as I was away and would be for the following week. Did she find poop? Yes she did but it was so buried down in the ground that in the long grass it is no wonder I didn't see it. She picked ot all up. Then we got into not wanting to mow the lawn because it was short and he didn't want to damage the grass. I just want the agreement over with. Then in mid October Mike tells me that they are going ro have to charge more next year as the Fall clean up is costing them too mush. I pointed out that I hadn't requested Fall cleanup I just wanted the lawn mowed every week. Then the last week of October Mike informs me that it is there last week mowing. He however was ypset that my mother in law had yelled at them. From the July episode on mom went out every day and cleaned up after the pups. Did she yell at them...I don't know ...she does however come across as very gruff sometimes. She was upset that they were pointing out poop when she had just been out to clean and had the bags gathered on the tote as proof. Mike sends me a text later to say that yard there was a lot of poop and there would be a $200 fee this time. I responded defending my mother in law and noting that In 7 years of contracting Harback Landscaping I never once had a complaintĥ. I informed him that II wouldn't be paying the fee and he was welcome to take me to small claims court. Then he tried to tell me that he was putting a contractor's lean on my house. So I checked with my nephew Steve in London who is a lawyer and what he was suggesting was not correct. I notified him about Steve's response and suggested he talk to his lawyer and there has been no response. I am just glad it is over with. Do yourself a favor and DONT use Mike's Landscaping. read more

I hired Mike for snow removal services this past winter and to install mulch in all of my gardens (there are many) on my property first thing this Spring. Mike showed up when he said he would and the mulch in my gardens looks fantastic! He also cleaned up the yard before he left. He even as an add-on helped assisted with moving a very large rock on my property that the snow plow over the winter had moved. I highly recommend this company! read more

I have been using Mike for 3 season of snow removal and 2 seasons of landscaping/lawn care. Mike and his team are dependable and care about the quality of service and work they deliver. Mike has done external demo and junk removal, internal bathroom demo, grass cutting, tree trimming, creation of flower beds and planting of flowers, shrubs and bushes and annual spring mulch. In the winter season, my driveway and sidewalk is always salted and clear within a reasonable time (if the roads are closed, obviously my driveway can't be cleared). Strap in, this is a wild ride that's VERY common with Mike's Landscaping. My issues started when we hired Mike to do our driveway for the winter. We had 8 snowfalls that winter that would have required him to come. He didn't show up 4 of those 8 times, and had to be chased the other 4. I was annoyed, and when he kept making posts online looking for new customers, I pointed out that he should be working to satisfy the ones he has. My fiance received a message almost immediately, in which I was asked to remove my comment. I didn't want to, but did. My fiance then decided to give Mike another shot, despite my insisting we hire someone better. We needed our old walkway if stones lifted, and laid again but flat. We paid up front for the whole job. Mike came, took 23 minutes to lift the stones, left them strewn across my front lawn, and left to "buy supplies." We didn't see him again. We would send messages where he would read them and ignore them. It dawned on me the last time he replied, it was because I made a comment on a Facebook post. So I did. And true to form, this is when we got a reply. I was over it, he pulled up our stones in early May, and this is now WEEEEEEEEKS later, and I have a muddy trench for a walkway. I told him I would keep reviewing until I got a refund. He agreed to refund and we even agreed to a payment plan (which means he took our money and spent it elsewhere since he didn't have it OR supplies to give back). A month later - he's now missing his payments. So back to public comments I went. Mike's reply? He called the police. Over truthful bad reviews. So when the officer came to my door, he was able to see the mud trench he had to avoid, see the messages and the payment plan, see that Mike hasn't paid, and see that every single review I left was truthful. He saw our video doorbell footage of Mike working for under 30 minutes. He told Mike to pay as as per agreement. Mike never finished paying us back. He told us he was keeping $100 for "loss of business" and that he would take us to court if we tried to fight it. A small claims file is $100, so this was absolutely by design. We let it go because it's painfully obvious that his business is a failure and he needs the money more than I do - but had he taken me to court, with all the texts and video footage I have, he would be paying all my fees and the $1300 I paid to fix his work. Save yourself the headache. Go literally anywhere else in town. read more
