shady business practices - do not recommend I wish I would have read these reviews before I booked them and would have steered clear. Needed to change the date and they couldn't accommodate and because of that lost a deposit. Never told me about it, never signed anything. This was the worst mover I ever used. The scheduled day of moving was cancelled since they didn't have any employees to move me and it was raining. The next day the move happened and my walls were damaged while the bed was being moved and the legs of the bed weren't installed because they were not assemled correctly. Update: The owner of the company responded to this review and no I'm not the daughter of the lady that paid I'm a roommate that paid for the move and a new bed frame out of my own pocket. Thank you very much. There's no excuse to just leaving my bed frame on the side of the house that I get to see EVERYDAY entering my home because I'm not able to move it to the garbage on my own. Not every company is perfect but some decent courtesy is expected. Maybe don't schedule your employees to do back to back jobs so they get overworked and become sick in their customers home and unable to do their job. That's on you. read more

This is her husband, Rob. Not going into details. This man is an amateur! Never kept to his word, damaged furniture, knicks in furniture, dents in appliances, inexperienced workers! You name it, he destroyed it! Would only recommend him to my worst enemy! He did the move for my sister-in-law, suppose to take 2 days. Took just under three days! Had a good experience with Mike Moves Pittsburgh. The owner of the company is organized and on top of things. He was upfront about the total cost; the amount paid on moving day was exactly as quoted. The moving team of 3 finished the local move in about 2.5 hours (although there is a 3 hour minimum). They were courteous and laid down cardboard inside the home to protect the wood floors. It was a rainy day -- they also took off their muddy shoes when moving furniture upstairs to keep the carpets clean. Overall, it was a smooth move. I recommend this company! read more

These guys rock!! They arrived promptly, did a walkthrough with us and got to work! They were very skilled - wrapping everything with care and loading the POD to maximize space and minimize the chance of any damage as the POD is transported to Michigan, including a piano. I moved January 30th yes New Years Eve, 2 weeks later I noticed that one of my build in shelves were broken. I reached out to Mike the owner and he told my husband that 2 weeks was to long for them to do anything about it. Mike said he couldn't see taking out a 1000 dollar claim for that and that he's not fixing my house. I also told him that all the boxes did not go in all the right places. He started making excuses to why my boxes were in the wrong places. He told me my boxes weren't in the right places because no one was outside directing the men. That was very untrue because I was outside the whole 8 hours it took the men to move my belongings. He was very rude and didn't try to resolve the station. He then became upset and said we were just looking for conflict and he was on the road and hung up in my face. I would never recommend this moving company to anyone. It looks like a have to pick a star but if it was up to me I would not give Mike's movers any stars. read more

They loaded her one bedroom apartment that was on the sixth floor in 45 minutes. They delivered and unloaded everything at our home. A move is a stressful event, so one really doesn't need movers who make a scene and add to that stress. Our move took a little longer because another person in the building was using the same elevator, but also because the truck the movers had brought was too small for the furniture I had listed (NOT my fault). So they took two trips (a 6-min drive each). By the time they were about to finish it was almost 3:30 pm. We had a new sofa recently delivered to the garage and since they get paid hourly, my husband asked them if they could help move that up as well (it would take 10 minutes maybe??). The driver started screaming on the street that he wanted to go home, and refused to do it. His behavior was so crazy that one of the other guys came in and started apologizing to us, and told us he would help but was worried the driver would drive off and leave him behind. So, they left us with great embarrassment in the new neighborhood and a sofa to carry upstairs ourselves. But that's not all. They dropped and broke the surface of a coffee table that was part of a set. The owner told my husband to stay put on Saturday morning because someone was going to come assess the damage. No one showed up. Finally, they charged my husband an extra $300 dollars, claiming that one of the packages they took upstairs was 300 lbs. The weight listed on that package was actually the weight of ALL parts together which were in DIFFERENT boxes, so they never carried a 300-lbs-package upstairs. To summarize, embarrassment, damage, overcharge, and incomplete help is what we got from this company. Not an experience I wish on anyone else. read more

For the most part, I would highly recommend them. You get 3 movers for a very reasonable price of $95/hour and they work very efficiently, no slacking no breaks getting the job done without damages. I was very impressed and if I had to create a slogan for them it might be something like "Totally haul ass and won't break your glass." Just a couple things that ticked me off, in being honest here - they left a half hour early still on the clock not taking everything I had asked and they somehow disconnected a major cable from my computer screen and lost it, requiring the extra expense of buying a new cable and paying a computer geek squad guy $130 for a house call. But all in all I'd say well worth it and very professional. read more

Sees nothing wrong with blocking an alley in order to move appliances despite the fact there are multiple places to pull off so that the box truck allows other neighbors and tradesmen to access their destinations. When I politely asked if he would be willing to move the truck 50 ft so that I could pass by with my truck and trailer he was rude and hostile. He told me he was working and that he didn't have to move the truck because alleys aren't public roads... I ended up backing a trailer up 300 yards down a narrow alley. I wouldn't touch this business with a ten foot pole. Look elsewhere. read more
