When you need to get shit painted and don't want to mess around with it!
By way of background: When I moved into my condo, over the span of about 2 weeks, between leaving my old place and moving in, I performed the following back breaking activities with some help:
scraped all the ceilings, retextured the all the ceilings, primed all the ceilings and painted all the ceilings.
Needless to say my back was fucked up for a good month after all of that. I was proud of the work I had done and it was 99% right. There were parts that could've been done better, but overall I was pleased.
My next big project was going to be painting. It took me MONTHS to figure out the color scheme. With colors in hand I began my research into the project. As a new homeowner of a condo, I had shit experience painting. Furthermore, unlike when I did the popcorn, there was furniture et al to work around, protect and generally not fuck up. And I knew, that if I messed up, I would have to look at it every damned day.
It was off to Lowes and Home Depot to try and find the paint and materials. And then I got to thinking about all the work I would have to do to prep, mask off, blah blah. Fuck that.
I talked to Chris of Mike Lewis Maintenance, and we worked out the color scheme. The price she gave me was COMPETITIVE. However, I had been over to their house to see their work and that killed a lot of my doubt. Turns out they do that practice a lot; bringing people over to the house to showcase their work. I was sold. I contracted her to come in and paint my downstairs and wall by the stairs. All told we were looking at 5 colors.
So I said cool. She came in and knocked it out while I was at work! Boom done!
On a follow up visit she commented on how I requested the entry way to be painted and a wall facing the living room needed to painted. And she would do it for free because it *bothered* her so much and it needed to be corrected. Talk about dediction and professionalism.
As far as I know they will paint most anything on or in a dwelling; inside, outide, doors, window...you name it.
4 stars for the awesome job
