UPDATED: Called these guys again for another needed non emergency repair. Called them Monday later afternoon, they gave me a ball park quote on the phone. They got to my home Tuesday morning, competed the job quick and stayed within the quote. Thanks guys! Definitely recommend. They came and gave us a quote to fix an overflow in the tub that had a major leak. They let us know we're gonna have to cut a hole in the wall ourselves and they will be back. We called them a few days later and they got us on the books for the next day. They came out and it was a bigger job than they thought and didn't even charge us more then the original quote. Top notch company here - I will never use anyone else. They are prompt with visits and when they encountered an issue that was rough to solve the owner even came to help problem solve. They do NOT guarantee thejr work. Their warranty is worthless. We had a leak dripping from the top floor bathroom leaking into the kitchen. We paid their fee which they claimed warranted their work. The leak was not fixed and we called them to come back. They claimed they put in a washer, but it still leaked. I called them to come back and they said I would have to pay again. I asked, Don't you guarantee your work? She said yes but you will have to pay again. They need to look up warranty in the dictionary. We are in the middle of a remodel so our contractor's plummer fixed the leak and found that the washer they had put in was used!! Call Randall Plumbing instead! read more

I have always been happy with the prompt, courteous service Mike Bachman's company provides, and I speak as someone who has used their service since shortly after moving to Ogden, which is more than a couple of decades ago, now. I've had them do a variety of jobs over those years, including drain clearing, replacing the water heater, and checking my main sewer line for tree roots. They are my go-to plumbers who have consistently done a good job in a timely manner. Called them out for non emergency service. Toilet had backed up previous day and soaked the bathroom floor. Was an entire day later he showed up (that's ok didn't want to pay the emergency fee) by that time (apparently the problem had subsided). Paid $70 for their fee to come here + another $70 some odd dollars to have the guy hit is with a plunger 7 times and flush the toilet 5 times saying all was good. Told us it would be another 100+ dollars to actually snake the thing. Declined that because banks are hard to hold up these days. Immediately went to Home Depot after and bought an auger for $10 and pulled all Sorts of crap out. Note to others, get an auger. Took 5 minutes and good to go. read more

Terrible company. Warranty is less than any other company, most are 5 years. "Plumber" hung up on me, very unprofessional. Our water main broke AGAIN 4 years after they replaced it, done incorrectly. Company wanted us to be without water for 48+ hours due to THEIR mistake. read more

Definitely would not recommend. Plumber was dispatched to house, as the kitchen sink area and bathroom sink were leaking. Plumber identified the source of the leak to be coming from the faucets. Quoted $700 to replace faucets and to install a new garbage disposal motor. Charged $49.95 for the call and to identify the issue. Plumber was on property for 46min. Come to find out 2 days later that the source of the leak was NOT the faucets. The source was the water supply line to the fridge- the supply line connects to the sink and should have been identified at the time of the inspection. I phoned the owner Mike and requested a refund of the $49.95 as this was not caught by the Plumber nor was any work done. The owners response to me was "this was missed by the plumber and we were on your property for 46min so I will not refund you your money. This was a huge oversight by the company and should have been identified by a certified professional plumber. I turned the water source off from the kitchen sink area, and I found the leaking supply line. It took me a matter of 20min to find the source. Mike should said "sorry,we should have caught that, and we will refund you." I honestly don't mind paying for consulting and would have been worth the money if the plumber did his job and found the source of the water leak. DO NOT USE. read more

I'm from hawaii and we have a vacation home in Utah. I have to say this guy is impossible to get ahold of and find his staff. He takes forever to return calls as well, being were jet lag and tired having busted pipe somewhere in our home doesn't make happy customers! I had MBP install a water heater 2 years ago and today (Friday) we had no hot water. We didn't realize it till 4:00 PM and by that time it was too late to get anyone to come look at it for less than $200!! BUT.... after hanging up the phone, frustrated and resigned to the fact that we would have no hot water till Monday... one of their techs called back to try and help me do some checking in the hopes it would work. It didn't and I went back to being resigned. 5 minutes later, Chad called and said he would stop by and see if he could do anything as he just might have the part on his truck. He didn't but he was able to have ANOTHER tech stop as he was going by on the highway who did have the part. Weekend saved! We already have a houseful and more are coming for a Christmas party. That is some quality customer service. Very rare and getting harder to find these days. My appreciation is honest and so is my future loyalty to this great company. I had a leak from an external spigot connected to my house that was leaking on a Sunday morning and searched for an emergency repairman online. Bachman advertised "no job too small." To prevent water damage between my internal and external wall, I had to call. Bachman's 24/7 service was outrageously expensive--$200--because they did not consider this an emergency! From the moment I noticed this leak outside to the moment I decided to call a repairman they leak was progressing quickly. Bachman suggested waiting until Monday morning to make the house call. Unbelievably poor customer service and gouging tactics. I called Roto-Rooter instead for a fraction of the cost. read more

Life gets tougher and things do go up but this company is the last one I would recommend. First I had to supply the ladder, diagnosed the problem and had to clean up after the plumber left. Called him to inquire on price for Water Heater. Was told $800.00 bucks for new heater and install. (no other parts). He promptly blurts out, "when should I schedule to come out?" "What is your address?" Feeling pressured, I told him my address and he stated he would have someone out within 2 hours. In the mean time I called another guy was told $488.00 for exactly the same water heater. (no other parts). The second guy told me that I might need a pressure relief valve which would run about $100.00 installed. Doing some math I realized that even with the extra part I would be spending at least $200.00 less. I called Mike Bachman plumbing back and told him I would not be using him. His receptionist took the message. 5 minutes later Mike Bachman called me back frustrated, he complained that I should have let him know sooner that I would cancel and that he had already dispatched someone to my home in Logan from Ogden (45 miles/1 hour away). I apologized for the later notice but told him the price difference was difficult to ignore. He then proceeded to scold me for the late notice, and started to say that anyone else would do a inferior job, lower quality product, uninsured, won't stand by the work etc. and that I would most likely regret my decision. Hate to say it, but I was not impressed. I had assumed he was sending someone from locally. I had no intention of using someone from so far away. I felt he pressured me into a quick decision (which I briefly fell for) and cried like a baby when I changed my mind. By the way, the plumber I used cost me a good $200.00 less even with extra parts required for the job (pressure relief valve and new expansion tank). He was licensed by DOPL to do plumbing, was pleasant and professional. Not pushy in the least. Even the plumber from Mike Bachman that had been dispatched called me, I told him I got a better price. He asked what it was to which he replied "I would go with that guy for that price" I wouldn't recommend him unless you just want to toss your money, and want someone pushy. read more

These guys are probably the worst with customer service I have ever dealt with. I called them up to have them come out to my place to give me a bid on repairs. They said it would cost me $49.95 to just have them show up to give me the quote, I was fine with that. Then once they got to my place I showed them where the leak was coming in to the house from the street from the main. I had already dug up the pipe to see if it was within my capability to repair, it was not. So once they got here the hole had back-filled with water and he said it would cost me an additional $500.00 to get a pump in here to drain the water to be able to give me a quote, I said hold on a second and I used a bucket to empty the water so he could then see the break in the pipe. He saw the break and said I can fix that for around $1000.00 but I can not promise you anything without getting closer to the break to verify. I said then kneel down and take a closer look the pipe is only 2 to 3 feet below the surface. He than said no he didn't want to get his knees wet from kneeling on the wet grass. He would prefer to let the ground dry up more. I said really your a plumber are you not used to getting wet? He said it was too early in the morning for that. He then handed me a bill for the $49.95 for coming out to give me a quote that he could not actually promise me a firm price on. I ended up going with someone else who came out and got there knees wet and didn't charge me for the quote. $395.00 to fix it is way better than $1000.00 that Mike Bachman guessed at. read more

I am new to radiator heating, and had shut off one of the radiators in a room we don't use. Woke up this morning to the thing shattered. I have since learned that the water probably froze and broke the unit. DIdn't learn that from Mike Bachman plumbing though. When we called them, the person who answered the phone said to wait, Mike wants to talk to us. This Mike, and I don't know that it was the owner, is rude, asks us why we had the heat off in that room, tells us it's $99 just to come out , we tell him that is fine, we just need it taken care of. Then he tells us he has to talk to the landlord, who happens to be on a plane. When we tell him that. He says, "I don't care." Now, I understand needing to talk to the landlord and that he can't do anything without her say so. But the person we spoke with was simply rude, belligerent, and condescending. I'm not only impressed with this company's work I am also impressed with the quality of individuals they have on staff. I recently had back surgery and can't get around easily anymore. I explained this to the girl who booked my appointment so when they sent someone they would know it takes me a while to get to the door. They sent Chad out and he called me when he arrived and was very patient in waiting for me to get to the door. He also very kindly helped me back to my couch. The work was done quickly and was priced reasonably, but that's not what impressed me. After he left I noticed from the front window his truck still parked on the street. We had recently had some strong winds and my garbage cans had been blown over and garbage was spread all over my yard. I live alone and had no way to pick it up. I then noticed Chad carting my garbage can back and forth across my yard picking up every scrap of garbage he could find. When he was done he got in his truck and left, he didn't even come to the door to tell me what he had done which shows that I don't think he did it for the praise. He probably didn't even know I saw him do it. I want Mike Bachman to know what a wonderful employee he has. read more
