It's kind of pricey here and to be honest it's not that good. We don't have much options for good Mexican food in this Area so we are limited but honestly prices are not worth the quality here. I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food. The aguachiles aren't bad but my enchiladas Im not fond of. I like my chicken shredded which is how most Mexican restaurants do it but the red sauce is not good either. I hope they get better I really wanted to like it. 5/5 Just for the unlimited salsa and chips bar alone! I've never had guacamole that smooth, creamy, and spicy before. The chipotle sauce also had a nice smoked, BBQ like depth to it. It wasn't too spicy either. I can honestly say that I'd be able to sit down here all day and just chow down on the chips and salsa. The selection of agua frescas is also really nice to have as well. We got to try the cantaloupe drink and its really refreshing and not too sweet. Afterwards we refilled cups and cups of their horchata. Very sweet, flavorful, and not watered down like many other places that give us access to unlimited refills. We also got the chorizo breakfast burrito. It's pretty big. The food was made to order, fresh, honest, homestyle cooking. Delicious. We had the pozole, chilaquilles, Al pastor and flan. Service was attentive and hands on. Multiple employees acknowledged us and asked if we needed anything. When taking our order they made thoughtful suggestions and engaged with what we like. We discovered Mikasa about 6 years ago and despite us not living or working in this area, we keep coming back. Pre-pandemic, the salsa bar + aquas frescas on top were a big draw. The vibe was casual, but festive- perfect for a casual date night or a big family dinner. The flan and tres leches cake is to die for. Nowadays, things are a little different- no all-you-can-eat salsa bar... but some things don't change. The food is yummy and vibrant. I've liked everything I've eaten here- usually combo plates with tacos or enchiladas. Today I ate the 2 taquitos and 1 tamale plate and it was soooo good. I love this little place. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions. They offer a variety of Mexican cuisine and huge, refreshing agua frescas. My personal favorite is their chimichanga con al pastor; it tastes wonderful, is fried to a flawless flaky golden brown, and is pretty big! It comes with crema and guacamole. Every restaurant usually has its own salsa, and Mikasa is no exception. Their salsa roja is served with homemade tortilla chips; it's a more watery salsa with chunks of tomato and onion, topped with cilantro. It tastes great, and I personally love the onion pieces. Came by to satisfy my burrito craving and was sorely disappointed. I guess they close early now like at 5 or 6pm. Not certain because hours isn't updated here on Yelp. I asked for a Al pastor burrito as per usual but he informed they ran out of Al pastor but had carne asada. Regrettably I agreed to carne asada and when I got the burrito it was the most sorry filled burrito ever! The carne asada was like bottom barrel and filled with inedible pieces of fat that I continually spat out while trying to eat. I ended up throwing away half of the burrito. It was inedible. Big disappointment from a place I used to love to frequent. Not sure of what's going on over there but I hope they can return to their previous form. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Oh my Buddha I've been missing out!! I've been going to Mayan tacos nearby but I've totally missed this place. Their wet burrito is so beautiful I didn't want to eat it. I asked for half and half of the red and green sauce. My bf wanted 2 pastor tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was delicious! The total was about $21 for 4 items. Their UNLIMITED SALSA BAR! Wow! I literally got one of each to pack Togo and every single sauce was delicious. It's too difficult to explain with words. You need to come try it! A friend has been pushing me to try this location but I never got around to it because they always close so early. I wish they were open later. I would've been here numerous times. They literally took 10 minutes to complete our order. I called about 15 minutes to closing and the nice lady was more than happy to put in our order. By the time we got there (literally 7 minutes from where we were at), the food was ready Togo! This is my next new Mexican spot! This is probably the closest authentic Mexican food restaurant near work. The majority of the staff have been coming here for years, and no one does it better. I think its the free chips and dips which everyone likes the best. The food comes out really quick, and the beans and rice are spot on. The location is among warehouses and auto shops, so you would not expect to see a restaurant in this area. Parking could be a challenge, so come before 12 or after 1 PM. I enjoy finger foods, so Taquitos were calling my name. The amount of fresh guacamole was just right, as well as the free chips. Mikasa offers a variety of dishes, salsas, and aguas frescas for a great value. I got the chicken burrito which was very large for about $6, and even came with a little side salad. Add to that the various items from the salsa bar and you've got a pretty complete meal. The salsas range from a mild pico de Gallo, to an orange chipotle salsa that's a favorite of my coworkers, to a very spicy avocado salsa. They also have the staples like roasted jalapeños, pickled carrots with onion and jalapeño, radish, cucumber, and lime, plus free self-serve chips. The salsas are fun to mix and match, but I felt like I was missing a more acidic one to balance out the smoky chipotle and richer hot guacamole. I expected to get this from the tomatillo, but it was actually still pretty hot, and I wished there was another one to balance this out a bit. By the end of the meal I found that I liked a lot of these more when I added a little lime to them. Service was also very friendly, and all in all this was a great lunch. Stumbled upon this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant on the way to LA. I was craving Chile relleno and saw that they had it on the menu. Unfortunately, I was told that it'd take 30 minutes to prepare, so I opted for the chicken & cheese enchilada and asada taco combo for about $11. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Caught me off guard that it was just 1 enchilada, but the meal came with rice, beans and a side salad so it manage to get me full. The meal also came with free chips and salsa. Food was pretty good. This place is authentic Mexican, and it's definitely a hidden gem. Came here this past Thursday for lunch for my first time with a few coworkers. One of my coworkers is a regular here who often raves about this place, so I was excited to check it out. I ended up ordering a carne asada burrito, priced around $6.75. This is the kind of restaurant where you order and pay at the front, then take a seat and wait for your food to be delivered. The decor inside is pretty cool, with lots to look at, including a lot of sports memorabilia. There's a decent amount of tables, and it wasn't too busy, which was nice and made it easy to find seats. They have chips and salsa to hold you over while you wait, though the food came out pretty quickly. Service was pretty nice and friendly. All in all, I thought the food here was pretty good. I wasn't blown away, but I liked how my burrito came hot and fresh. For the price, it's definitely a pretty good deal. Would I come back? Yeah, why not. The price is cheap, and the food does satisfy. Mix that in with the friendly service and chill atmosphere, and you got yourself a pretty solid restaurant. Go ahead and give this place a try! read more

The owner, he is a friendly gentleman, that's why our family order food from him over the years, unfortunately, his wife was extremely rude, when my husband And I had lunch in the restaurant few months ago, his wife put in the wrong order for us, when we confronted her, she rudely replied we asked too much questions, and gave us the dirty look during the whole time when we were eating there, we can definitely feel unfriendly attitude. Our whole family never went back there again!! When share with my friends this case, they said they had the same experience, perhaps she's discriminated Asian...but her restaurant is near the Asian community.... After reading 5 star reviews of this restaurant I decided to walk in on Friday around 6 pm with the family. This place is easily missed, I missed it and had to make a u-turn. Walked in through the left door. The cashier was taking an order so we stood there wondering if we sit down or we wait. The cashier finishes taking the order and then walks past us to take an order out to a table. We are standing there looking at the menu up above us and we're staring at her and she doesn't say anything by this time I'm a little confused and wondering if this is a sign to walk out. Finally the cashier comes to the register and asks what we would like to order. My husband asks for the Carne en su jugo.. but guess what? They didn't have any. We placed our order and had a seat. They have self serve chips, salsa and aguas frescas and jalapeños. The salsas were delicious and chips were fresh. The cucumber agua fresca was refreshing. The jalapeños were hot/spicy. I noticed they only have 1 cashier/waiter and I'm assuming she has a lot to do and remember and that's why she brought someone else's order to our table. The food is 4 stars. I have to say the beans where delicious probably the best beans I've ever had. The tomatillo salsa was my favorite. I didn't like the carnitas much I guess because I was expecting to see a chunk of meat instead of carnitas that looked like steak. The carne Asada was a little dry but had good flavor. I give them 2 stars for their customer service. The reasons are because they don't greet you when you walk in or when you leave and if they do it takes them a while to acknowledge you. The cashier is not friendly and rushes you as you're ordering. They don't have items listed on their menu available. They have the high chairs stored in the restroom (this is unsanitary and disgusting). read more

Ceviche here is on point! By far the best Mexican restaurant all around from riverside to LA. I've been on the hunt for some really good ceviche and this way by far the freshest and tastiest dish I've been served. The staff here is amazing as well.
