With one of longest stretches of fences in the community that was in dire condition with complete sections missing due to rust Alberto and his team came in and replaced entire posts and rods, sections of rods, sanded, primed and painted our fence. It looks like new and all at a very reasonable price. We were very impressed and highly recommend them.

Our contractor, Daniel, of Safe Side Builders was extremely communicative from the day I first inquired about starting the project through project completion. He has lots of energy and you can tell he is passionate about his work. We also enjoyed working with our foreman Genaro and architect Christos. They were all professional, easy to interact with and communicate our needs and preferences to, and just all around good people, which was important when embarking on a journey of working together daily for close to a year from permit approval to final inspection approval. Any delays in our project were primarily while awaiting city permit approvals for the initial design and changes we later made to the plans that better suited our family's needs and aesthetics. Safeside Builders was always prompt, efficient, and worked swiftly to completed its parts in the project. They also have many reliable subcontractor recommendations, some of which we used, but they respected and encouraged working with our own subcontractors when we preferred to. Although this was not the cheapest estimate we received for the project, we saw their work in person and moved forward with this company because we were impressed by the quality of their work and materials, as well as testimonials from other customers. We have already recommended Safe Side to family and friends for their design and construction needs and they have reported back that they are very pleased as well. Many thanks to Daniel and Safe Side for turning a dream into a reality.

Daniel Alon was recommended by a friend & he didn't disappoint! In my head, I knew exactly what I…read morewanted for my bathroom & through trials & tribulations, he and his team helped me realize exactly what I pictured. When I called Daniel, he came out immediately & had a quote within a day. A lot of contractors won't even respond to a request to just renovate a bathroom. I got such a good vibe from his responsiveness & positivity that I didn't even get any other quotes. Throughout the process, Sabino, Jenaro (?) and Chui arrived on time and did everything with a smile, as did their tiler, Choco. And they really know what they are doing. When I freaked out because I realized I didn't like the bench tiles I picked out, they gave me options & calmed me down. They'd always give me their honest opinion, and they answered my zillion questions along the way. In fact, Daniel encouraged me to ask questions. Even once the job was finished (and paid for), when there were a couple of things I didn't love, they came back to fix them. I absolutely loved everything about working with Daniel - his responsiveness/communication (what contractor returns every call, text or email promptly - even if it's to say he's in a meeting but will call me in a bit), his encouragement & reassurance (don't worry - you spend every day in there - let's make sure you get the beautiful bathroom you want), and the competency, friendliness and reliability of his entire team! I just can't rave enough.... take a look at the photos - gorgeous!!!!!!!!!

I was…read moreconcerned about drainage and the flow of water away from the house and away from the retaining walls. I have clay soils so my house is always shifting after the rains. The solution of the two other contractors was simple sloping. Erasmo suggested a drain pipe as well as sloping to direct the water away from both the house & retaining walls and off the property. I felt he listened to my concerns and had the best solutions and recommendations for my property. I had one other estimate and then decided to go with Erasmo. His quote was very reasonable and within my budget though I didn't tell him my budget. Along with the pavers he built me a planter to hide a hideous cracked cinder block wall that had oozing cement on my side, added some more cinder block to a wall that wasn't all the same height and built a redwood fence. I highly recommend the look of the pavers with a sealer applied. They did a great job and Erasmo was there everyday with his crew so I felt comfortable going to work after the morning meeting. I noticed Raymond filling in gaps with silicon of the metal railing that he did not fully weld. He told me it is ok this is perfectly acceptable. (I hired another welder to finish his work and the welder said Raymond cut corners.) Two sections of the railing that they were suppose to repair, one section was only welded on two sides (square railing) and the other section they did not cut out and replace. I paid them in cash the same day and when I went to paint the railings the next day I discovered the missed work. I proceeded to contact Raymond who only made promises to come back out, never providing a definitive date and time. Anyone who does this in my experience has not intention of returning. An ethical business would provide a date and time. Needless to say after texting and calling Raymond many times, he just stopped responding and would not pick up his phone. He never returned as he promised, only provided lies, lies and more lies. I hired another welder who finished the job who said you should never put silicon to fill a welding gap, it simply will not hold. Very disappointed that Raymond would not follow through on his promise. Run from these guys.
