I first came here on a Groupon voucher, but enjoyed it so much I've been back several times since. The main reason is that Ivy are great value for money, especially with their frequent offers. Every month a new email is sent out detailing the offers for that month, and it's worthwhile checking their Facebook page too. Most recently I had a 60 minute full body massage with Lana, and because she's new I got 40% off! And ohhh it was good. I absolutely love massages, and this was just as good as any other I've had before. My shoulders are still very knotty (though Lana really went at them) so I'll probably be back soon for another go. On their Tempting Tuesdays they do several popular treatments for only £20, including a 30 minute Swedish massage, so it's an affordable treat. I'm glad I found Ivy, especially given it's near my flat so absolutely perfect for popping into after work. If you live locally you should definitely give them a try too.

I was able to book a massage appointment online, half an hour neck, shoulder and back massage. I paid when checking out and after the massage was finished. The online booking system is so simple and you can book any of the treatments they offer. Besides massage, they also do nails, waxing and toes etc. I had Zoe as my masseuse. She really tried to loosen up my neck. The treatment room was very relaxing. Lots of plants everywhere, even in the waiting room, on the walls and ceilings. I listened to soothing music whilst being treated. They also offer 6 treatments for the price of 5. Will I be back? Yes definitely!

I went to the wax bar straight afterwards because I wanted to cry at my nails. They gave me an appointment for the sat morning although I think they got me in after I showed them my nails. They were a joke. I felt sorry for them also as it's not nice having to put some one else's work right. They had no problems with this and just wanted to put them right for me. Sat morning and the service, the treatment was first class here in the wax bar. The girls were lovely and I think they were all pleased including me with the end result. They are now beautiful for a exciting and beautiful day on Monday. I could not be more thrilled with my nails. And this time I have shellac on my nails instead of nail Polish and a clear top coat that just came off with nail Polish. I am so so pleased I choose the wax bar and have to say they have gained a happy customer and I most certainly will go back. I also happened to pick up a price list of all the procedures they do so will definitely be taking some of these treatments up also. Needless to say I am walking on air now with my nails. So after a bit of wear, here's my verdict: Ewa still does an amazing set of lashes - it was hands down one of the most natural looking sets I've had done, which is impressive for lashes at that length. This would still be a great spot for special occasion lashes. However, for regular extensions, this is a hard pass from me. Though natural, the first set was patchy in the first week and nearly gone in the second. Keep in mind, I'm not the most delicate, which is why I opted with a three vs two star: it's very likely that someone with a little more attention to detail could make them last a bit longer. But having had sets that have gone the distance and having paid more here than any of my other Edinburgh lash trials - it wasn't worth it for a regular do.

SBL is owned and operated by Iram - who is great! So great in fact, I go about twice a month! (Iram used to work for a very popular/well known West End beauty boutique but decided to open her own business.) I regularly get my eyebrows threaded, manicures (shellac), and waxing done by Iram. For waxing (especially intimate waxing) - Iram is the best. She is so quick, makes it pain free, and is a perfectionist. She is also really keen to help you get into a routine to prevent any ingrown hairs and provides really good info on what to do at home and between treatments. My shallac manicures last at least two weeks and they rarely chip. (I usually get bored with the colour and get my manicure removed because my nails grow quickly!) I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for about 10 years and am super picky. Iram knows what is good for your face and adjusts the threading treatment appropriately. Iram also specialises in other beauty treatments, such as: eyelash extensions, eyelash tinting, make up application and spray on tans. One of things I really like is that SBL is text you receive a text a day before your treatment, which is a great reminder. I highly recommend Iram! (Just hope she doesn't get too busy now!)

Imarni specialises in a wide range of services, these inlcude: Facial and body therapies, Ionithermie, Manicure and Pedicures, Eye treatments, Hair Removal (waxing, electrolysis etc), Tooth Whitening, Spray Tanning and Professional Make-up. They use, amongst others, Environ, Phytomer and Jane Iredale products. (Jane Iredale make-up is the best Ive come across for sensitive skin) I now go reqularly and have my legs waxed but have also had my nails done and even had a spray tan once. The lady was very nice, friendly & efficient. She explained the process, regularly checked I was ok & finished the treatment with a cooling compress to reduce redness. Would definitely go back.
