Working with Emel has been one of the biggest breakthroughs in my healing journey. As soon as I read her website I knew that Emel understood many of my struggles at a deep level and that somatic healing work with her was what I needed. Seriously - just read her website and you'll understand, she gets it and has a uniquely effective approach! I have worked with so many practitioners on physical, mental, energetic, and nervous system healing, but I needed her somatic healing approach to connect the pieces and dive deeper to truly understand and break free from the pain, trauma, and patterns I was stuck in. Emel truly cares, is extremely empathetic, and works hard to understand the full picture and the root cause of issues. She made it easy to open up to her and to myself, allowing me to better understand myself, my patterns, and my triggers/reactions. Each session varies depending on my needs or desired focus, ranging from somatic healing, energy flow, and visualization work to more traditional talk therapy. The results of working with Emel were immediate and ongoing: relief from physical pain caused by stuck energy, emotions, or tension, as well as minimization of triggers, anxiety, depression, and other patterns I was stuck in. I cannot recommend working with Emel enough, regardless of what you are going through! Thank you Emel! read more

You know when people say that things happen for a reason? I definitely feel that meeting Emel was something meant to happen at the right time. My partner and I were in search of a therapist and we met with several before making a choice. However, after the initial consultation, we did not need to interview with anyone else. My partner and I both felt that she was a perfect fit. Through several somatic techniques and practices, lifestyle changes were implemented in a positive way. We saw a change in our communication with each other and also with other people. I now regularly practice P.O.W.E.R (if you don't know this acronym...book your appointment with Emel) and mindfulness in all avenues of my life. Thank you Emel I will surely book again if your services are needed. :) read more

Working with Emel has been a transformative experience for me. I've worked with therapists for most of my life, but this was my first time with a somatic practitioner, and I now realize it was exactly what my mind and body had been missing. In the past, I've spoken about my trauma somewhat matter-of-factly, but Emel has a gentle, intuitive way of helping me connect to the physical sensations of my pain while I talk about it. From our very first session, I felt incredibly safe with her--a safety I hadn't realized I was longing for. That sense of trust allowed me to let go in ways I never had before, leading to a release of emotions I hadn't experienced since I was a child. Emel is truly skilled at what she does, and I'm so grateful to have found her. If you're considering somatic work, I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

I was honestly nervous about starting this because I didn't think I'd feel comfortable talking to someone about my personal stuff. But working with Emel has been completely different from what I expected. I actually look forward to our sessions. She's so easy to talk to--like, she actually listens and doesn't just give you generic advice. I always feel like she really gets what I'm trying to say, even when I don't explain it that well. She's super patient and understanding, so it's easy to open up without feeling judged or pressured. She helps me think about things in a way I never did before, and I've learned a lot about myself. Our work together has made such a big difference for me. read more

Emel is outstanding. She has helped me in several areas - the biggest being anger issues that I have dealt with most of my adult life - as far back as I could remember. Working with her I have l been able to better regulate my emotions - I actually feel calmer and more at ease in every day life and I can connect to what I would call happiness more readily. More than that, though, I have come to an actual understanding of what is behind my anger reactions. I feel I have learned to read the root of my emotional reactions so I feel motivated to do something about it. She has also helped me with motivation. After many years of feeling stuck I am finally making moves to pursue my passion and start my own business. I am beyond grateful. read more

The space she stewards is warm, deeply rooted, alchemical, and expertly crafted to meet her clients exactly where we are on any given day. If you are longing to be deeply seen, held, believed in--and to have your own innermost beauty, power, and sparkling magic coaxed into the light for you to discover anew--it is time you met Emel! read more

I worked with Emel during the past few weeks and truly appreciated her help and support. It had been a difficult time for me, and Emel was a critical help. I was impressed not only by her expertise in the relationship and couple therapy field, the useful tools she introduced, but also by how good a listener she is and how she can quickly observe patterns and key issues in the relationship. I usually felt that she observed key points I had not yet shared with her and it was amazing to feel someone could see the issues accurately. She was also very patient and would always listen and help me organize my thoughts and propose next steps. As I was in an emergency state, Emel also tried to be very flexible and available to me so we could talk as soon as possible when I needed to. Overall I learned a lot from Emel and I really enjoyed talking to her. read more

We would give 10 stars if we could! My wife and I turned to Mighty Oak Coaching as we were struggling to effectively communicate and work through some big life decisions. We worked with Emel for several months. What we found most valuable was the techniques she taught us to process and understand our own emotions as well as each other's. When we first started, we didn't realize the benefits we would see crossing over in other areas of our lives. It's personally helped me improve my communication and relationships with colleagues and friends. We always felt better after our sessions with Emel because of the way she guided and supported us during our sessions. Overall, we're able to process our stress and anxiety in healthy ways and work through issues much quicker and with positive results. We're so grateful! read more

I've always been against traditional therapy due to bad past experiences and feeling like it was a waste of time, but my session with Emel was completely different. She guided me through techniques I'd never tried before in a way that felt easy and approachable. It's been over a month now, and I'm still thinking about how powerful that session was. Thank you, Emel! read more

I'm a Bay Area Technology Professional, with a large Italian family. That tells you everything you need to know about the stresses in my life. Emel and I reconnected after a long period of time, and I feel that the universe has come aligned to make this happen. From our first session, I felt a deep understanding. She is able to connect and resonate on an incredible level. She's an inspiration on tuning in to what I'm feeling and embracing it, owning it, and manifesting that energy in a constructive manner. Each conversation with her is as comfortable as one with an old friend, who happens to have next level skills and wisdom. The epiphanies we've uprooted, and the techniques She's taught me have been epic. And we've only just begun. I can't imagine not having started these sessions. Her personality is warm and caring and she has a keen intuition. She often knows where I'm mentally leading before I get there. She is professional obviously, but this is more than that. Her mind and spirit are in tune with her profession. Call it a hybrid between profession and trade, because this truly is a calling. She was meant to do this, and i wish I had started working with her years ago. If I can summarize, I would say this: if you're in need, on any level, and this review resonates with you...contact her now. Don't wait. It is absolutely worth it, as I am growing into the man I want to be...perhaps rather...the man I always was, but was hindered by obligations and guilts and social barriers and weights that I never addressed nor knew that I was carrying. Hats off to Emel. She's making an incredible change in my life, and I wish I could do more than a review. But as it stands, here is my review. 5 stars, and I mean FIVE STARS!!!! without question. Contact her, and experience it for yourself!! You won't regret it!! read more

I am a litigator and I also run a couple companies. This means I work in a very demanding and fast paced environment. I have worked with Emel over the last 2 years. Emel is able to help me find clarity and I always walk away with a feeling that the world is lighter. I have found a tremendous value in her approach across both my personal and professional life. She guides me beyond the weeds where many of us tend to get stuck when we face a challenge, and into the bigger picture, the underlying cause. No matter what I bring to her, she has an ability to help me see deeper, get to the heart of the matter, connect with what I truly want and empower me to take the next best step. At the same time, she makes me feel she truly cares and is invested in what I am facing. Almost like my problems are her problems. Finally, they say "therapy is hard work" and I expected coaching to be this way. But it never feels like hard work with Emel. It feels empowering, enlightening, and fun. read more
