I could not overstate the impact Caree has had on me and my family. While counseling support/advice is highly personal, I can attest that Caree's philosophy and approach is straightforward, simple in nature and therefore easy to apply. Listening to excellent advice is great, but actually implementing change is transformative. Caree provides easy to understand tools, that apply to real life and can be used anytime and anywhere. Her approach is underwritten by a sincere desire to listen, and allow the individual to fully express themselves before opining on what is to be done. No psychological-speak, Caree makes you comfortable because she is relatable and kind in her approach. Her office is warm and inviting - a place you're always happy to go back to. I highly recommend Caree to anyone and everyone. read more

Working with Caree Brown has already been a truly hopeful and meaningful experience for me and my two adult children. We've participated in both family sessions and individual sessions, and one thing we all agree on is that she gives us hope. After meeting with her, we feel encouraged, supported, and optimistic about the healing work ahead. I'm grateful for her guidance and truly look forward to the growth, healing, and progress we will continue to make together. Highly recommend. read more

Caree Brown has been such a grounding, transformative presence in my life and relationship. She has this rare gift of holding a ton of space while also lovingly calling you out when it's needed-- never harsh, always with so much care and clarity. My partner and I have grown so much through our work with her. She helps us slow down, see our patterns, communicate more honestly, and actually understand each other. Every session feels supportive, straightforward, and deeply insightful. What I appreciate most is how safe she makes the room feel. She stays present, attuned, and genuinely invested. You can feel that she wants you to succeed; not just as a couple, but as individuals trying to show up better for yourselves and each other. Working with her has grounded our relationship in ways we didn't even realize we needed. I'm so grateful we found her. I went to see Caree Brown as part of a divorce I am going through. I called three different local therapists and Caree reached out super fast. Caree was able to help me evaluate my past relationship and see things in a different perspective which really helped me get to the other side. I can't praise her enough. read more

Caree is wicked smart and incredibly observant. She won't let you just sit in your anger, sadness or frustration -- You learn to identify issues, find solutions and adopt the required skills required to rebuild your relationship. She has taught me to respond to relationship moments--especially conflict--by trying to understand (curiosity) and care (compassion) rather than reacting with blame, defensiveness, or assumptions. Caree is also extremely responsive and generous with her time. When I've needed to meet with her sooner than our scheduled session, she's made time --staying beyond normal hours or reaching out when an opening becomes available. I have the highest respect and admiration for Caree. read more

I was in a tough spot earlier this year in my marriage. I called several therapists to book an appointment for myself and Caree was the only one to call me back. Not only call me back but, call me back within an hour of me leaving a message. I got lucky and was able to see her that same evening. I initially hired Caree to be our couple's therapist. Unfortunately, my ex and I only made it one meeting. I was completely distraught and confused after that meeting. Caree made time for me on the phone that next day (which was a Saturday) and we got together that Monday for a face to face meeting. It was a no brainer to continue to see her after a very long weekend! Caree has time and time again proven herself as a professional, caring, experienced therapist. Her specialty is couples therapy but, i have enjoyed her expertise for my individual self for the last 8 months. Caree has a great gift of balance of listening and challenging your thought process. She is warm and welcoming in her office. I've enjoyed her book recommendation to help me get to a better place than where I was at the start of this year. Caree has help me with my self-esteem and supported me in my decisions to become sober. I cannot recommend Caree enough! read more

My wife and I saw Caree for counseling and she was insightful, understanding and impartial yet sensitive. Caree helped navigate a complex relationship to a place of calm and mutual understanding between us. It allowed us to individually and collectively grow and reconcile. I simply couldn't give a higher recommendation for both couple and personal counseling. read more

I absolutely love Caree! My beloved pitbull passed away June 2023 and I was severely depressed for months before I finally told myself I needed help. I searched on Yelp and took a chance with Caree. Our first meeting went well and I decided to stick with her because it felt like a good fit for what I was looking for. I've been with Caree since December 2023. First few months was tough but she stood by my side and gave me the right tools/exercises to help me heal. She honest. She tells me like it is and doesn't sugar coat anything. She also listens, like really listens! I remember the first couple of months was hard. I didn't want to shift my thinking. So she told me, if my sessions don't get better she's either going to prescribe me antidepressants or suggest I get a dog. My choice! I looked at her and asked if I'm ready for another pet. She asked how much longer do you want to be depressed. I knew she was the right therapist for me! I got a new dog. My depression is gone. I still go through emotional ups and downs but I focus on the positives in everything like Caree told me to. I feel like she's my biggest cheerleader and truly wants me to heal and thrive. I still see Caree once a month but if I need an emergency session she'll make herself available to me. Thank you for helping me conquer a difficult time in my life Caree! I appreciate and love you! read more

Caree has helped our family with traditional therapy and also through several periods of crisis over the past 20+ years. One of the things I like is the grace that she uses to gently guide us to changes and good decisions in the midst of resistance and stress. She shows tremendous compassion, and this, combined with excellent therapeutic skills make her a very valuable partner in working with some serious issues we are currently dealing with. I can recommend her for child, adolescent and adult therapy, addiction work, major depression support and family counseling-because she has been there for all of these for us. I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

First and foremost, please keep in mind that you only get what you put in to anything in life, especially therapy. Once we were able to accept that and fully trust the process, Dr. Brown was able to help guide us through couples therapy. She stresses the importance of consistently filling each other's love tank by speaking the other person's love language rather than our own. She is quick to sense and read through the hurt feelings and ask the right questions for reconciliation to be built. Most of all, she is reassuring! It was important to us to know that we aren't the only couple who is going through growing pains. She's seen couples experience multiple types of growing pains and through her experience she is able to shed so much light onto our situation in order to help us understand what we are going through and how we may navigate through it. It's been a long journey; however, through patience, willingness to be open, doing the "homework" she suggests, commitment, and consistency, we are finally able to see the light and see our relationship improve. Keep in mind the longer it takes you to trust the process, the longer it will take you to see results. Some other helpful tips that helped us is to be proactive! For example: 1) Debrief after each couples therapy session. It's ok to talk about the both of you being in couples therapy and to share your thoughts on how you think it went and/or how you think it can go better. (Is one person dominating the conversation?) 2) Come to couples therapy with questions and/or concerns so that they may be addressed. This will also help maximize your time in couples therapy without having to often sit in long moments of silence or even awkward silence. 3) Check in with each other a few days before couples therapy to come up with a list of questions and or/concerns. We were surprised to learn that we both had the same concerns and we worked together to build a list of questions to ask. read more

My partner and I were in a pivotal point in our relationship. Caree supported us with intentional care, gave us impactful tools, and made us feel hopeful for the future. My partner and I are now in one of the most healthy and emotionally communicative chapters of our partnership and Caree's support has brought us here. Caree's energy is warm and welcoming, and she made me feel comfortable and at home in her office at our first session. Caree taught us guiding lessons that still apply to my life in many moments, and I smile when I remind myself of all of the coping skills and life lessons that she brought into my life. Caree has been my therapist since 2020. She's helped me navigate grief and a terrible divorce. My now partner and I saw her at the brink of a break up. She offered to see us to help with our communication. Believe it or not, it only took ONE session. We've been able to turn it around and on the road to reconnecting! I adore her! Her style works perfectly for me and helps me look at my own work in a loving way. Before Caree, I didn't think that therapy would work for me. I want to thank Carrie Brown for being amazing at what she does and highly recommend her if you are feeling lost and looking for answers. Without her help, I would have never been able to love and accept myself or others. Because of the tools she was able to teach me and the gentle guidance she provided, I am now efficiently achieving my goals and enjoying the life I am creating. Before meeting Caree, I resisted counseling and wasted a lot of time and experienced a lot of heartache trying to figure things out on my own. If this is you too, I applaud you for carrying on and seeking answers. That truly takes courageous and will set you apart when you find the answers you are looking for. However, what I realized is you simply don't know what you don't know and sometimes you need someone else's help to shed light on what you are missing. I found Caree via Yelp, so I'm posting this review because I found the feedback of others to be helpful when I was looking for a therapist. Finding a therapist feels like a complicated treasure hunt. When I met Caree, I knew within the first 1-2 sessions that she would be able to help me. I've been seeing Caree regularly for a few months. What I like most about working with Caree is that she knows what to ask to get a good understanding of family dynamics and she uses a values-based approach to [my] therapy. This has given me a tangible way to think about my life. She's very practical in her approach and willing to work with what is happening "right now" rather than requiring an extensive exploration of history, i.e., childhood history, etc. I highly recommend Caree for family, couples, and individual therapy. read more

I was in a relationship that hit a huge roadblock causing me to shut that particular door in my life. My partner went to Caree Brown after our separation for several months which ended up being life altering for him. He reached out to me asking if I would consider attending a session for closure purposes. I said yes and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Caree sat us both down and helped us communicate in a way I didn't know was possible. Our session ended in what seemed like minutes and before leaving we had another session on the books. I looked forward to what could be and knew that, with her guidance, a bigger and better door would be opened. Fast forward several more months and my relationship is better than I thought possible. Her guidance is filled with easy-to-use tools that has strengthened every aspect of my life. Caree is not only a fantastic counselor, but also a bridge builder and a guiding light. read more

Wow!!! Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Caree Brown and all that she has done for us. My sister and I went in to see her to work on ongoing conflicts we had been having for years, which stemmed from earlier family issues. Caree is endlessly patient and an amazing listener. She is quick to understand and makes keen observations, despite the fact that my sister and I talk really fast. She does not just give general advice--instead, she draws connections and teaches us specific skills that have completely changed the way we communicate. We realized that most of our issues and conflicts came from poor or unclear communication, making assumptions about each others' intentions, etc. and we addressed all these issues. We also delved into how our past and upbringing shaped our harmful patterns of behavior and communication in order to dissect the root of the issue. We are applying the skills she taught us not only with each other, but also in our communication with others, and it has greatly impacted our lives. Our time with her has truly helped us grow as people. The experience was life-changing and we are so grateful. Caree is incredibly considerate and caring, and amazing at what she does. Over my time on this planet (close to half a century), I have experienced a sizable handful of therapists. Some were not good, some were average and a few have been great. Caree Brown definitely falls into the-Great-category. Never have I ever experienced a therapist who is so devoted to the degree of genuine caring, commitment and going the extra 100 miles for her clients. My husband and I both agree, she is a true nurturing angel. She is not the therapist who is watching the clock and will wrap up the session while you are in crisis. Her patience, extensive knowledge and wisdom that only comes from her many years of experience as a therapist has provided us with the gentle and at times firm guidance. That guidance has helped us to heal and strengthen our relationship. If you are still deciding on a therapist, I strongly recommend that you look no further and hope that Caree Brown is taking on new clients. In less than a month, Caree was able to change our views on one another and taught us how to love our differences. Our daily arguments have turned into none and we don't feel like we are "working hard" to be around each other anymore. This women did nothing but tell us book to listen to, plan dates, and to put in request. That's what we got of it after 4 sessions. The first session went rather well although she seemed out of it and we never even talked about why we decided to come in the first place to the extent I wanted to. She spent time talking about our animals. We then did individual sessions. My husband session I think went okay. Mine she messed up the time for the first appointment and said it was at 5 15 minutes before when we text here much earlier. I ended up doing it a later that week. During our session she decided to again talk about my dogs and than talk about my husband and his issues. Not me or my issues or why we decided after 15 years to go to marriage counseling in the first place. She made me feel bad at like I wasn't being there for y husband when he depressed but so am I am and hurt from the fight and things he said that brought us there. Than we did our final session because I wanted to know what to make out of all it. It went awful. She didn't discuss any of the issue said try a date jar. Than she only charged us for the 1st session instead of 4. She caused my marriage a lot more problems than we came in with. She is not professional and doesn't have prices or contracts to sign. She isn't clear about sessions if they are video how they are done. She doesn't send any reminder when your appointment is coming up and just overall ruined my experience. Stay far away from her. She is getting older and after mixing up my husband and mines name so many times I'm starting to think she has some cognitive decline. Her picture on Yelp was her 20-30 years again and doesn't look like her now. read more

My partner and I were at a serious crossroads in our relationship. At the time I didn't feel it was worth saving and was making an exit. But I did agree to talking with Caree for couples therapy. We both attended couples and individual counseling sessions, 4 altogether. Caree guided us through what a good recovery plan could look like for us and was instrumental in bringing us back together. I've seen other counselors before and was very impressed with her straight forward approach, caring personality and professional demeanor.
