I went from a casual browse to a loyal customer. Since the first visit, I have purchased some art, a new dress, and awesome jewelry here. The owner make jewelry and also looks for items locally made- which I appreciate. When I was talking to her about fit, she was able to point me in the directions of pieces that would flatter my shape and skin tone. She is phenomenal and I would recommend visiting her shop for any occasion. Great taste! There is always a sale rack out front :)

This store has everything! The clothes are wonderful (there is something there for everyone), the jewelry (mostly handmade by Margaret herself or local designers) is divine and the store itself makes you feel comfortable and at home, as does Margaret. This is absolutely a must if you live in or are planning on being in Hickory anytime soon! I bought an item right before the COVID-19 shut down so of course I could not return it within the seven day return policy that they have in place. Seven day return policy I think is ridiculous anyway especially for people that may be from out of town. I pointed that out to the sales person working today and because they have been open for over two weeks since the shut down she said they couldn't return it. I have looked several times to see if they were open since shut down and today was the first time I saw them open. So if they are willing to lose a customer over a $20 shirt when I was prepared purchase 4 other ones and a dress then so be it .....I'm done with them! They get a -5 stars from this customer! To be clear I don't hold the sales person responsible, I hold the person whom she called on the phone to ask about that exchange responsible and I'm assuming that was her manager. The isle were clean and the store in general was as well. They do have a restroom should it be necessary to use for customers only. This store is like a huge gift box once you are inside! I was particularly dissatisfied with the selection of women's clothing. It's as if the purchaser believes the target shoppers are all elderly women. I have never seen such antiquated looking clothes in any of the other Ross stores I have visited. There was also a great deal of clothing strewn all over the floor and toys to trip over in the aisles. I wondered if there was anyone on staff who could be spared to occasionally tidy each area because the company could be subjected to lawsuits if someone hurt themselves. I saw one child fall in the middle of an open area of the store and it was alarming. Overall, this location of Ross could truly stand to be re-evaluated for the styles and cleanliness. Let's hope things improve soon!
