The technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional and seemed to be competent. After about 30-45 minutes he told us that we needed to replace the heat pump and that it could not be repaired. We paid the service fee of about $200 and asked that they send out someone who could give us a estimate to replace the heat pump. 2 days later another technician came out, and gave us an estimate. Again, he was on time, courteous, professional and friendly. I mentioned the need to replace the heat pump to a friend who lives in our building. He mentioned another company and so we called them to get an estimate on replace the heat pump. They came out, and looked at it, asked some questions, did some maintenance and the heat pump is working! No replacement needed! Getting this 2nd opinion saved us literally thousands of $. We are so grateful for the other company and will probably not call Acclaimed! again for a repair - since either their technicians are not competent, or they tried to sell us something we didn't need. After I posted this review, the owner of the company apologized for the misdiagnosis and offered to refund the initial service fee. He was very polite, listening and we had a good conversation. He handled this with grace and so much better than other owners. I'll raise my rating to a 2 from a 1 because of this call. It was appreciated.

I spoke with the officer manager to advise them of this behaviour and I was assured it would be addressed as their vehicle have GPS and I have dash cam video. They have never reached out to discuss replacing my damaged items that we damaged due to the negligence of their employee who bu the ay gave me the dirtiest of looks when he was the one breaking traffic laws. He was there an hour and a half and a sizeable living room and 2 smallish bedrooms were done for about 160. It had several small dark stains- paint drops and wax that I didn't expect to come out, but one lighter organic stain was still there when he left, and I was able to lighten it further with not much more than hot water and a towel. I think he got a bit lazy at the end as I had to leave for a bit. All I expect is do your best.

So our 1973 furnace bit the dust last week... not what I had in mind for my 36th birthday present…read morebut c'est la vie! They offer a 24/7 service for die hard moments. We were able to wait until the morning to avoid the middle of the night call out. Ricardo promptly came out and inspected our dinosaur furnace and told me the bad news - broken ball bearings and holes throughout. Ricardo did a temporary fix to keep it partially running while we d schussed options for a new furnace with Curtis. All correspondence was answered promptly via email and Curtis was available by phone as well. A-1 offered to loan us free heaters in the interim as well. We ended up going with a 2 stage high efficiency and an AC coil for future AC install. The quotes were provided via email with links directly to the Bryant website to view the most current information. I can't remember the name of the next gentleman who came out but he was on time and professional. We were really happy from start to finish with the service received. Never debt pressures to buy bigger or more expensive items and things were explained to me in a way I could understand. There were a few hiccups when all was said and done but everything was handled with grace and I feel confident in the service received. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Curtis or his crew for any of your heating or cooling needs. PS locally owned and operated in St. A for +40 years!
