What a wonderful experience today! We made reservations at opening to beat the heat. We took the mighty Argo up to the top to hike back the 5 miles, down to the bottom. The hike was going against the mountain bikers traffic which was nice, so many switch backs. Got a little lost where to continue the hike in the middle due to all the trails coming together, got a little dangerous with the fast bikers. It was fun to see the bikers hooting and hollering about a good ride, all the bikers were friendly towards us. After the long journey down, we headed right back up again to get a bite and a drink. Took a while to get food, it was a food truck. You have beautiful views while you wait. It's expensive if you don't get a discount in my opinion, and if you are not mountain biking. I got a 15% +15% promotion discount so it was worth the experience.

The Mighty Argo Cable Car was a great experience. The cars are literally brand new, offer you gorgeous views of the mountains and a really cool mountain bike trail. Our ride was super quiet, spacious and we learned that some cars have clear floors! Eek! We'll be back

So we checked it out. Google puts you on a wild goose chase but you have to turn down 23rd to Riverside Drive. There are zero signs and everything is expensive the cable car, additional costs to the Mill tour, parking g and beers, food and drink. For the limited experience but amazing views don't merit a $200+ day

Ask the Community - Mighty Argo Cable Car

Is this place and the cable car wheelchair accessible?

Yes and No. There are wide walkways and elevators, but when we went, the Elevator to the cable car was out of order; I would ask before you pay, or even call, before planning a trip.

The trams are smallish and we went up with 6 people on board (plus a wonderful, sweet operator named Michelle (she is so sweet...). Plenty of room and windows open on 3 sides! A second shout out to Michelle and Lance for making the experience that much more pleasant. Highy recommended!

There is a gift shop before you begin and at the top. The ride takes about 7=8 minutes each way. They have continuous one car up and one car down. Each car holds 8-10 people, depending on their weight. They do a good job of keeping groups together. The lines can be long and we waited about 45 minutes to go up and another 25 minutes on the way down. Once at the top, there are hiking trails, some great overlooks, and of course spectacular views. I would say that the views are worth the price. You can buy peanuts to feed the chipmunks, which seemed to be a popular activity. The chipmunks were happy and well fed. The reason for 4 stars is the long wait in line. The views are 5 star but you have to be patient for the payoff.

My…read morehusband and I have visited The Royal Gorge Bridge previously and thought that was an incredible experience but the train ride topped it, believe it or not! The scenery was worth every penny and worth the drive out to Canon City. I've been to some beautiful places in my life like Germany, The Netherlands, Alaska, Austria and seen some breathtaking views but I would put this train ride in the top 10 experiences in my life. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, we had great seats on the train but the sights were the winners. Life is short. Take the train ride.

What an incredible experience from beginning to end!…read more Our trip from California started with Sharon, who helped us with our reservation. She was warm, patient, and extremely helpful in making the modifications we needed. From that first interaction, we felt like we were in good hands. When we arrived, Rainey was thoughtful and accommodating, especially since my wife and I were traveling with her parents, who needed a little extra support and assistance. Her kindness was greatly appreciated. Then we met Susan in the gift shop...an absolute gem. We immediately connected when I mentioned that my late mother's name was also Susan. I asked if she knew the meaning of her name, and she replied, "Lily." That stopped me in my tracks because the book I'm writing about my mother is titled The Lily of the Valley. I promised Susan that when it's finished, I'll send her a copy. In fact, our conversation inspired me to sit down and write while we waited to board the dome train. Once aboard, Thomas, our server, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, informative, personable, and made us feel less like customers and more like family. His service added so much to an already memorable ride. The scenery is spectacular, but what really made this experience special were the people. Sharon, Rainey, Susan, and Thomas each contributed something memorable to our day. A truly wonderful experience and one we highly recommend. It was absolutely worth the investment...and gave us memories we'll carry home to California with us. Truly a happy ending and we' come again. LOL!

Peak 1 Express: I'd use again!…read more I was under the impression the ride was 2-ish hours from the airport to Breckenridge, and I was wrong (which may have been my misunderstanding). The ride is supposed to be *around* 3 hours. We stopped for some folks to transfer, a bathroom stop, then to Silverthorne, then to Breckenridge (which there were 4 different stops for the riders). The ride from the airport to our destination felt much, much longer than my return shuttle. I wish there was a better way to drop folks off on all the small towns on the way (especially when the rentals and cabins are far off the main roads). My first shuttle was half full and it was fairly comfortable for breathing room in between us. I could imagine it being a lot less comfortable if it were a full shuttle (and being on a full shuttle after, I realize how lucky I am to be on a half full shuttle to start). It was on time to pick us up, but we didn't get to leave until closer to 25 mins later due to someone's flight being delayed (also not their fault, drivers arrange with a walkie-talkie system on them fly to talk to the main office to get it sorted). We unfortunately got stuck in about an hour of traffic (to no fault of anyone) and it was high spirits and good tunes. Our driver (Mike?) was so great! He was wonderful to talk to and had lots of stories! My return shuttle was larger and completely full. A little confusing on where to stand in the skier drop lot for Breckenridge, but the driver called me and I was just out of site for him. Drive was great and no traffic this time! My tip is to leave plenty of time from the airport and shuttle, manage your expectations. I could also see a different experience with different drivers/bad weather. From my experience, they do everything in their power to get you where you need to go! I'd use them again.

We luckily booked with Epic shuttle for our way back to Denver airport. We wouldn't want to miss our flights home.

My sister ended up having many conversations with Tad the week leading up to my event after all the negative reviews online to make it known that we were aware of their rep and wouldn't entertain it. Tad ended up coming through in the end. While the bus wasn't the cleanest (stuff had been splashed on the seats, the windows were smudged and grimy with God knows what, and the ac was leaking inside the bus), it wasn't bad and our night ended up great. Our driver, Kathy, was amazing! My sisters phone fell behind the seats and she couldn't get it. Between our first and second stops, Kathy was able to get her phone out. If I could give them a 3.5 I would based on Kathy. Overall, would we choose them again? Possibly. The price wasn't bad but I firmly believe my sisters continued calls are what saved us from a terrible experience with this company.

On the day of my wedding, they were more than 30 minutes late to pick up 15 of our guests because they went to the wrong address. In fact they were so late my guests had to buy Ubers to my wedding (not a cheap Uber ride either, so embarrassing). As a result, my wedding was delayed by 30 minutes and ended up ruining our day-of timeline overall. I should have seen it as a red flag that Tad wanted payment in cash or check upfront. Any other time I would have cancelled my credit card payment, since he didn't deliver on services I paid for. Don't be fooled when Tad sweet talks you over the phone. This is disreputable company who I can't imagine will be in business much longer. Do yourself a favor: pay a few hundred bucks more with another company, and get peace of mind that you won't be totally ripped off and your night ruined.

Realizing she was likely going to miss her flight, which was the last one of the day, we were both in a panic. I couldn't get in touch with an actual human at the service I had set up for her, so I began calling company after company with this absurd request-- for someone to pick up my daughter immediately. My luck finally changed when Nick answered the phone at Summit Express. Instead of the quick "no" I had heard from the first five companies I called, Nick put me on hold for a couple of minutes. He came back and asked if my daughter was ready now; he said they would pick her up in 14 minutes! I looked at Life360 less than 15 minutes after hanging up with Nick, and my girl was on the move, driving to DEN! Because of Nick and my daughter's driver, Jeffrey, she made her flight and wasn't stranded alone overnight in Denver. This morning, we were able to celebrate my mom's final day of chemotherapy/radiation in person with her, which would have not been possible if I didn't get so lucky as to find Summit Express and Nick. Going forward, we will only use Summit Express!
