I'm sure going at nighttime would add to this. Plenty of seating and we got to choose where to sit. Limited bar seats though. We chose a a short back booth which was comfy. Service was good as well, greeted upon arrival and fairly consistent checking for how we were doing. Drinks were tasty, first one I had was the sticks and stones with the second one burnt bridges. Both had unique flavors and vastly different than one another. I'd go back to try a few other thi BHG s and see the vibe later at night.

Once downstairs, you'll see the bar as well as several tables in the dining area. Our group of five opted to sit at a table and ordered drinks and dinner. The servers are nice and attentive even when the place got busy later in our visit. I'd definitely return and probably explore something on the menu that they specialize in.

Removed the scuzzy curtains over the windows, and cleaned the windows. Threw out the booths and put in hi top tables. Too bad they didn't re-do the padding on the barstools, which have been there for 60 years. They kept the Formica on the bar, which has the pattern rubbed off due to all the patrons. Too bad they didn't re-align the barstools to the worn out Formica..would have been a cool touch. They still have the old time schooners for the beer. Best thing in this bar, because the schooners are frozen!

I was ridiculously excited to try Lebowski's Taproom Westside because I am a huge fan of The Big…read moreLebowski. But let me be very clear: whether you worship at the altar of The Dude or have somehow never seen the movie, this place absolutely abides. First off, Sean behind the bar is terrific. Like, "this man deserves a raise, a trophy, and possibly his own spin-off" terrific. He was welcoming, funny, knew the menu, and mixed up one of the best drinks I have had in a long time. I have been to the Bacardi factory in Puerto Rico, and the mojito Sean made me was exponentially better. That is not hyperbole. That is absolute truth. Then came the food, and good lord. I started with the corn riblets and immediately regretted not ordering three or four rounds. Delicious. Dangerous. Life-changing little corn boomerangs of joy. Then I tried the fried pickles, which were also fantastic. Crispy, salty, perfect bar food. Then came the sliders: The Lebowski, The Maude, and The Walter. All three later came back to me in my dreams because they were that amazing. I do not know what kind of culinary rug they are tying the room together with back there, but it is working. Finally, I had The Bunny. Blackberry jam and brie? All day. Every day. That sandwich is not missing, it is exactly where it needs to be: in my face. You want a toe? I can get you a toe. But honestly, I'd rather get another Bunny. Lebowski's Taproom Westside is fun, delicious, creative, and has the kind of vibe that makes you want to cancel your responsibilities and order another round. Sean absolutely crushed it, the food was outstanding, and the whole place made me want to get my ass out of bed and go to work just so I can come back and give them all my money. The Dude abides. And so do I. Five stars.
