They always make sure that we're not paying more than we have to--even if it means telling us that some job we've offered them would be cheaper at Kinko's. They've gone to bat for us when we've had issues with postal permits and delivery issues. They routinely think of slightly different ways of doing thing than the ones we initially envisioned that make our lives easier, our publications better, and our bills less expensive. Our contact there, Bruce, is so integral a part of how we get our work done that he may as well be another employee of the college, half the time. At my company, we aren't big enough to have an in-house print shop--and we're small enough to highly value knowing who we're working with so that person can be a colleague, rather than a salesman, to us. If you're concerned about environmental impact, Mid-American uses soy-based inks and can use Forest Stewartship Council-approved paper--and can get your publications FSC-certified. Print FSC and Soy Ink logos on your publications, and you can make a statement to to your Green customers. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I've even had small jobs completed before I got there, after a quick cross-town drive - that's fast! They use good paper, their equipment must be pretty dependable stuff that's well maintained, and someone must be monitoring quality. No errors. No crumpled up misfeeds. Consistent quality coverage with no weird banding. No registration problems. No inaccurate colors. No cracks on folds. No surprise price hikes or oddball "gotcha" fees. Their technicians never seem to have problems with artwork in a myriad of file formats (sometimes our clients send us Word docs, Power Point slides, really uncommon formats, or files from old versions of design software), or missing fonts. Ken's Quick Print offers good quality printing at fair prices for the neighborhood. They're a good shop, with good staff, and ought to be saved in the contacts list of every small business in the area.

However, we were promised that the decal would not cause any damage to our floor. When removed, it pulled off a lot of paint. See the picture below for a photo. We have called Cushing, but I was just forwarded to a voice mail. It has been 48 hours without a response. Additionally, I sent an email, and have not received a response. I've been quite disappointed with their service. I would not recommend using Cushing at any cost.
