Grafton Yarn Store

This is my new favorite place to hang out! This place will surprise you! It's the oldest yarn store…read morein Wisconsin and formerly a real yarn mill! The current owner of the yarn store, who is often on site, can tell you the history of the mill and store. She's a wonderful conversationalist and you'll just want to grab a hot cocoa and listen to how she's managed the store over the years. The store is filled with beautiful textiles that just make you want to lay down and make yarn snowmen. That's a thing! Right? I love walking through and looking at all the textures and colors. Every corner has something that captures my eye or attention. All the events provide coupons, gifts, and ideas to encourage purchasing at reasonable prices. There's a "secret" room in the neck with discounted yarn. Do NOT miss this special room. There are beautiful choices in that room that allow you to make full projects at reasonable prices The best part though is the coziness of the shop. There are little nooks and crannies in which to sit and create beautiful things. I like to bring my needles and yarn and just sit in the gathering area crocheting while people come and go. The constant movement, chatter, and energy of people around me while my service dog sleeps near my feet feels like a little retreat. It calms my spirit to get in this shop! The shop has events, classes, workshops, and is an amazing community of talented textile artisans eager to share their skills and knowledge. The owner is proud to share the space with community members. She and her staff make this a warm welcoming place to hang out. It's a getaway in the Village. An unassuming little spot that you'll have no reason to seek out but once you find it, you'll never want to leave! People make it wonderful! The yarn and activities make the shop feel like home! Drop in and fall in love with The Grafton Yarn Store. Save me and the dog a seat!

They even have a return policy if you bought too much yarn at the end of your project, you can return unused skeins. And a bonus, there is a great coffee shop next door. I can't wait to go back there again!

This location can be seen from I-43, but it's tricky to find after you exit. It's across the…read moreparking lot from Jose's Blue Sombrero, so if you find that place, you can get to Burghardt's. I stopped because I saw it on my way back from Cedarburg Monday night. As far as sporting goods stores go, there is a decent amount of inventory. The lighting isn't as bright as Sports Authority, so the place looks dingy as a result. The prices seem in line with other sporting goods stores, but the customer service is what elevated this from a 3 star review to a 4 star review. I was greeted when I entered and asked if I needed help finding anything. He walked me toward the right area and another team member took me the rest of the way. The weight lifting belt that I bought rang up $10 more than the price on the peg where it hung, which is common in retail since things get moved to the wrong place by customers all the time, but the same product from that same peg had the same price as the price on the peg. So the team member have me a 15% discount to get closer to the listed price, which I was cool with. I also bought a new Brewers t-shirt for about $5 less than I find at most other retailers. I will consider Burghardt's for future purchases if I can't find what I want closer to my house.

I've been a long time customer of OnTime Promo and Apparel (15+ years) and there's a reason for…read morethat. They have done decoration on hats, apparel, totes, water bottles, you name it. I've worked with them on orders for my company, my kid's school as well as many personal needs, and each time this company and their people deliver. One of my first interactions with OTP was when I was getting married. My husband worked with the OTP team to design a special shirt for our destination wedding. The day after the wedding, all of the husbands showed up to the pool wearing this custom t-shirt that read, "This guy loves his wife" with thumbs pointing at their chest. It was one my favorite moments of our trip and random people kept asking us where we got those shirts from wanting to buy them. Fast forward to present day.. I recently found out some pretty devastating news about my close friends who are married. There is a benefit coming up and when I talked with my trusty shirt team, explained the situation and asked if they could help, John L (one of the great owners) rose to the occasion. Within the day we had an approved shirt design, an online store in the works and a donation commitment of all profits to this beautiful family. OTP isn't just a turn and burn random t-shirt shop. The owners and employees have a longstanding, strong dedication to their customers and community. They continue to grow and so do the standards they set for themselves.

iffy service- since Jeni D left service seems to have declined. I have ordered thousands of…read moredollars (if not more) over the course of time from OnTime. Jeni always hit it out of the park with her professionalism and knowing the product well. she would always take my ideas and make them better to ensure the finished product I was paying for looked amazing. I just went to pick up a $500 order in hats, and a small detail was overlooked (not by jeni because she doesn't work there anymore- big mistake by not keeping her to help grow the customer base)....and the hats look like garbage. the hats were going to be Christmas presents.... now there is no time to fix the hats before Christmas. I'm pretty livid bc I felt rushed picking them up- I was a few mins after close but no one was answering the phones for over 40 mins as I tried calling. also emailed a few times before getting there to make sure I would have someone greet me to pick up the order. no answer and no response until Carl answered. he didn't go thru the order or the proof with me. had he looked at the proof and the hats, he would have seen they looked like garbage. not sure what I want to do next.... probably not order from them again.....
