I went to Midwest Endoscopy for an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy on the same day. I've had issues with my stomach for quite sometime, and as it worsened I started feeling consistently tired and weak. Also, my tongue began breaking out in Canker sores that has been a sign to my physicians that I'm likely fighting some type of infection, illness, inflammation. They are very aggressive in your prep, having you taking laxatives a week before the procedure, and being in clear liquids for a full day before the procedure. My procedure was at 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and I was to have no solids after Monday night. My prep kit didn't start until 8pm, so basically went to the bathroom all throughout the night, then finished the prep next morning (day of procedure). Also, the doctors office called my prep kit into two different pharmacies and gave me written instructions stating "do not follow the instructions on the prescription container, follow these instructions provided by the physician". I had to have a physician paged because the instructions made no sense. It's because they gave me a different prep kit than what they provided instructions for, so the physician walked me through the instructions on the bottle (like a child). I shared I understood the instructions if that's what I need to follow, but just needed to know the dosage. He interrupted and said, "I'll get to that", then proceeded to tell me how to fill with water to the line that reads "full to here". Meet with the nurse, meet with Anesthesiologist, we're minutes away from go time, and the doctor comes in to tell me the clinical director will not allow the procedures because of a Canker sore on my tongue. I've literally had sores at all times for a minimum of six months, been seen by multiple doctors, and getting the gut checked out was the next step in figuring it all out. I reached out to friends and colleagues in the medical field and anesthesiology, and this is a quite uncommon policy and decision. The doctor tried to explain and express his understanding, but the fact is, he doesn't understand. Time off of work for me and my spouse. Shuffled schedules, the prep, exhaustion, etc., and absolutely nothing in return. No answers, no feeling better, no next steps. Nothing but wasted time and money, to go through it again with another clinic without an absurd policy to cover their rear ends by being dramatically o early cautious. My anger was and is beyond words. Very kind staff, very disconnected administration. One other note, this is Edward Elmhurst so they are pulling everything from my chart. Three different appointments, most recently a week ago, where the Canker sores on my tongue are a primary area of concern. This could have easily been avoided. I wish I could give negative stars. A clinic that says, 'you show signs of being unwell so we won't provide medical treatment". read more

I have been here several times over the last 10 years or so for several procedures, and at this point I'm not sure I could go anywhere else. Every time I've been here I have been well informed and well cared for. The doctors, nurses, and other staff really go out of their way to explain things in a way that makes sense, and they personally follow up with you following the procedure. read more

We came again for my husband's colonoscopy and Dr. Jain was fabulous as always! His findings come out to be that he had to come back the next day for the process again. I guess he was not cleaned out enough?? This wasn't easy to do the first time but now another day!?!? Dr. Jain squeezed hubby in the next day. We had Dr. Berger the second time and he was a great guy! He was very compassionate with his caring ways. Very nice office they offer an array of coffee pods, have tons of magazines, and a large screen tv in the lobby for those waiting for their loved ones. Upon being finished they ask for you to pull up and they walk your spouse out to your car. Very easy peasy- nothing to worry about here. They make you feel very comfortable even though the procedure is not! read more

This facility gets zero stars but will not post if no star is marked. I scheduled my colonoscopy late 2021 for January 28 2022. Completed all the required paperwork and delivered to the front desk on their required time table. I started required prep almost ten days out and purchased the required two day final prep for $99.00. I was never told the prep would cost $99.00. Less than 5 days prior to my scheduled exam I received a call cancelling my appointment as the billing is done by the endoscopy center for both sides and my insurance has only the Gastro side in network. Since my procedure is on the gastro side it should not be an issue but they insist I reschedule at the hospital instead of just billing the insurance for the procedure that is coveered. No regard for the patient here. This is not good business and I would not reccomend them to anyone. I now have to start over maybe the $99.00 prep is to be used maybe not as each Dr. decides I am stuck with it either way. No one is accountable at the center for not checking insurance first and I have to start over. This is a waste of my time and unacceptable and noone has called to reschedule the appointment as was promised when they cancelled. Too bad the facility is money driven and patient care is secondary as evidenced by this train wreck of events. Billing and pre-cert people need to be retrained to do their jobs with integrity or be terminated. Run and find a competant center this one is a bust!! read more

This Endoscopy center takes the blue First Place ribbon out of my hand with honors for superb clarity in prep provided especially by Liana (bubbly and a surprising light hearted serve of humor. Complimented by Sarah who stated if I didn't Straighten up my act she promised to make sure my procedure was completed without anesthesia. Fortunately despite Dr. Mettu considering her fun threat, the expert professionalism of the team prevailed, and I left with a hearty memory and the bonus: another of many perfectly served - leaving feeling enriched ! read more

Spot on about any questions or concerns...made my worry & anxiety disappear. Lucky for me, the results were great. Billing/pre-cert people are IDIOTS! They lied to me about my co-pay, told me that my insurance company was MAKING them code a procedure a certain way. When I called my insurance company, insurance company told me that this office asked for two codes, one that's used for a covered procedure (which mine was) and the other that's used for the larger co-pay procedure. Insurance company assured me that my procedure was 100% covered. Meanwhile M.E. told me that in order to receive a ROUTINE colonoscopy I had to show up with a check for $1300. For a covered procedure. I waited four months for this appointment but cancelled it. Don't take their word for anything--check with your insurance company. Chances are they're trying to rip you off. read more

My endoscopy at this center, I was taken in a room with a nurse who was inexperienced and had injured me while inserting intravenous (I.V.) using needle. She tried to insert twice but failed both the times,the pictures show that she mercilessly went through my vein and pushed the needle out, making two prominent marks and needless to say did hurt me very badly. I was calm when I went inside but I became very nervous after that. Hopefully endoscopy was done properly after anesthesia. read more

I highly recommend this facility and especially recommend Dr. Gundlapalli. The staff are wonderful, caring and professional. The facility is clean and run very smoothly. Midwest Endoscopy Center is a nice clean facility in Naperville. The staff and doctors are friendly, but were not as willing to discuss the necessity of an endoscopy for me as I would have liked. They seemed a little quick to jump to the gun to get an endoscopy scheduled and completed, but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt as it may or may not have been medically necessary in my case. Overall, I would say it is a good facility though. read more

The staff is professional and kind. The business aspect (as in being paid) is another story. They call your insurance (fine); if there's the slightest chance their might be a co-payment or deductible they insist on payment up front. And when (in our case) the insurance determined their was on deductible involved, they are slow in refunding the $ paid? Helping their cash flow at the expense of mine? 5 Stars = As good as it gets because lets face it.....who honestly can say " I'm looking so forward to my upcoming colonoscopy". I'll tell you what I can say.... I won't dread the next one. Midwest Endoscopy Center under the care (in my case) of Dr. Berger treated me professionally and painlessly. Key for giving a full 5stars is due to the fact I was not kept waiting. The staff was friendly from the moment I walked in the door till the moment I was released from their care into my friend's. I think not having to wait was key as I was apprehensive. No uncomfortable after affects and all in all I would highly recommend them. Added plus- having just brought a friend to Delnor (for hers) where she was kept waiting for over an hour and a half....even the prep drink and instructions were better. Unless you've gone through this procedure YOU have no idea how awful the drink can be to consume. Under Bergers care....my drink flavor packet was NOT put directly into the solution to consume but rather I could add a bit of lemon Crystal light to make it somewhat easier to swallow and there was a small window to "rest" from having to have the solution drank by. All in All my experience was not the nightmare I was led to believe it would be. I credit Midwest and Dr. Berger. read more

I completed my second colonoscopy today (the prior was a couple of years ago). They are never "fun" but the Midwest Endoscopy Center certainly makes the best of it. The facilities are modern, clean; the staffing is great, and the doctors are attentive and spend the time to explain the procedure and cover the results. You're "in and out" in a couple of hours. read more

My doctor highly recommended Dr. Kastin at Midwest Endoscopy when it was time for my colonoscopy. I was sent a questionnaire to fill out and bring in before the procedure. The office called later that week. The doctor wanted permission to do an endoscopy because of my heartburn complaint. (Wow! Someone actually READ all that information! Sooo glad because there was a lot of inflammation. He put me on some meds and wanted to see me for a followup exam in 3 months.) The office was clean and comfortable. The staff--from the receptionist to the nurses and anesthesiologist-- was was friendly and put me at ease. They were fast and efficient, too. Dr. Kastin is affable and thorough. I highly recommend this facility. My designated driver even commented that she want to have her next colonoscopy there! read more

My mom had an EGD done at the Midwest Endoscopy Center and the place looked great. There was a big screen TV, magazines, and a coffee machine in the waiting room, which made the wait pass by quickly. They let me back in the waiting room area and called me back to her room after she had come out of the procedure room. The staff was accommodating and polite, and the anesthesiologist and doctor spoke with us before and after having the procedure about any concerns. read more
