I called Piedmont Dental in Duluth to establish care for myself, my husband, and my daughter, and…read morethe experience was very disappointing. From the start of the call, the woman I spoke with had a rude and dismissive tone. When I asked if they were accepting new patients, she immediately focused on insurance and stated that they don't accept many plans and that many are out of network. When I shared our insurance information, she told me I needed to check with my insurance company. I explained that my husband had already confirmed they are in-network, but her tone became even more rude after that. She asked what we were looking for, and I explained that I'm currently having tooth pain and that we were also looking to establish routine care for my husband and daughter starting with cleanings. Throughout the conversation, she acted irritated and uninterested, as if she didn't want to be on the phone. She eventually stated that they are not scheduling new patients until August or September. Considering it is currently January, being told that cleanings and establishing care would be 7 months out was surprising. While availability is one thing, the lack of professionalism and poor communication made the experience even more frustrating. Overall, the interaction made it feel like new patients are not welcome. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not a good one.

I've had experience with some dentists rushing or scolding me -but not him, and he answered all of my questions without hesitation. He discovered my upper tooth pain was the result of a sinus infection and was honest about my teeth and the condition they were in- giving me good advice to heal the pain and maintain my teeth. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a positive and caring experience. Thanks for getting me in and keeping me pain free!

I had been to this office for the first time previously this year and came in to a scheduled…read moreappointment again 8-9 months later, but did not have my dental insurance card with me. Though it was on file, they somehow could not figure out verification so I ended up not going in for the appointment. So, this was a little irritating especially since everything was fine last time. They evidently are sticklers for the insurance card in hand and it would have been nice to been informed of that. I have forgotten medical insurance cards in the past or had outdated cards but in all cases I have received the service with the medical office figuring out the current policy numbers, etc. The service I received the first appointment was fine and nothing negative to say about it. Just didn't appreciate the inflexibility at the desk. Didn't feel like they cared that they were turning me away, so to that I say 'see ya'.

I rarely feel compelled to write a review, especially about dental service, but I just had to rave…read moreabout Dr. Lindquist. I'd never had a root canal before and all I've ever heard is how scary and painful they are. I was really dreading this appointment. My dentist (Dr. Patterson, just upstairs) referred me to Dr. Lindquist for this procedure and I'm so glad she did! Dr. Lindquist and her staff are really kind and helpful throughout the whole process. The root canal only took about an hour and, honestly, I didn't feel a thing! I kept waiting for it to hurt but it never did. The room was pleasant, the staff were chipper, and it was a great experience! I kept waiting all day, then all week for the pain to kick in and it never really did. The day of the root canal I took ibuprofen twice (once right after the procedure and once later in the day when I was at work). That's it. The recovery was easy and the pain was minimal. If you need a root canal, definitely consider this practice. I hope I never need one again (damn you sugar!!!) but if I do, it'll be here!
