This place has 2 advertised heated pools (the outdoor one was not heated), a sauna, a steam room, whirlpool and workout room. The beach is easily accessed with a walk down a long boardwalk. These are lovely condos compared to everything else. There's never anyone in the hall. The person that said it was crowded. It's so not crowded. Several people actually live here. There's always parking. There is an elevator for handicap and elevator to take you to your room if you don't wanna climb stairs, the boardwalk is very safe and nice. I love the big decks. That's why I always stay here. The balconies are fantastic for drinking coffee playing cards on the table and chairs. There's always a sitting area on a table and chair area And in the corner there's a sitting area around the corner for the price. They are fantastic. The one we just stayed in 70 one had new furniture a person with us needed a recliner. Everything reclined and I love it was brand new. The kitchen is laid out so well I love the Jacuzzi tub that cleans itself after every bath and they're like that in every room Every condo you won't find a better place to say across the street is the pizza place the wonderful wine bar with French wine across the street down the road is the islander and I mean barely down the road. At 859 AM there were no more grits, eggs, and sausage and she said that she wasn't making any more because breakfast was too close to being over. Mind you that breakfast ends at 1000. 12 people came after I sat down and they had even less to eat. I am not asking that Hampton Inn Jackson waste money with having to throw away food, but at least serve until 15-30 minutes prior to the posted closing time. Breakfast was well presented, as full as I have ever seen at a Hampton Inn. The dining area was tidy, and everything I had was the right temperature. There were plenty of other guests, but the Breakfast attendant was doing a wonderful job. Portia, the front desk manager, was friendly, professional, and seemed to truly enjoy speaking with me and others in line. A smile goes a long way. When I bragged on the lovely Christmas decor, Portia let me know that she had decorated the hotel on her own. What a treasure! I had requested that the room not be cleaned. So, as I'm staying 3 nights, I needed some replenished supplies. I inquired at the front counter (about 10 minutes ago). And apparently there are no more facial tissues boxes available because "We don't do preps until Monday." What is that all about? Is it that there really are no more facial tissues available in this building, or is it just laziness? I guess I'll need to drive to Walmart and buy some facial tissues. Additional issues below (see pictures for references to these issues) 1. Room 417 is in general disrepair and lack of proper maintenance. 2. The drawer that won't stay closed is a safety risk for guests. 3. I fixed the shower door that was off the track, but the other door has difficulty moving. 4. Why are all of the metal lamps rusting or is that dirt/grime, I don't know because I'm afraid to touch any of them. 5. The room is not clean. 6. Other than the small trash can in the bathroom there is no other trash can in the room. As there is no restaurant in this hotel, having to fetch food and bring it back creates a lot of trash. 7. The air conditioner is VERY loud. You have to turn the TV up really high to be able to hear the TV sound over the VERY loud air conditioner. I stay at this location about once a year when I'm in town to visit my parents. I don't know what Marriott's standards are, except for what I see when I'm in this room. Unfortunately, I cannot leave since my stay was not refundable.

However, my check-in at Moss Point was totally unprofessional. I had reserved online, so presented my ID and credit card to the receptionist. She thoroughly scrutinized them, then asked me to verbally clarify a couple of points about my address. Then asked for my phone number! There was a gentleman hanging out at the desk that had been chatting with her when I arrived who stood by and listened to the whole exchange. It was upsetting. I am a solo female traveller. I hope they do some training with this young woman.
