The hotel stay was great and I have stayed here every time I came back home for an event. However, today 10/7/23, the service at breakfast was horrible. I found hair in my food and the food attendant refused to keep the food items stocked. At 859 AM there were no more grits, eggs, and sausage and she said that she wasn't making any more because breakfast was too close to being over. Mind you that breakfast ends at 1000. 12 people came after I sat down and they had even less to eat. I am not asking that Hampton Inn Jackson waste money with having to throw away food, but at least serve until 15-30 minutes prior to the posted closing time. What a great stay! My husband and I only stayed one night, but highly recommend the Hampton Inn of Jackson, Alabama. The outside, common areas, and room were clean as a whistle. Love the way the room was staged. The Christmas decorations throughout the hotel were beautiful and tasteful. As we drive away, I wish we had taken photos to share. Breakfast was well presented, as full as I have ever seen at a Hampton Inn. The dining area was tidy, and everything I had was the right temperature. There were plenty of other guests, but the Breakfast attendant was doing a wonderful job. Portia, the front desk manager, was friendly, professional, and seemed to truly enjoy speaking with me and others in line. A smile goes a long way. When I bragged on the lovely Christmas decor, Portia let me know that she had decorated the hotel on her own. What a treasure! Between her professional manner and warm attitude and doing such a great job of decorating, I really wanted to say "woman, what are you doing here?!" Great stay. My family has been coming here for years! We're from a small town near by, but always chose to stay here. Why? Because from the minute you check in with the front desk staff everyone is so friendly and kind. The Inn is always clean, we enjoy an assortment of warm and tasty breakfast options... it's honestly like home I always feel safe here! I'm never concerned about room or vehicle theft... Ms. Porsha at the desk has been here for years and I'm always so happy to see her, she's truly like family (I love her!). She always remembers me too! I'd also like to shout out the dining room & housekeeping staff ...everyone is Awesome!! UPDATE 3/25/24: We were there again this past weekend to celebrate my aunt's 93rd birthday Unfortunately...we had a serious medical emergency with one of my family members. I travel for work and when I come down to Jackson I love staying at the Hampton Inn. The rooms are always clean and very nice. Their breakfast is very good as well. They have a nice variety and each time I come down I am able to enjoy a different breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

Clean hotel with spacious king rooms. The hallways felt a bit warm but the AC in the room worked amazingly. Customer service from Jordan at the front desk was great. I used the laundry facility on the second floor, and the washer and dryer both worked well. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Jackson. Thanks for a great visit! read more

Manager was left message and never returned call. Charged for cancellation, that was due to medical issue. Very disappointed.

The hotel was very quiet. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast wasn't the best but it was free.

Rooms are nice and customer service is good. The room could have been cleaned a little better before I arrived unfortunately.

I have stayed here twice. It is a new property. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are great. The breakfast is very good also. Rates change for hotels frequently, but this was well worth the expense last time I was there. read more
