They lied on the service report and CARFAX. The battery was dead and no longer jumpable, reading 8.4 only days after being "replaced." This is still within my warranty period, yet they are refusing to service the car unless I remove this review and sign a contract stating I won't post about my experience online -- which is illegal. I hired an independent mechanic who confirmed the battery is a junkyard battery. The service date was scratched out, a new date cauterized in, and then painted over to hide it. It was also the incorrect CCA for my vehicle. I own a Toyota, yet the battery clearly states it is only for Ford vehicles. Management has been dodging my calls for three days. They were blowing up my phone to get me to remove this review, but now that my car isn't working, they are ghosting me. I am reporting this dealership to the BBB, FTC, DMV, Attorney General, etc. STAY FAR AWAY -- they demand 5-star reviews before you leave the dealership. The business license they have posted is expired (photo attached). I am extremely disappointed with my experience and strongly warn others to stay away. I purchased a 2024 Toyota Corolla on December 27. Within hours, I discovered serious issues: the gas cap wouldn't open, the key fob didn't work, the windows wouldn't roll down, the mirrors wouldn't move, and the car eventually wouldn't start. I had to jump it three times. Firestone found a 4" screw in one tire and extremely bald tires that looked close to tearing (photos coming). I sent the inspection report to the dealership and explained everything verbally. The dealership took the car for service but refused to provide a loaner, forcing me to Uber home with my 2-year-old in winter weather ($50). I was told the car would be ready the next business day, but no one answered the phones and voicemail was not set up. I Ubered back that evening ($75 due to traffic) because I needed my car for work and was told it would be ready. Ten minutes before arrival -- at closing time -- they called to say it still wasn't ready and told me to "ask my Uber to turn around." Only after I arrived angry did they offer a loaner. The next day, before the car was even returned, I was pressured to call the financing bank and falsely state that I had the car and that it was "working great." I said I was not comfortable lying. Later, when picking up the car, they again demanded the call before releasing it. After my portion, Dan told me I could not take my own car home until my husband completed his portion -- despite the car already being purchased. This escalated into a heated confrontation with Dan outside in a 12° snowy storm. I was wearing only a dress, expecting to grab my keys and leave. I explained I had a toddler waiting at home to be put to bed. I was repeatedly threatened with "undoing the sale," even though $5,000 had already been taken from my account. When I asked for proof of repairs, I was told service had gone home and none of the three employees arguing with me could explain what was fixed. A manager eventually allowed me to take the car home and promised the service report the next morning. On the drive home, I noticed a tire PSI of 47. Firestone confirmed the tire with the screw and tear had not been repaired at all. I am now being forced to return for the fourth time for issues that never should have existed on a vehicle sold as ready to drive. This dealership sold me an unsafe vehicle, failed to properly service it, pressured me to lie to a bank, falsified records, and treated me with complete disrespect. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. From the time I signed the papers and got ready to drive away there were problems. I test drove the car, but then when I bought it and was taking it off the lot it didn't start. They jumped it and I got home fine, started up again the next day. But then I was out driving for work, which is what I need the car most for, it died causing me to miss an appointment but they did come and replace the battery and I've been good since. A week into owning it, I needed an oil change. Thats fine, but they should have sent a new customer out with new oil. A headlight went out after a week, I went to replace the bulb and it came back on. Faulty wiring, I'm sure this was discovered before selling me the car but not disclosed because it was just rigged to stay working for a little bit. I got a warranty with them after telling them no several times I was pressured into it, but never received paperwork on how it works or what to do but I was told any issues I can bring it back to them and they will fix it for free, or it will be $500 deductible somewhere else. I called them to schedule a time to get the headlight fixed and was transferred to the finance department everyday for 2 weeks, no one picked up no one returned my call, I left voicemails and messages with whoever was answering the call no one called. I finally got a hold of someone, but they were in the service department, they told me I could make an appointment for a little while out or come first thing Saturday morning and they would work on all of my issues, there were other minor ones too. I got there when they opened on Saturday morning and the mechanic told me they only do oil changes on saturday but either way the headlight repair would not be included in my warranty, it was just for engine issues, but this was never explained to me nor did I receive ANY paperwork on it. I was livid, I asked if I could talk to someone who can explain the warranty with, but no one in the finance department was there that early, I could wait until around 10-11 when they came in but I wasn't about to wait 3-4 hours for someone to maybe come in. I told him no one has been calling me back and asked him to please leave a note with everyone in the office to have someone call me. I have not heard anything from them. I have had nothing but issues with this car, but they already sold and made their commissions so they don't care. I would cancel the warranty and ask for my money back, but I'm sure since they don't check the cars before they sell them the engine will have an issue once I cancel, at least with the warranty I can take it somewhere else for the deductible. STAY AWAY!!!! My husband found a 2025 Double Nickle Durango with 0 miles on the website listed for $33,485. He sent a message and a Chatbot responded and asked if he would like to make an appointment with Carlos to come in and look at the car. My personal vehicle is nearing the end of it's lease and we are looking to replace it. My husband specified to the Chatbot that he was only interested in this specific vehicle and wanted to make sure that it is available and at the correct price before we made the hour drive to the dealership. He was concerned that this was a made up price for a vehicle that would turn out to be unavailable, but they would sell us a similar car for a higher price. He was assured several times that it was listed at the $33,485 and that it was currently "in stock," they then confirmed the appointment several times. So, this morning, my son's 18th birthday, we confirmed one last time and then made the hour drive. When we walked in and told them we were there to meet with Carlos, they made us wait and then had some other kid come out because "Carlos" is unavailable. He sits us down and starts talking down my husband's information saying it's so they can confirm the leasing agreement for my car and asking for my keys to my Jeep. I was immediately uncomfortable. We hadn't even seen the Durango yet and they are already wanting my keys and personal information? He says, "ok, let me go see about that Durango." After 15 mins, he comes back with a list and says that that vehicle sold this morning to border patrol, but they have other Durangos. Excuse me? My husband shows him the numerous confirmations through their Chatbot and said this is exactly what he expected to happen. I told him bring me my keys right now, I'm extremely uncomfortable with this whole situation. Then the kid's manager comes over to try to smooth things out, along with my keys which he kept near him, and says "oh, no, it's not sold, but it's not here. The owner of the dealership's family is driving it as a demo. But we can have it here on Monday." The car that is supposed to be on the lot with no miles. I said I was ready to go because I don't like being lied to, we are there missing time with my son on his birthday, and the whole situation was shady. My husband gave him one chance to make it right. They say ok, and leave us sitting. While we are waiting, my husband got a notification that his credit had been run. Nobody said anything about running his credit because they hadn't even told us what Durangos they have and the prices. They come back after 20 mins and say we have a 2026 Durango in a different color for $14,000 more. After that, I said I'm done. This place is as shady as it gets. They lure you in for vehicles that probably don't even exist, and if they do, they are NOT what they list them as. They can't even keep their stories straight when lying to you. Drove an hour up here to buy a new Durango after confirming multiple times the price and availability with the concern that it wouldn't be available but they would try to sell me a more expensive comparable vehicle which is exactly what happened. The comparable vehicle they offered us was $14,000 more than the vehicle we came to buy . They ran my credit before they told me the vehicle was not available but they said it was so they can pull the final payoff on my trade in . I bought a car here with less than 10k miles on it and it was only 2 years old. 2 months and about 400 miles later it broke down. Signs point to the issue being when I bought the car but the dealer has not responded to my attempts to contact over the past week to resolve. At this point I am looking to unwind the sale, but during that process I am warning others do not buy a car here. Think twice before doing any service with this dealership. I was told by their service department 3 times that thier labor rate is $189 an hour and after the job was completed and I got my invoice I was charged $222.55 an hour. Their excuse was that the labor rate is determined by AI and was is what Chrysler has them do. I don't believe . I have lost my trust in Midway Dodge and will never use them for service or will I purchase a car there. I tried reaching out to them on Facebook only to be ignored. I called to speak to the owner and was sent to a mailbox that was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I have used them in the past for repairs and had no issues but this time I was overcharged $189 and they will not do anything to correct it. So for less than $200 you have lost a customer and I will spread the word. I also noticed that you have a F rating with the BBB because you have not responded to 16 complaints against your dealership. Not to mention I had to go back the next day because I found a bolt that your $222.55 an hour mechanic didn't even hand tighten and they didn't even clean up the oil around the area that was worked on. As a disabled veteran I find Midway Dodge's behavior reprehensible, especially since they defrauded us days before Veteran's Day. My son and I went into Midway Dodge and spoke with a salesman named Byron on Nov. 5th. We had picked out a 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage with an advertised price $9795 as you can see in the attached photo. This was the price agreed upon with Byron the Salesman as well. After being made to wait several hours to get in to see the "finance guy" who was a burly, red-headed man who seemed personable and made small chat about his life in Joliet while he filled in the contract on the computer screen with the number we had agreed upon $9795 filled in. he did this with the screen showing to us so we could see him do it. However, when it came time to print the contract he claimed the printer was not working and we have to come back tomorrow unless we were willing to sign the documents via Docusign. Now having been at the dealership for hours already we did not want to come back so we agreed to have him send them via Docusign and sign them over the phone. At this point the finance guy turned the computer screen and started typing again while we could no longer see the screen. It was at this time that the numbers in the contract had to be changed. The sales price jumped from the advertised and agreed upon amount of $9795 to $10782.52 and a fee of $2000 was added for a key. There was no discussion of the changes and being sent the document to sign over Docusign to a phone made it so we did not notice the changes. The document was so small on the phone all you could see were the various spots marked by docusign to sign at and the rest of the contract was covered over by the bubbles created to sign. The worst part is we do not even have real keys. We have a valet key that will start the ignition but does not have a clicker to open doors and there is only the 1 key but they snuck in a $2000 charge for keys we will never get from them. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!!! About 10 days ago we purchased a used dump truck at Midway Dodge. Supposedly it was in good condition, the truck was in the dealer until we had auto insurance. The day after it was picked up the check engine sign popped. We returned the truck to the dealer, and told us they would check it out and "fix it". They once again deleted the codes. Therefore, my other brother went in with a code reader to show them the codes that were showing up and told us that they couldn't do anything because the sales manager wasn't there. We went the following day and still didn't want to help us! We have been trying to come to an agreement, we left the truck for them to fix the issue, and that same day they parked it outside our home without our consent. We are saddened because we trusted this dealer. Within the 3 days or 500 miles to bring the car back, we've tried to return the dump truck/come to an agreement and no one seems to want to help, we know that within that time frame, they have to make it right but no one has helped us at any manner. I bought a 2015 Chevy sonic rs from here march 2023. With in the first 2 weeks it had a terrible oil leak on the timing cover which ended with loud ticking noises in the engine. No check engine light or stop engine light on dash. Took back to dealer had to wait 2 weeks for a loaner and car was not ready for an additional 3 weeks. Took to service department with promises of following up and they would keep me updated. That did not happen the service department failed to communicate with me I had to call time and time again until I got fed up and finally got in contact with the GM. The GM was great once he found out what I was experiencing he took charge and kept me up to date on the repairs. I was told the can seals and side cover gaskets failed. They fixed that but the engine had a loud tick noise from the top end of the engine. 2 more weeks go by and I am told they are replacing engine with a good used engine. Another month goes by and I get told to come get it. I get the car and the next day I see oil spots on the floor I tell them about it and they say bring it I. But no spares available. Before I take it I wondered why the check engine light does not come but I have active codes when scanner is hooked up. I took the dash panel apart thinking it was a bulb I found black tape in the light holes blocking the check engine light and stop engine lights. I do not think the dealer did it but I believe who ever they got the car from did it. I brought this to their attention. The car conveniently ran out of warranty at this point of the 6 months it was in warranty it spent 85% of the time at the dealer. I was then told the check engine light was emissions related and no longer covered, I was so upset because I was sold a car with many faults and even though the GM tried to do right by me at the end i was SOL. Since then I found the brakes were 90% worn out replaced out of pocket. Oil leaks from the engine installed I have been slowly fixing currently replaced valve cover gasket, coolant manifold leaking I replaced. Replaced broken pvc hose from intake to turbo. I still have leaks from oil pan gasket, oil cooler and a coolant leak on one of my hoses. The ac is not blowing cold anymore as of last summer so that's another thing to look at. I had bad credit and needed a car at the time and this car fit the bill at the time and they even tried to get me into something else similar but I actually took my time inspecting those and they all had major defects. That is why I say buyer beware take your time test drive the car on high way for at least 10 mnts and on the street for 20 mnts. My experience with this dealer was bad with the only exception being the GM, and yes I have all text messages and pictures of events and invoices. If you have half descent credit go somewhere else save yourself a headache. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Midway Dodge has been the singular worst purchasing experience of my entire life. I purchased a used car for my daughter from them. My first hint at a problem was when they tried to sneak an inordinate amount of charges in on the back end of the deal. Literally more than the tax title and plates were. When I questioned them about what the charges were they were vague and then upon pressure, they said "for detailing the car and stuff" I pointed out that the car had most definitely not been detailed, they removed some of the charges but refused to remove all. The very next morning the check engine light came on while my daughter was on the way to school. I called and said I wanted to return the vehicle. They assured me they would fix the issue and leave it with their service department. They have had my vehicle for *over three months* now. They cannot fix it and now also want me to pay $600. I have been blatantly lied to by their service department on multiple occasions and the sales department lacks any integrity. All their voicemails are inactive or full, they will not communicate via email as I can only assume they are reticent to put anything in writing. This dealers marketing is totally unethical. I starting receiving texts from this dealer. I responded I was not the name on the text and requested I be removed from marketing lists. I was told that would happen. The rate of texts increased, some with sarcasim. I called the dealer, they told me they would remove the number and name used on the texts. Again, text rate increased. I have blocked texts several times. This is a totally untrustworthy company ... be aware of your dealings. read more

My review will be based more so on the service department rather than sales so here goes. When I had my Pontiac grand am last year, I was able to get oil changes here and the place is really professional. The turn around time was Super excellent and a phone call makes the best sense. All the sales people were also professional although I didn't buy a car. Although I had the pleasure of serviciing my car here, and for that I would hightly recommend anyone who thinks they need the oil change in a quick fashion. read more

BEWARE!!! My vehicle, a 2019 Dodge Charger, received a refurbished engine earlier this year. We had to return the vehicle to Naperville Dodge service department about five different times, over a two month period, due to the vehicle continuing to malfunction after they stated they completed the repairs. During this time, I was told that the service tech overseeing my repairs was terminated and the job was taken over by the manager. About 4 months later, my car starts overheating and the dashboard showed a warning light. Because of the problems we had at the Naperville location, I decided to take my vehicle to Dodge in Chicago, off Pulaski. After paying $200 for a diagnostic and repairs, we were told the overheating was due to my vehicle needing a radiator cap and coolant. Just a day and a half later, my vehicle starts overheating again and the dashboard light is back on showing overheating again. After diagnosis, the tech at the Chicago location first stated he added the wrong coolant. Then we were given a list of other problems that would cost $2500 to repair the problems. Finally, we were told that the tech finally went ahead and dismantled the entire engine and found that the engine is basically "dead". The manager then tells me that I need another engine. He stated the engine was totally warped, and had been abused, and that this only happens when the vehicle is being driven while overheating. Basically, telling me this problem with the vehicle is my fault, and that they will not honor the 24 month, unlimited mileage warranty that came with the replacement engine earlier this year. I argued that the initial work done by Naperville was not performed properly leading to the demise of this second engine. Of course, Chgo Dodge, does not want to honor the warranty which amounts to about $10,000 worth of labor and parts. LAWSUIT?! read more

These people are liars and scam artist. I purchased a vehicle from them about a month ago. That same day the check engine light was on and my head lamp was dull. They assured me they would fix both. When I came in the said they wasn't doing the lamp because it cost $1000. So I was upset asking why would they say they would and the not. Then the finance guy called and said he worked a new deal. The sales rep being more paper work to my job to sign. Then the next week the sales manager called being very rude saying I have to return the vehicle because the finance company can't verify my income. By this time I work somewhere else it's been a month. I call the finance constant, they said as long as I have check stubs, I can send the new ones in to verify my income. They also stayed once the got the paper work for my income, that midway dodge need to send it back. The called and told them this but the sales manager keko was very mean and rude. So then my sales rep tell me I need to come in to sign new paper work. And they wasn't trying to take my car. I get there they said they was taking the car. But the guy wasn't there to sign the chase k to give me my deposit. Before I drive off the lot I have to give 2k, so I want my 2k when I give the car back. Moral of the story. I went on 5/26 looking into get a Dodge Charger.And was told I'll need additional money down(which is fine).So the Gentleman EDDIE who was assisting me said he got me approved Read that again HE GOT ME APPROVED for a 2020 MalibuLT. I was comfortable with that and the Car note. So we closed the deal. Fast forward to 06/22-26 I receive calls from the Following: Sergio Kiko Rafael Eddie stating that the Finance company that they got me approved with wasn't willing to work with me anymore, but not to worry just come back to the car dealership and sign new paperwork for a new finance company that they got me approved for. So I do just that, 06/26 when I get to the car dealership the first thing I was greeted and asked by the gentleman Sergio was the car with me. I instantly got a Bad vibe because why are you looking for the car? And not asking how has the car been treating me or even driving. So I fib and say "No" he say "ok" and Hands me off to the manager I'm told name Kiko(could be spelling it wrong)who sits me down in his office.Fumbling on his computer for a few. Fast forward 30mins go by and I'm kinda frustrated but don't show it I ask the gentleman Rafael do he know how long until he sees me. And he HAD NO IDEA he was waiting for me. And tell me "to have a seat so he can go find out" 15mins go by I go BACK to the front desk after not being able to find Rafael now. And ask/tell Sergio "Where is the Gentleman Rafael and that he didn't know what I'm talking about and didn't know he was waiting on me" Sergio says"Let me go find out and talk to him"Sergio disappears for 5-10mins. I go BACK To the desk this time I'm kinda agitated BUT still wasn't showing it. Kiko was walking back in I said"Mmm do you know how much longer, I been here since 10am it's now 4:30ish" He says"we can't give you a refund" I replied"Why" he said"Because it's body damages to the vehicle"so I said"That's false ANYTHING that's on that car was there when I got it, and that I have 26pics 4 proof But take me and show me the damages he said"Ok, I'll look at them and if what you telling me is correct, we'll get you taking care of" He proceeded to walk to his office and I started to follow. He turns around and say"Give me a second, I have a conference call sit in the waiting area".I do just that!10-15mins go by.Guess what? WALK BACK TO THE DESK! And talk to Sergio about what was going on and if he know how much longer until Kiko was done. DO YALL KNOW KIKO CLOCKED OUT! LEFT WORK. As if I wasn't waiting And Told them he "cutting his phone off in 20mins and wasn't coming back up to the dealership" so I asked about the damages. They show me THEE TINY dent on TOP of the trunk. This is a review for their service department. I kept getting recall notices in the mail from Jeep so I decided to finally take care of it. This was the closest dealership on the Jeep website so I didn't bother reading any reviews. I called ahead and the person answering the phone was really nice. I told her Saturday worked best for me so she said to be there at 8am. When I arrived at 8 there was a line in the street which I assumed was COVID-related. They started bringing cars into the garage about 8:15 and I got in about 8:30. They were very polite, took my info, and quoted me about 2hrs and said they'd call me. About an hour later, they called and said my car was ready. The pick-up was really quick and easy and overall my experience was very pleasant. read more

Yeah I'm making a review for Midway Dodge and some minus zero that's right I will not get him a five-star won't even get him a one-star they are minus zero this is ridiculous because of the fact that they hit stuff from me and not told me about the contracts they love hidden things and I'm telling you they just just totally live all the way through this whole contract now stuck with a car that they act like they can't fix under warranty and trying to tell me I got to pay for something that need to be fixed that should be under warranty like I said be careful when you go there and if you go there don't be expecting to get a good car just get a bad one a big lemon. Most of the cars on the website don't match the prices when you get out there and then most of the mileage that's on the website also doesn't match the vehicles out there when you're going to look at the vehicle that you want they're try to up the price once you come and try to buy the vehicle that you want so be aware of that also they only cater to Hispanics no other race unless you're white and you have a credit score of over $750 Chinese Puerto Ricans Indians Italians any other race that's not Mexican they will not treat you well unless you have a stack of money ready to buy a car on the spot then they'll treat you like a king. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! Horrible service and even worse sales people. sold me a car with a broken windshield didn't notice until a week and a half into getting the car went back to the dealership and they told me car sold as is and they couldn't do nothing for me knowing damn well they had sold me the car like that.. and to add on top of it, the car had no windshield wiper fluids, the remote to lock/unlock car was on "low battery" and the car pulled to the right when on the highway. clearly shows the lack of interest they invest in their cars they just want to make a big commission off you. 0 Stars if I could. Not a pleasant experience. This location rubbed me the wrong way , when I walked in they first tried to give me an inexperienced salesman. I look young myself, but please don't insult my intelligence. I only came there to get a bill a sale to purchase the car, I have my OWN finance company, my credit union. I guess they did not like they could not take advantage of me, or make any money off of me. The salesman walk away to go do "paperwork " and never returned. Only later to email information about another car I had no interest in. Please don't go to this location, only want to make money off of you on bogus cars!!! read more
