After spending several years in club volleyball across multiple clubs in the San Gabriel Valley,,…read moreour family can honestly say that Stormbreaker has been the best overall club experience we've had. What makes Stormbreaker different is that it was specifically created to solve frustrations that parents and players commonly experience in club volleyball. One of the biggest issues in club volleyball is roster size. Many clubs carry 12-14 players, meaning some girls spend large portions of tournaments on the bench, players worry about being substituted out after mistakes, and teammates feel like competitors fighting for the same playing time. Stormbreaker intentionally keeps rosters smaller, typically around 9-10 players. The girls are not only on the court more often, but they have a defined role and purpose. They are part of every match and rotation rather than wondering if they will see the floor. That consistency allows players to develop confidence through real game experience instead of constantly worrying about being replaced. Another major difference is training volume. Most clubs provide two practices per week. Stormbreaker provides three, plus additional opportunities for clinics, scrimmages, and position-specific development. More touches, more repetitions, and more feedback lead to more growth. Practices are also structured differently. Stormbreaker often has multiple teams training simultaneously with four or more coaches actively involved. Athletes are divided into position groups. Setters with setting coaches, hitters with hitting coaches, liberos on defense and serve receive, middles on middle-specific skills. The specialized instruction and repetition the girls receive is dramatically higher than what we experienced elsewhere. Stormbreaker also has something most clubs don't offer: a dedicated strength and athletic development area called The Vault. The girls participate in structured conditioning sessions focused on athleticism, explosiveness, core strength, injury prevention, and volleyball-specific performance. We've personally watched players become stronger, jump higher, and gain confidence over a single season. We also appreciated that development was built into the club experience rather than requiring constant outside lessons. Between three practices, specialized coaching, strength training, clinics, and additional opportunities for extra reps, our daughter received far more development within the program itself than we experienced elsewhere. Stormbreaker is also not built around a single coach. Jonathan, the club director, is deeply involved and genuinely cares about players and families. He has invested tremendous time studying collegiate, Olympic, and high-level volleyball development systems so coaches work from a shared philosophy. Unlike many clubs where your experience depends almost entirely on one coach, Stormbreaker has worked to build a consistent developmental system. The goal is that players continue progressing regardless of which coach they have because the training philosophy, skill development priorities, and expectations are shared across the club. What impressed me most, however, is the culture. The emphasis is not only on volleyball skills but on character, confidence, resilience, leadership, and personal growth. The club's mission and core values show up in how coaches interact with players, how families support one another, and how girls are encouraged to grow as athletes and young people. Our own team faced plenty of challenges. We had players learning new positions, several first-year club athletes, and periods of instability that could have derailed development. Instead, we watched the girls improve dramatically. They became more skilled, more confident, more competitive, and more resilient. Our daughter gained meaningful court time, developed confidence, and grew more in a single season than we expected. More importantly, she genuinely looked forward to practices and finished the season loving the game even more than when she started. We've spoken with many families from other Stormbreaker teams, and our experience is not unique. Parents consistently share that their daughters improved more in one season than in previous years elsewhere. No club is perfect, and Stormbreaker is still growing. But it was intentionally built to address problems many families have simply accepted as normal in club volleyball. They created an environment where athletes can develop, compete, build confidence, and genuinely enjoy the game. For our family, the difference has been significant, and we are grateful for everything our daughter gained this season both on and off the court.

We are very happy that our daughter joined Stormbreaker volleyball club. When she first went for…read moretryouts, she already liked the place. Every week she is excited to go to practice to improve herself. The coaches are very professional and friendly. They have helped my daughter with technical skills. My daughter also asks for joining summer camps this year. Highly recommended for kids who want to play volleyball.

I've tried so many of the instructors, and everyone has their own vibe. Some are harder than others. It's really cool to figure out your favorites, and switch things up when needed etc. Unlike many other Lagree Studios, when you walk in, you enter a lobby first..Not just boom there's the machines and a cubbyhole for your things. There's a full lobby with seating and a separate room to place your items. The machines are further in the back in another room, which disconnects you from the entry door and windows. So when you're in session, you're not distracted by cars driving by or anything like that. I also really like the ambience. I prefer dark over squeaky bright studios. When it's time for class, the music is blaring and you lock tf in. The instructors are good at correcting your form when needed, and you can tell that the studio has a great deal of respect for Lagree. I've heard people complain about the parking, and I totally get it. But typically if you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your class, parking shouldn't be an issue. Ive only ever had an issue when I'm running a little late. You can have private events here too which is nice. I celebrated my birthday and it was cute and something different to do with my friends.

Everything I found in my research was true: Formation is the most technical, structured, and form‑focused studio around. The instructors pay close attention to your form and give real corrections so you get the most out of every movement. They're not the type of studio that hands you matcha for showing up, but they do run challenges and reward you for hitting milestones, which feels much more meaningful. The space isn't bougie; it's clean, functional, and designed for training, not selfies. It creates an environment where utility comes first, and you never feel intimidated walking in.

Or when I go to the gym during rush hour I can never hop on a free treadmill. Here at pickup it solves all those problems. There's rarely people working out at this gym but if there is it's only about two or three people using the area. It's always clean, always smells good, always the perfect temperature in the facility. But the pride and joy of this gym is the Pick up basketball games. From 6-9pm during the week and early mornings on the weekends there are pick up games with referees and practice jerseys for everyone. Each game is ten minutes and sudden death overtime usually caused by a free throw. Yes there are free throws. Last ten seconds of the game every foul sends you to the line. It really is the best gym money has to offer if your a basketball player. If your a parent with kids wanting to join the game. They now have a youth league from 6-13 years old. They have skills camp for the kids and personal one on one training as well.

UPDATE - AUGUST 2025…read more Over four years and 500+ sessions later, I can say with confidence: Reason Fitness is still the last stop on the road to better health and real results. I've dropped into many CF gyms while traveling, and it's always a relief--and a joy--to come back to Reason. The coaching here is next level. (Kara, Luke, Ed, Lauren to name a few...) Since my original review, these standout coaches helped transform my son into a serious athlete and, ultimately, a United States Air Force Academy appointee. Special shoutout to Coach Ed, who played a key role in getting him physically prepped for the intense USAFA requirements. I'm proudly part of the 5:30 AM crew (the finest hour, in my humble opinion). But no matter when you go, the community is welcoming, down-to-earth, and fun to work out with. One of Reason's true strengths is their ability to attract people who are ready to do the work--and to gently filter out those who aren't quite there yet. They also have a gift for hiring coaches who are not only highly skilled but also genuinely enjoyable to be around. Reason works with you, 1-on-1, to map out a plan that fits your goals--whether that's strength, weight loss, mobility, or just feeling better in your skin. You'll find all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels here. This is not a mirror-lined vanity factory. No egos. No robots. Just people doing the work. If you're serious about making a change--and want a place that will meet you where you are but won't let you stay there--Reason is it.

I did not press charges even my lawyer suggested that I can order a citizen arrest when police come to the store . because it will destroy a happy family. Which is not the purpose of my visit. However, if you keep force me to do so. I have no choice. And you can be liable for providing false statement of proof ( it is a crime ). I like Equinox, mostly because it's the only gym I've ever been able to go to consistently. I'm in…read morePasadena and I pay $240/month. Mine doesn't have a pool. I think whether it's worth it really depends on how you use it. If you're just using it like a normal gym, it's obviously way overpriced. But if you actually take advantage of the classes and amenities, it is worth it. The floor Pilates classes are free but the reformer classes are extra. The classes are really high quality with good instructors. For me especially because I hate packing stuff and they provide everything you need for all classes. Even for yoga, you don't have to bring anything. You just show up and they have mats, bolsters, blankets, and everything is clean and ready to go. For me personally, I use it as an escape because I can hit the steam room and take a shower sort of like a spa pass. They provide all the bath products too. I'm not a huge fan of the products themselves, they are drying kind of like hotel products,, but at least they're there, so I don't have to think about packing anything. Another thing is that it removed a lot of barriers because they provide towels, which are always clean and fluffy (and I don't have to wash). I can show up in workout clothes with a water bottle and everything else is provided. As with any gym, though, it's not worth it if you don't actually use it. It's also not a huge social scene, which might be a downside for some people but is an upside for me. I can go work out without worrying about having to talk to people or have awkward interactions around equipment. There aren't tons of people taking selfies or clogging up machines and walkways. It also doesn't get super crowded, which I think is partly because of the price point. Those are all huge pluses for me, but I'm on the more introverted side and just trying to work out, not update my social media or make new friends at the gym. I'm basically paying to remove barriers that usually prevent me from going to regular gyms, plus the classes are quality. I don't have to wait for equipment or deal with a bunch of little obstacles that make me less likely to go. They validate parking, which is another big plus. Between the parking, classes, towels, showers, and amenities, there are basically no barriers. The customer service is also really good, I've never had an unpleasant interaction on my way in or out at the front desk, so the whole experience is low stress. I used someone's referral code from here when I joined and got a gift shop credit/didn't have to pay the initiation fee. Everyone I know has been able to join without paying the invitation fee, so don't pay it, they will find a way to waive it because they want your business. I used someone else's link from reddit, but it got taken down. It got the fee waived and I got a credit, so I'm posting my link in case it helps someone else. https://equinox.com/referrals/003A000001TO5GKIA1 Bottom line is it's worth it if it actually gets you to go or you're already paying for classes somewhere else. If you're already paying for yoga classes somewhere else, that's probably close to $100 a month by itself, and you usually don't get all the extra amenities. For me, the biggest value is that it removes barriers and makes it easy and low stress so I don't avoid it. Having everything provided and not having to plan or prepare makes me much more likely to go consistently and yeah, I could save money and go somewhere else, but I wouldn't go, thus my Equinox membership.

WOW! Do not go to this club! BEWARE!…read more I went here as a guest as my girlfriend is(was) a member. She had been going here for about 3 years. I would say a dedicated member. This would be my 3rd time coming as a guest. I wanted to show her how I do my kettlebell workout. I am not a professional trainer. I do not work in the fitness industry. I am just someone who likes to stay in shape and I am not a part of any Gym. My Gf is a personal trainer for a living. We started to work out with kettlebells, and I stood of to the side and helped her. Within 5 minutes a manager comes over and says" you are not allowed to do personal training" I said," what does it need to look like so it will not appear to be personal training. I am not training her." The Manager said" if you work out together, doing the same exercise that's ok" So we complied. For the next 45 minutes that is what we did. When we finally got to our last exercise of working out together. The general Manager, Madison Bin,(Super long fake eyelashes) shows up and in a crowded section to let us know we are still engaged in personal training. I asked her," which exercise can you confirm that personal training was going on?" She could not answer. Only to reply" my trainers saw you" Basically, no one saw us and wanted nothing more than to elevate the situation. After escalating the situation in front of their other members, my GF decided to terminate her membership and ask for a refund on the remaining amount. We walk to the lobby and my GF goes to talk to their senior salesman, Benson Frederick. This idiot proceeds to escalate the situation even more by accusing us right away of training and starts to yell at me right away to get out of his office. No discussion. No understanding. Just yelling "get out"! I do not engage with people when they start yelling and I walk out. He would continue to yell and even spell the word "Out" This is how they treat their guest. And if you come in with your significant other or close partner beware. I guess all the trainers think they are Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible and They will treat you like "Osama Bin Training"
