The ambience was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a refreshing red sangria that was so yummy, and the ceviche was perfectly tangy with just the right hint of spice. We also tried the most unique gluten-free, dairy-free dessert, Maiz Morado and it was incredible! A special thank you to Jakie and Camille for being the best waitresses and making our celebration even more memorable. The only small disappointment was that we had previously visited Zaya a month ago, and we recognized the same manager working there as well. We noticed he visited and checked on nearly every other table, but unfortunately never stopped by ours either time. It didn't ruin our evening, but it did leave us feeling a little overlooked. Overall, though, we still had a lovely experience and enjoyed celebrating such a special occasion there.

I could eat bowls of them. Everything else on the menu is unique and tasty too I have two small critics - that would make this a 5 star review: 1. The tables are just a bit too close together. If you're on a date or dinner meeting on a busy night, you can't help but feel like the table over can hear every word....because you can. If they just removed one table from the main room to space things out, it would be much better. Alternatively, they could space people out a bit more and use the second room. 2. If you sit in the corners, there is almost no lighting. I have perfect vision and had to use my phone to see the menu. Just a sconce or something would go a long way.

We ordered apps and they came out pretty quick. The guacamole was fresh with house made chips. the shrimp Dyosas were yummy too. The octopus appetizer was not as good as expected, it was slimy so we had to send it back. The grilled chicken, rice and plantains were good! I took away 2 stars due to time of service and octopus dish.

However the service is terrible. A waiter got our drink order and then 2 other waiters came to ask us for our drinks. Doesn't seem like they communicate well or have their own sections. After that the server was practically non-existent. We had ordered a dos xx on 3 separate occasions and it never came. I had to get up and go to the bar to order the drink. The bartender was fast and quick, she had me with a drink in my hand with a closed tab in less than 2 min. The performers and bartender were the only reason I gave 3/5 or else I'd give it a 1/5 Edit: changing to 2/5. Took 25 min just to cash out. Had to flag down the waiter multiple times
