When my wife, who does not drink and has only a limited knowledge of alcoholic beverages, asked me what I wanted for Christmas I told her I wanted a bottle of Chartreuse. I had tried to add Chartreuse to my last Buster's delivery, but they were out. Now my wife lives for Christmas and works very hard to be sure everyone has the perfect gift. It was very frustrating for her not to be able secure that elusive green stuff. Trusting Buster's, she asked them if there was a reasonable substitute for Chartreuse and they recommended Dolin Genepy le Chamois. The staff member helping my wife asked her to wait one moment while he checked the stock. He returned with a bottle of Chartreuse from the manager on duty, Lauren, (I suspect from her own stock). As thrilled as I am to get the bottle for my bar, I am so happy to see my wife have her Christmas made more memorable. Buster's staff is the reason I keep coming back. If you are shopping somewhere else, you are missing one of Memphis' best shopping experiences.

I just had an horrible experience with Brian and a racist old white man. I shop at Kirby and Wine…read morevery often. I have been going there for about ten years. Lately the worker Brian has been showing extreme prejudice and looks like he is always under the influence. Today I came there about to park where Brian and another man was talking. Brian the employee had his cart blocking one of the parking spots so I proceeded to park next to the handicap spot. My car was slightly on the line when the white man talking to me Brian said you are parked in the handicap spot which I was not. I told him I'm slightly on the line but I will move as soon as I come out. He proceeded to say then that's a ticket. I walked into.the store and came back out and told the man he didn't have to be rude about it and him and Brian decided to start an argument being aggressive and clearly showing racist behaviors. I told them both they didn't have to be an a**hole and went to my car and left. I called the owner and told him about the incident he apologized. But that's not the first time Brain has acted hostile and racist towards other customers especially women of color. I decided to write this review because I really enjoyed going there now I don't feel safe and feel extremely uncomfortable due to white men and their ignorance. I will no longer be shopping there and I will go somewhere that appreciates my business and will make me feel welcomed. I suggest people of color do the same.
