Customer Service is behind glass, with holes to push through money to them. If you want to stay with your car, they have a clear cylinder to receive money, just like drive through banks. The drive-in is open 7:30am -- 5:30pm. The drive-in and after hours depository are located in the alley behind the building.

The way the library had been used prior had quiet a bit of unused space. Now, all I see is shelves, and shelves and shelves of books, and other learning materials. I appreciate and enjoyed the little display cases showing off cameras and dolls, i.e. The only thing I wish that Midland County would have taken into consideration was that this building could have used a great deal of natural light and should have instructed the architect to provide tall and wide, shatter proof windows. If you read, you automatically realize the need for light. Natural light is always the best. Artificial light is a necessity for dark, stormy or winter days as well as night hours and we will never escape those scenarios, but the tall, wide shatter-proof windows would have been an absolute great thing to have.

Luckily, I was able to on a work trip since it was a very short walk there from my hotel. On the outside, it looks very large with beautiful decorations and paintings all around the building. When you walk in, it's a bit underwhelming. It feels like a stale business office. The book selection is actually pretty decent although I was disappointed in their oil and gas book selection given that Midland/Odessa is THE oil town of America. I would say the highlights of this library is that they have 2 gaming stations with games for PlayStation, Wii, Switch, and Xbox, and they have plenty of computers. I would recommend this library for residents of Midland but people visiting will probably find it underwhelming with its offerings.

One day I asked the mail man "sir do you have a package for "my name" " and he said "everything was left outside their door" when I went through I was seeing packages from high end companies, IRS paperwork, job information and personal information and this "mail man" left it outside for Greater midland to find. They WILL not walk up to your door and deliver your package cause they are all lazy and worthless. How are these people making it into this organization? I bought a $560 part for my truck and it's been 2 weeks AFTER the original delivery date and still no part. The company I do business with said "we chose USPS one time and this is what happens? Never again we are so sorry" businesses have to take the fall cause Midland USPS is worth less then the dirt between my toes. It was a great way to spend a little less than an hour before lunch. There was nothing political about it and our tour guide (Kaylee?) was excellent and knew so many of the facts we asked her (she had also given us fantastic suggestions on where to eat and what else to do nearby). We walked through restored areas of a living room, kitchen, nursery, George W's childhood bedroom, bathroom, photos of the family, a history of Midland, a baseball room, and a recreated outside area. In my adult life, I have had to get driver's licenses in 4 states and 6 different license offices…read more This BY FAR is the LONGEST wait time. I got there really early before the doors opened. I am not joking when I say I was probably about the 20th person in line at the door. Of course not everyone was there for regular DLs, so "my line" was probably even shorter... right? WRONG! I had all of my documents in order and got my number/ticket within 5 mins of them opening the doors. It was not until over 3.5 hours later that my number was called. I was getting SO frustrated because I was missing work for this. Had I known it would take forever and a day I would have requested the time off work to get it done. They had like 23 booths but only 3 people working. And then they service people for Commercial DLs first it seems. And in this area, there are A LOT of those. And then I noticed the few people who WERE working took a 15 or so minute break and they hadn't even been open 4 hours yet. I was so extremely frustrated by the time I got out of there almost 5 hours after I first got there.

It's always the same unfriendly, unhelpful, rude, and hateful women working behind the desk who obviously doesn't care about anyone or anything. How she's been working there for so long I will never know. And it's not from lack of trying to be friendly, I still walk up with a smile and try to make small chit-chat. It's also not just me, you can hear it with every person that goes through that line. Today she left the desk with no one else working for around 10 minutes with a line out the door to go yell at her coworker in the back. Unfortunately, it happens to be the closest PO to my house and even that's a 30 minute drive. If you have a choice of POs to take your mail to, don't choose this one.
