He was apologetic and gave some BS excuse. I told him him I had a bunch of cash at home that I'd really like to deposit. He said he had to check with someone, or something along those lines. More days went by. I called him and left a message asking for him to call me back. Nothing. I deposited my money at another credit union today and can honestly say that dealing with AZOne CU was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in my life.

In my process of sourcing more details about the nuances for a USDA loan, I found reference to NACA on a social media site. Their mortgage process sounded almost too good to be true. No down payment, no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, and a lower interest rate than the current market? It was beyond what I was hoping for and, although I'd heard it can be long and tedious, I could see the worth. I started my application on 4/27/2025, completed the education process over the following weekend and was able to get an intake appointment scheduled for 5/9/2025. After discussing my situation with my counselor and providing all documentation needed, I was able for qualify for more than initially approved through traditional methods! This means I can actually buy a home closer to my kid's school in Chandler. PLUS I feel thoroughly supported in the process, well informed, and excited for the next steps! Highly suggest taking the steps NACA requires, as it's well worth it! Beyond what I'm getting from NACA, I'm also so excited to give back through their participation requirement of 5 volunteer events per year.
