Instead of admitting error and simply apologizing, FCM became unresponsive and demanding, up to and including the president of operations. FCM just kept sending us forms, sending us emails, demanding signatures, without any sort of explanation. Several times I reached out, asking for my loan officer to explain the situation to me, without response. Do you want to use a mortgage company that won't return your calls? Do you want to risk having a mistake on your closing documents? If something does happen during the closing process would you expect someone to take accountability? Do you want someone that will answer questions? As a consumer, you have so many options for home loans, that this sort of customer service is absurd. I would pick differently if I had to do it over.

I was pre-approved for 266k through another lender who chose to work with me (and my good credit score)and not judge me based on the color if my ID. That is the only plausible answer as to why I never received an answer or so much as a return phone call.
