I called and had a hard time getting the saleswoman to say whether or not they carried certain kinds, despite the fact that their website said they did. Finally she directed me to the man in charge, and he told me they had the pullets I wanted. Only after asking exactly how old they were did I find out they were a little over two weeks old, but "very hardy". Of course they weren't hardy enough to put outside in the coop yet, but he was willing to call them pullets and say they were really hardy, just not hardy enough to be outside or without a heat lamp! That's not hardy, by the way. The second time I tried to buy something from them was when I wanted to make a fence using hardware cloth to protect my garden from gophers. They were unable to sell me the size and length I needed, and didn't offer to order it for me. I said I would look on Amazon and they said OK and hung up. Why don't farm stores sell things farmers need in Yakima? Why is Amazon the only place you can find things like basic fencing or decent chicken feed? Why don't any stores like this sell actual pullets instead of just chicks? Did you know not everyone that has a chicken coop outside has a place to raise chicks inside?

Can be a little hard to find at first. The easiest way to remember is it's behind lee peterson…read more This is a great place to get your propane filled. Or your livestock supplies and feed big or small animals For me it is a single large house rabbit. The staff has always been friendly.

They recommended chicken wire, and naive me believed their advice and put it up around my 250 foot garden. I have regretted that decision every day since, because gophers just run right through the holes. People who know farming in Yakima should have warned me that I need fencing with smaller holes to keep them out. 2)When I figured out what kind of fencing would actually work, I went back to Wilco to ask for some. They told me they only sell it in ten foot rolls. Anyone who has ever done a fence knows how much of a pain it would be attaching ten foot pieces twenty five times. Plus they didn't carry fencing tall enough to bury some of it under the ground, which is how you keep gophers from digging under. When I asked them to order some, they said they don't do special orders and I should look on Amazon, or maybe try their competitors in town, Coastal. 3) We decided to do chicks this year, and again tried Wilco. At least one of the chicks we got from Wilco was infected with tremovirus and infected all of our other chicks from other places and they all ended up dying because of it. It was sad and terrible and my wife is still traumatized from it. Wilco looks like a real store, but it's just a facade. In actuality it only services people pretending to be farmers. Real farmers apparently have to buy everything on Amazon, because shopping locally just isn't an option.

I think the only animal food they don't stock is fish and reptile. I went there for Rabbit food. Owning a Flemish Giant who eats a lot I like the selection for Rabbits. The prices in my opinion is very reasonable. I was able to interact with a couple of employees. Very nice there. It is definitely worth the short drive from Yakima. I also like how you can buy small bails of hay very reasonable price.

My card was charged immediately and then two hours later I got a text stating my order was canceled, there was no call, no reason just canceled. So I call the number I found and asked about the cancelation, the lady was rude and acted like she was doing me a favor by even talking to me, i asked about the cancelation and she stated the product was not available at the local store. I informed her I knew this but the website said I could order it online and have it shipped and if it was unavailable from another store or warehouse. She said she didn't know it was unavailable at the store locally so they canceled and she hung up. ON an up note, amazon had the product and is shipping to me for no delivery charge (tractor supply charged $6.99). I tried to keep my money local and buy from a local store, however, if they completely lack any customer service people will continue to move to bigger online stores. Too bad all it would have taken was her being decent.
