12 months later and my love affair with this little shop stands…read more Last week, I was walking the Make It Festival when the infamous Karen jumped into the aisle in front of me. Not only did she remember me (i've bumped into her a few times at the shop, but not more then a handful) but she was still the incredibly energetic, totally genuine ball of sunshine that made me RUN home to pen that first review back in January. And so, as a tip of the hat to my top service ninja of the year, I thought it be best to share some new findings at Two of Hearts: 1. Karen has a jewellery line that she sells at the shop! Go buy it and support local crafters and an all around rad person! ...I don't remember the name, because I took a business card and had her write down the specifics on a few pieces. Such organization obviously means I will lose said card within 24 hours. I do however have a note that says: "Sounds like the muppets song Mahna Mahna." Because i'm an adult. So I will take that to the Twitterverse for further investigation. Stay tuned. 2. Hats!! If you are looking for the most fabulous fall hat, go check out the Andre felt hats from Montreal. I debated over mine last January and it is singlehandedly my second favourite purchase of the year (it's tough to compete with the Fiat...) They are an excellent price (under $100), made in Canada and just classic, beautiful pieces. But if you buy the red one in the window before, I will get mad at you. Bonus points: you can't even find this line online for a better price. Tip of the hat 2ofH. 3. Bags! I have beat the s%&t out of my bag over the year - every day, dual laptop wielding and it has survived. Definitely looking a bit worse for wear, but it's held up far better then I expected, considering the price point is so reasonable. Right now, they have super awesome colours like hot pink mailbags & bright red clutches. It's a rainbow money suck! 4. Still with the awesome people. Karen isn't an anomaly here. Honest to gosh, i've had nothing but the most fabulous service every time i've gone in. Everyone who works here is all sugar & spice. ...I still have yet to find any actual clothing that fits me properly here... but I don't care. Great accessories & fab people will keep this place as a go to. *** Meiku Designs!!! ... not even close.

Maybe if I loved the styles more, I can justify it and perhaps if they had a sale. Then again, everyone has different styles since my friend just loved this store. The sales person never once greeted me as well, but they seemed nice and could have been really busy. She worked with a smile on her face, I like that.

Even though there were two sales people in the tiny shop neither of them so much as acknowledged my presence the whole time I was there. They manoeuvred around me, passed me, stood near me, all while completely ignoring me. I waited by the till while a staff member wrote up something, hoping for at least "I'll be with you in a moment," but no. She finished what she was doing, turned and walked away. There WERE other customers in the store that they were assisting, but does that preclude a quick smile or hello to a new customer? I had questions about a couple of items and waited patiently. To no avail. I may as well not have been there. I gave up, left and won't return. If you like browsing $200 T-shirts and $400 sweaters while being ignored by staff, Twist is the place for you.

I spoke to Katrina who indicated to me that if we brought the pants with the receipt (but without the tabs) down to the store, we would receive the price adjustments. Base on what we were told, we headed promptly to the store. After 30 min of driving and finding parking, we made it to the store. To our annoyance, Rae at the store indicated to us we were misinformed and that he was unable to provide the price adjustments as agreed by this colleague. Even after showing my phone log and reiterating the conversation, he stood firm with his statement. We asked to speak to his manager, to which he indicated he was the only one there. My question is this event is for "Customer Appreciation". This experience alone does not make this customer appreciated at all. I'm was appalled your store did not honor what customer service representatives indicated resulting us wasting our time. I've since emailed them and am waiting to hear back as to whether or not they'll do the honourable thing and make this right ... Update: Since reaching out to their website and posting on Yelp, Lauren, the store's Shop Director contacted me to resolve the issue. I truly appreciate her doing that and it has regained my confidence in their store's customer service.

Prices rarely dip below the $200 mark but you'd almost swear it's worth the splurge and temptation to claim "fashion need" bankruptcy. The pieces in this boutique are exquisite and come from a splattering of designers - both known and emerging - who all have impeccable taste. Unique combinations of neutral tones and tactile materials mix with bohemian and eclectic to create the most stylish wardrobe a girl could hope for. Apart from the shell-shocking price tags, the shopping experience at Misch is very pleasurable. Hardwood floors and neatly arrange racks make for easy garment spotting and you'll also find a small assortment of very groovy shoes and bags to compliment your gorgeous look. I will definitely return to Misch to shop up a storm, once I've made my millions.

Extremely rude. My girlfriend is a gorgeous blonde, I'm a physician, and I was wearing $400 sneakers..so not really sure what you have to be to get any service in this store. So Vancouver of you. So I let them know we'll be buying the backpack elsewhere. I guess we should have been from a certain other country to get a hello, given this is Vancouver.

Every garment in the store seems to have arrived on the rack only after thoughtful consideration and more often than not I can flip through the rack coveting everything. As before, I was struck by the style and quality of the whole experience, but especially the clothes. It really is a light year above typical clothing fare. In a time when so many rely on the sweatshop disposability of stores like Old Navy, it's such a relief and a treat to find items of real quality. All you need to do is run your hand over the clothes - the fabric is high quality and extremely well made. The clothes are fit skillfully and thoughtfully, and fit well, to compliment the body. These are clothes made for bodies and figures, and wardrobe classic staples, some with genius flare and unusual style, to last and last. My favourite recent find was the bamboo leggings - being of a pretty generous body size (14-16), I was skeptical at the "one size" tag, which usually is my arch-nemesis, but they really are such a gorgeous, high-stretch but natural, durable fabric. I wear my two pairs constantly and hope to get more soon. If I had the money to be on the mainland more often, I would be here very frequently.
