As a Chinese girl:D, I really try hard to get away from some Cantonese restaurants in China town, why? Although those chefs are actively creative in changing their ingredients, what my friends and I need is authentic taste!
Believe me or not, MK is the best Szechuan and Hunan restaurant in Manchester(I was born in Chongqing,China),the Boss is same as Red Chilli, but its chef definitely masters traditional chilli cuisine, like shredded pork with vegetable and chilli, fish filets in hot chilli oil,and steamed pork with rice flour.
The main course price is from £7-£12 for each dish, noodles around £5. If you would like to try different noodles style:rice noodles, one of my favourite noodles!!! Try shredded pork with pickles and vegetables, used to be my everyday essential noodles hohoho:P.
If you get there, pages of menu would make you 'ouch! decisions!'. Usually my friends and I spent 15mins or more, worth it!!!
Anything added to my 1st review? Awwww...If you really like Szechuan food, I mean really~~~why not travel to Sheffield?China Red, my reason for 4 star here. I didn't mean to break my friends' hearts as they seem to be locked in MK everyday. Their reasons?near campus, near library, near station, or near their projects' dead lines??? However,we all enjoy the food and service. read more
