A couple dolphins decided to cruise alongside us for quite a bit of time. The marine sea creatures were so much fun. Loved being able to touch and learn about these beautiful creatures. There were not enough passengers to fill two boats, so we didn't do a water fight. Instead, the kids got to shoot the water off of the boat and still had a blast. This dolphin cruise was so much fun. Staff were so friendly and kind. Two hours was the perfect amount of time as well. Be sure to tip staff. We used the QR code to tip via Venmo. This cruise was specifically great because it was alcohol free. Our family enjoyed that a lot.

I might be a little biased because I've known Tracy from AAA Charters for 18 years but hands down,…read moreshe's one of the best (if not the best) on the island. I was born & raised on the island and just had the opportunity to bring 11 friends in from Tucson, Arizona to experience my home, the beautiful Gulf Coast of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach. Everyone asked "what's the one thing we should all do?" and without hesitation I said "SNAPPER FISHING!" I called Tracy and she immediately put us a charter together out of the Flora-Bama Yacht Club. We set sail on the "Miss E" captained by Alex and his 3 deck hands. The 3 deck hands were so patient as we had to kids, ages 8 & 9. They constantly checked on the boys ensuring their lines were baited and their reels were working. After 2 hours we caught the boat limit and as an Alabama native, I'm proud to say I reeled in 7 on my own! If you want to experience fishing on the Gulf, call AAA Charters. Tracy is responsive, knows the island like the back of her hand, and works side by side with numerous captains. Tracy will go out of her way to ensure your trip is a success!

There are restrooms and benches and a very nice brick pathway along the edge of the water. The pier does extend out quite a way. The day we were there was blazing hot, so the walk to the end of the Pier seemed to take forever, but at the end there is some shade to make it all worthwhile. From the pier parking lot you could drive over to the beach area. There is a booth where you need to pay to enter the beach area, however when we were there, no one was working the booth. The beachfront is fairly long, and seems very clean. We weren't there very long, but we enjoyed checking it all out.

I ended up getting my bottom filled and faired the second time. Donnie and Tom do a great job. I was really impressed with the first repair, as Tom managed to match my weird gel coat color well enough that I need to point out the repair to others for them even to notice. I think that if you are a one design racer and live withing a 6 hour drive, there is no doubt who you need to take your boat to for hull repair. Many members of our sailing club come here for their boat repair needs, and there is no doubt that boats are faster after visiting Donnie and Tom.
