Requested a tire repair late last night, and had my appointment slot approved first thing in the morning (even before they opened for the day!) When I went to take it in, found a second tire completely flat and had to put the spare on before even taking it in. Almost didn't make my appointment time, but they called me to check in! Once I got there, they took my car back right away and did a full inspection- which they promptly sent me the results and photos! The only issue was my tires and they were able to patch both tires for me and do the full inspection in about an hour! Fantastic service, very kind and trustworthy people. Warranty Fears! I took my just purchased vehicle to Midas for Radiator issues. I was really really worried about the Insurance I had just purchased and the nightmare of dealing with them. I called Midas on 11th st and Talked with Alicia, Immediately, she said, No worries, I know how to deal with the warranty places, I know what they need to file a claim. Im really Good at this..(understatement). That really eased my mind. Left my car and within an hour or so, Alicia called, gave me a run down of the issues and not only that she had already contacted the warranty place and they agreed to fix the issues. I want to add that an inspector came out within a couple of days and found the same issues as Midas did. I was really glad to hear that. Called before going up in person because my check engine light was on. Man on the phone stated the diagnostic price but then stated it wouldn't be charged if work was done at the facility. I've been there previously and told the exact same thing. They diagnosed low oil and some filters at almost $400. Went to my appointment next day for repairs and he states that he can not take the $153 charge off today's bill because it wasn't a repair issue. I informed him that he didn't give any reasons over the phone or that morning when I stopped by to change my appointment time. He agreed he never warned me it could be a separate additional charge but only Joey (the regional ) could wave it. He then called Joey and refused to do the work today or refund the money. I've used 3 Midas locations in the Tulsa area and never had a terrible customer service experience like this. Sounds like a scam. read more

Monday, I called Midas/Brookside concerning a check engine light. The man on phone stated $154 diagnostic fee even though last time I was only quoted $99 by the same bald man. He stated on phone if I had the work done fee waived. I've done this previously wo issue at 3 area Midas stores. I go in person and deal w/2 young gentlemen Monday. One states the same thing. I agree to have the work done Tuesday. I show up and the bald guy states he cannot waive the fee now even though I'm having everything done there. He agrees he was the one on the phone and stated that but refuses to honor it. I go across the street to Jiffy lube on Peoria and have all work completed in under an hour for almost $200 less and no $153 diagnostic fee. I think he was trying to take advantage of me as a female driver. Peoria location is the only one to make me feel this way. The 11th st location was great and has replaced parts/brakes wo issues over the years. The broken arrow location did great work on a right CV joint repair. My husband was literally at this same location 3 weeks ago and they didn't even attempt to charge him a "diagnostic fee" and his check engine light was also on. read more

Took my car in for an oil change last week, haven't drove it since. Went to drive it today and had a 3-4 foot oil spill. Called Midas, where I took it to get the oil change, they had a mechanic come to my house to see what was going on, which I thought was great customer service on their part. The mechanic cleaned up the spill and took the car back to the shop to see what was going on. Said my "cv axle seal" was dangling and loose but looked brand new. called me back and told me it was going to be $500 to replace the seal. It's an $11 part from autozone. They want to charge me over $400 for labor. My car was FINE when I took it in for an oil change. Then the gentleman on the phone proceeds to tell me that they just fired a lot of employees and that they have guys who only do oil changes working as mechanics. Made me feel real confident in their work. Called HHH Transmission they said that the Midas I went to is under new management and they have had a couple people have the same thing happen to them: they went in for an oil change and when they got their car back it had issues, and that it was roughly a $250 repair, not $500. Midas also told me they did an Inspection on my car upon doing the oil change and there were NO notes about that, that my car was in good condition when I left, therefor it was something caused when I left the lot. I haven't driven the car in a week and their hands were the last ones on it. I know nothing about cars and when going to businesses like this I rely on their honesty and work ethic, however, I got neither. I got stuck with a handful of issues and to be told that it was my fault. I just moved to Tulsa and this was my first experience with Midas and needless to say, I will not be back. I will also advise my friends and family not to go their either. Very disappointed. read more

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and road trip check via a flyer I received in the mail. I didn't have an appointment but I did get there right after they opened. The owner Brian was very pleasant and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. He explained to me my receipt and things they had found regarding my vehicle. I made an appointment at the 11th street location online and received a call later that they needed to reschedule due to staffing issue, no problem got a confirmation showed up on time and was told by Brian the mgr, no appointment found and no one even there to do exhaust work, on a SATURDAY! I was pissed, he wanted to send me to another location, I called BS and he said "don't come in here demanding stuff", why would someone put this arrogant ASS in charge of anything, much less a customer service business! At this point, SUPER pissed and god forbid I express my dissatisfaction and when I did walking out was told "f*ck you go to another store", which I did and got great service by a competitor (All American Muffler) that had me in and out in 15 minutes with a fixed exhaust! I filed a complaint with district office and did receive a call promptly offering to make things right, I don't think all Midas locations are this bad but this one definitely needs new management! read more

My daughter is a college student in Tulsa. She had some repair work done on her car in her home state of North Carolina. When she took her car to Midas's 11th St Tulsa location, they discovered a $800 problem from the repair and pointed it out to her. They did their best to fix it for free instead of upselling her for parts and labor. They also contacted the dealership in NC that did the work, supplied paperwork to convince them they were at fault, ordered the parts, and did a wonderful repair job. Fortunately the dealership agreed to pay for the damage. All my daughter had to do was drop her car off in the morning and pick it up later the same day. They are thorough, honest, and great to have on your side. As long as she is in Oklahoma, she will be taking her car there. They are awesome! read more

I had my oil changed at Midas about a month ago and I have gone less that 1,000 miles since it was changed. My engine light came on and it started to run badly last week. I took my car to have the engine light read and it came back that my VCT needed to be replaced. My dad went to replace it and checked my oil. It turns out my oil was 2 quarts low and also very dirty. After the oil was added to my car it ran completely fine. This could have been a one off situation but it should not have happened. read more

I had the best experience with Midas! After my car started making some pretty loud rumblings, I called Monday morning and got an appointment for 4 p.m. that day. After diagnosing the issue and getting the go-ahead from me, the technician immediately welded it right up and my car is better than it's been in a LONG time! I went in at 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon the 19th of September. I am from out of town and my car started smoking. I left my car for them to inspect and ubered with my daughter to drop her off at her basketball game and ubered back in order to get my car back before they closed at 5:00. They informed me that my issue was an alternator and a belt. They said I would be able to make it home to Arkansas by just changing the belt as long as I didn't drive at night and kept my headlights off. At 5:15 a gentleman walks in the customer service area and said they worked too long trying to get the wrong belt on and that now it was closing time and he wasn't going to put the right belt on. I am a single mom and I was appalled to be back at square one when I needed to safely get my child back home. I told him I needed to drive home and he said he would absolutely not recommend me driving. Knowing full well I had no choice. I ended up having to hire someone to come to my hotel to change my alternator (didn't need a belt change) because all mechanic shops were closed. I made it home safe and my mechanic also confirmed I didn't need a new belt and the smoking was from a leaking radiator. I am appalled at how I was treated and the lack of concern they had, knowing full well I needed to drive home. I will never go to another Midas again. read more

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I took my car in to Midas a couple of years ago and spent $1000 replacing brake pads/brakes and the serpentine belt. A week later, I drove to Oklahoma City and my serpentine belt SLIPPED OFF while I was on the turnpike, leaving me stranded in Stroud. I had to take a $300 tow back to Tulsa. It then took them THREE separate attempts to get my serpentine belt on correctly, including having the "master tech" do it. I STILL had to later call a mobile mechanic to put on a completely new belt. I've just taken my car into another shop and found that my rear brakes are just metal on metal. I've now had to spend hundreds of dollars on top of the THOUSAND dollars I spent at this Midas to redo EVERY. SINGLE. THING. THEY. DID. They did not refund any of the money I spent, and it took months of hassling them to even get a check to reimburse me for my towing expense. THESE GUYS CAN'T EVEN REPLACE A SERPENTINE BELT. I wouldn't trust them to replace my windshield wipers. DO NOT GO HERE. read more
