O had front end damage to my truck and they have done 2 alignments and it's still not right, I totally destroyed a new set of tires in 6 months, because the alignments is off. Now they are refusing to take my truck back. Im a part of USAA and im documenting all of this with statements from mechanics and the place where I get my tires. I goal is to get them removed from the USAA network of repair shops. This shop is not professional and they speak half truths to benefit themselves.

Just a few examples: to remove the rusty exhaust pipes, they cut the bolts on the exhaust manifold instead of just cutting off the old pipes. This misstep later led to an expensive trip to the machine shop to repair the damage. The doors were way out of adjustment, causing the need to slam the doors to get them closed. Also, the paint on the door edges and body became chipped because of the maladjustment. To fix this problem later, the fenders had to be pulled forward to access the door hinges, causing the excessive bondo to break. A proper adjustment before painting the car would have avoided this problem altogether. The paint job itself was of such poor quality, that it will need to be completely repainted. What bothers me the most about my experience with Low Country Paint Body & Restoration is that my classic 1965 Malibu SS was treated like a piece of junk during the 3-month stay at this shop. At times I stopped by shop to check on the progress and found the car with food or drinks laying in the trunk or on the roof. I had to point out what I thought were obvious defects that weren't getting fixed, always getting excuses and requests for more money. When I did get the car back, I had to spend hours cleaning up all the dirt and dust that had built up in every nook and cranny of the car. No care was taken to protect the car from the dust and debris that permeated the shop. When I picked up the car, it was covered with thick dust over the new paint. Their remedy was to wash the car using a hose and a long-handled brush (ugh). Since there were no door or trunk seals, water seeped in causing the inner trunk paint to wash off in big blotches. There wasn't one panel on the car that didn't have blemishes. The roof was under-sprayed with color and the grey primer shows through. I was a fool to take my car to Lowcountry Paint Body and Restoration. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

My vehicle was brought to Better Collision after an accident. From the beginning, the communication…read morewas poor. I did not receive a proper introduction from the person assigned to my repair, no clear explanation of the process, and no proactive walkthrough of the damage or repair plan. I had to initiate contact myself after the estimate was uploaded because important accident-related damage was not clearly addressed. The initial handling of my concerns was dismissive and unprofessional. I had to question why tire/rim damage and other visible accident-related damage were not included or properly discussed. My vehicle had been towed because it did not feel safe to drive after the accident, yet I had to push for the tire and wheel concerns to be taken seriously. State Farm/appraisal had to get involved before certain disputed damage was addressed. Better Collision kept my vehicle for approximately a month. When I finally picked it up, the repair was still not complete. A chrome trim piece was missing from the vehicle, and the cracked front grille/fascia that had been documented as part of the accident damage had not been replaced. That should have been caught before the vehicle was ever released back to me. A basic final quality-control inspection should have identified both issues. Since then, I have had to continue chasing Better Collision to fix the unresolved cracked grille/fascia. I have made calls, sent emails, and contacted State Farm twice about this issue. I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, and left work early to attend it. When I arrived, the staff member I spoke with was not even aware that I had an appointment, and I was told Chris was not there. At this point, it has been roughly three months since the repair process began, and I am still trying to get Better Collision to complete something that should have been handled before my vehicle was returned to me. This experience has shown a serious lack of communication, follow-through, quality control, and accountability. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase a repair shop to finish accident-related repairs, especially after the shop has already had the vehicle for an extended period of time. Based on this experience, I would not return to Better Collision and would not recommend them for collision repairs.
