After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

The…read moreinspection came back that I needed new brakes , a new speed sensor, contaminated brake fluid, multiple hoses replaced, radiator flush, and a bunch of other things. I decided to get the brakes fixed although it surprised me with the rotors and the wire harness just needed to be reattached. Nothing was ever communicated. I made the mistake of paying over a $1000 for the front brake repair ( rotors / pads) and wiring speed sensor because I was busy. Bottom line - overpriced on labor and parts. My wire harness over left wheel was taped up so was it replaced? My mechanic friend inspected it and says no way. When I asked if I could see what they ordered, I was denied access. My car sat outside most of the day and it was in garage minimally according to my car gps. Your call but I am not going back and I do not trust them. Lesson learned and I'm out $1000 which isn't much but I'm just glad I didn't fall for everything else they wanted to do. Front brake pads for $1000, a wire repair never communicated, and my old rotors were fine. I'm sure they will respond to this professionally but my perspective is real.

Upon arriving, I was immediately helped get through the details of my repair and we were off to the races. Because I needed a ride upon departure, they provided a free shuttle (most places will not) to my residence. Once finished, they contacted me, I scheduled another shuttle to return (again, most places will not do this), and within 12 minutes, I was on my way again. Back at their shop, they explained my bill, the work they completed, and we took care of the bill. I am extremely happy that I found these guys. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. Rushing over, I made by 7:15 it to Town Center Auto Repair, where Tommy, the owner, helped me out. The mechanic already on duty was busy, but when Josh, a second mechanic, arrived at 7:30,Tommy put him right on it. After inspecting it, Josh set to work and quickly welded it back together. The three year warranty is also for real, no double talk or trying to get out of paying, just honest and up front dealings. I had a timing belt and water pump installed a few months ago and on a trip back to Chicago the water pump started leaking. Had it repaired and gave the invoice to Chris Martin and he started the paperwork right away, a week and half later I had a check for the repairs. The leak was not a result of poor workmanship, just a faulty pump. The technicians at KELLER BROS are top of the line and do excellent work. Any repairs needed on your vehicle can be handled quickly and efficiently at KELLER'S.

I think the manager failed to remember I had told him I was a mechanic. I returned for the car and confirmed the suspension and and ball joints were solid. I then went to Les Schwab for the alignment and asked them to double-check the suspension and ball joints. They confirmed all was well and the alignment was done. This is just sad and I feel bad for innocent consumers who get ripped off like this.
