I've always been skeptical of Automotive chains, Midas included. However when you have teenagers in Clunkers, you soon start peeling back the onion and finding places that you can trust that won't take you for a ride. This is one such place! I brought my kids cars for front end alignments and my car for a front end alignment; and after being violated by a Toyota dealership in Littletonearlier in the week, I gave Midas a shot at something a little bit more juicy than alignments and such. I drive a high mileage Toyota and noticed a funny sound coming from the wheels. It turns out that my front bearings were finally shot at 260,000 miles in one wheel. They identified other problems with it too, but the bearing had to be replaced. I received a call the next morning saying that the other bearing was not far behind and both of them should be replaced. They said that it was an easier job than they thought and lowered the per unit price. It made sense to me. Sure it was a hefty bill, but I walked away from the experience feeling good with the work that they did for the price that they charged me. I will gladly go here again and again. read more

My daughter took her 2018 Subaru Forrester in for an oil change. The following week, she noticed that the car would occasionally "chug" or "sputter". Didn't say anything to me. About a month went by and she told me about it - saying "ever since I had my oil changed, my car has done strange things. We took it to a Firestone - they said there is something wrong with your transmission. We took it to Aamco. Shared what had happened. They told us that it was down 2 quarts of transmission fluid. More than likely, the technician at this Midas began to drain the transmission fluid instead of the oil (both of the drains are very close together, the oil one being hidden and unless you know which one is which, you can open the wrong one). The technician at AAMCO said that if they would have told her, she could have made sure that there was the appropriate amount of transmission fluid in it. At no time did anyone at the Midas say anything. At this point, she will need to replace the transmission within a year (possibly).. We have no way of proving this was due to an error by the technician at this Midas. But the timing was just too suspicious. Be careful who works on your car - if they are inexperienced, they may make a careless error and you may be in for some costly repairs!! read more

I requested my keys back and they had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reschedule. What's the point of scheduling to begin with if you can't provide the service requested? I went to get my car fixed and they had no driver I was told there's no available I had to wait there all day from 930 anti 430 pm I watched them a girl do an oil change and couldn't put the under insulation back on the car so the guy working on my car came over and neither one could figure it out so they took all 6 pc and threw them away I have picture to prove it!!!!!! I was finally ready to go 1700 dollars later and there system froze so he insisted I pay again kept arguing that it didn't go threw even after I showed him it was deducted from my account so he wasn't letting me go til I paid again his suggestion was tomarrow will fix it and I'm the morning I called my back to have it reversed . I drove off in a few day I called with the same problem and was told it needs to wear I'm and it will stop and it didn't 3weeks later I called the owner Dan and I was referred back to don who said him and his ast manager showed I need to change a part of my power steering because it was leaking to I told him there is a difference between a suggestion and telling me I need to change it !!! First the problem was exactly the same no difference other then I'm out 1700.00 so they put the blame on me I would never go there even for a simple oil change either!!!!! So absolutely do NOT take your car here! If I could have given zero stars I would have. The assistant manager will is one of the laziest people I have ever met. I took my car in and asked him to install an ambient temperature sensor for my Subaru. First thing he hit me with is "we don't install customer purchased parts." I said okay I just ordered it from NAPA why don't you pick it up when it's ready. This was followed by a whole litany of excuses from: "I've never installed that part before, we're really busy today, I can't find any installation instructions" and so forth. I ultimately found a YouTube video and installed it myself. I have two cars that this shop will be getting zero business from going forward. Really disappointed in the shop. I bring my truck in for a recharge on ac. So they did the truck ac recharge that cost 185.00 which I was ok with. They told me that I had no leaks ,they charged the system. Ok great I thought, not more than a few hours later it quits blowing cold air. So I talked to them about it they said being it back and they would take a look at it. Ok so I take it back and they look at it and tell me it's empty on freon. And they can't find any leaks, so at that point they just basically said here's your truck and we don't know what happened. Said to look on Google for problem and left it at that. I thought I was having competent people work on truck that could fix my problem. So now I will have to take it to a shop where competent people work and cost me more money just to find out what my problem is. If you want a oil change maybe they could do that maybe. read more

I shopped around, looked at Costco, Tirerack.com, and Big O and realized they have the best price on the tires. What a bonus that all of the guys were really friendly and professional. Well let's see, looking for HONEST mechanics? Definitely head there! I've had the dealership tell me 3 separate times on 2 diff cars that we needed alignments and I took to these guys and not a charge and showed me screen to prove the cars were good. They could've easily charged me for both and I would've never known. While I was there in the waiting room a very similar situation happens to a older couple but theirs was a little more extensive, they handled like champs. What a horrible experience. Went through a whole on line process giving them lots of information to get a "Wait" appointment confirmed for the same day in a 2 hour window - so far so good. Then someone calls me to tell me sorry, that online system is really not connected to the shop. bed they can do is if I drop it off today they may get to it tomorrow. I got to this location at 5:40 p.m. after work. Supposedly they close at 6p.m., but the guy at the counter said "I won't have time to do it before 6. We only have a few minutes left." Are you open until 6 or not!? I worked in a restaurant for a while and if somebody came in at 5:59:59 they were getting food. Had a small exhaust leak on my Lexus SC300. Took it there to see about fixing it. Brian told me the section needed to be replace with MaganFlow . Cost 800 dollars for the part and 80 for install. I actually got a written estimate from him... I said.. Let me get over the sticker shock and I would let him know... Took the car to BUDS Mufflers Denver. Nathan took a look and said we can cut the bad pipe out and weld in a new pipe from the front flange to the Cat. Should take a little over and hour and cost 180 bucks.. I said.. Do it... All fixed !! Not sure why MIDAS is not tooled up with a cutting wheel, Pipe bender, and welder like Buds.. Maybe they are, but do not have the expertise to do it.. Not sure.. But one thing is for sure, Buds fixed it for 180 bucks.... Not 880 bucks which is what MIDAS Wanted !! Robbery !!!! read more

We picked this Midas because of the great reviews it got. It's too bad I cannot leave another one. I took my Vehicle in and they diagnosed the issue and said all I needed was to rotate and balance my tires. Great, I thought, not an expensive fix. Basically, my FRONT tires were wearing in unusual patterns. So when we went to pick it up, we noticed they only rotated ONE of the front tires to the back. We went back inside and the guy who worked on it said he DID rotate. No, buddy, you definitely didn't rotate the OTHER front tire, as the funky wear-pattern tire was still up front. So he takes my key and gets in, still wearing his greasy gloves. The whole reason they wear gloves is so that when they get in a customers car, they can remove the gloves so as to not get grease in said car. When I got in, the steering wheel was all greasy feeling and I had to stop and buy some cleaner. The man who rung us up was polite and came out and apologized, so that was nice, however I was not pleased at the level of unprofessionalism provided by the guy who didn't get the job done right the first time. I had been going to Midas at 5850 South Kipling in Littleton for quite a few years and they are expensive but liked the work they did on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee until December 2018. I took my Jeep to have them check to see what was causing my Jeep to sporadically not turn over when I try to start, it would hesitate, shake, make noises and all the indicator lights would flash on and off. They told me that it needed a $700 Throttle Box, don't know what a Throttle Box is suppose to do but it didn't take care of the problem, they told me to take the Jeep to Advanced Transmission, I did, they put in a $3999 Re-built Transmission, that didn't fix the problem, so they put in a $799 Ignition Switch, problem still exists, not real often but it does exist. I have no more money and I'm definitely out patience and TRUST. Never got here again! read more
