Midas rents out their parking lot for the Forum. I went to a U2 concert on May 15 . They rent their parking spot for $20. The sales man for the parking lot said fast check out and leave. I was in the parking lot waiting 30 minutes after the concert since they pack them in. The last pack car in front of about 50 cars did not come until late. So don't trust to park your car here. The guy will lie and say fast check out to leave but it is not true. read more

Don't go there and waste your money . They are hustlers. I got my corolla and I wanted a check up on brakes as they were alittle bit shaky. I ended up resurfacing the routers and installing new brakes .. I start hearing and feeling weird noises from the new breaks after 1 week !!! I went back to midas and asked for a recheck, I had the guy drive my car in my presence to make him feel and hear the squishy sound from the breaks . He agreed that something is wrong . After waiting 2 hours !! They send me a different guy to tell me: ( what you feel and hear is your car's ABS !! You can go back to toyota dealer but they will tell you its the breaks because its not original its the after market .. you can bring another set of breaks and we will install them for you ) Seriously !!! Do not go here! Went in last week for a basic oil change. Well, they almost destroyed my car because they forgot to replace the oil cap. The OIL CAP! Who does that? Oil flew all over my driveway, engine and the inside of my hood. Thankfully my lover noticed this and took it back. They did a subpar cleaning. They called to apologize and say I didn't lose any oil. What? I have oil every where? I didn't lose oil? Are you kidding? Do not go here. Very unprofessional and lack basic oversight. read more

Once again, terrific customer service. I've been bringing both our cars here for quite some time, and I've reviewed them before (as you can see below). The manager, John, and his team have consistently been terrific partners in the care of our autos for several years now. Today, they took care of a minor problem without charging me so much as a dime, all in the name of maintaining good relations with a longtime customer. They didn't have to do it, and I didn't either ask for or expect it, but it's just another example of their being willing to go the extra mile. Good folks, good work, good value. I called to get an oil change 4 hours before this place closed and they instructed me they do not do walk ins. I've walked into a different Midas before and they serviced me so in curiosity I asked the manager Steve when the policy had changed. He then got an attitude and asked "what's my problem? What don't you understand " I calmly told Steve I did not have a problem I was merely asking when it has changed that's all. He then told me they do walk-ins just not for oil changes. I said ok thank you. Steve had poor customer service and a short temper it seems. It is unfortunate because I like Midas but I will not be getting service from this location. read more

This is a great location! Staff is very friendly and helpful. I regularly get my oil changes here and I love the fact they always provide coupons on their website. They also have free wifi which is great since I usually wait around for my car so I am able catch up and watch my favorite TV shows on my phone. read more

Brett helped me, and he was amazing! He explained everything to me perfectly, and made sure I was fully informed. I am SO impressed that they were able to figure out the issue with my car. No one else had been able to properly diagnose it. I watched them take it out on three test drives with different mechanics to make sure they diagnosed it correctly. It was fixed it just about three hours, and has been working PERFECTLY since. It's actually the first time since I've owned this car that it's driven so smoothly and quietly! I spoke with Brett (manager) last week for a Catalytic Converter and made an appointment for today at 11am to have it installed. Then he tells me its a week out to get the part that I went in for today? I would of liked Midas to have there shit together and be ready for the appointment, I told him before I came it was for an smog passing issue and I needed it done asap. No help at all today from the manager Brett that left me in a bind, I got the job done for half the price at a no name muffler shop and passed the smog. No thanks to Midas.. Well, I tried and IT WAS AN UNMITIGATED DISASTER....DON'T TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MIDAS/811 E. MANCHESTER. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, LACK THOROUGHNESS, DEFLECTIVE (wont take responsibility), BAD ATTITUDE and JUST PLAIN AMATURES in the ability to repair your vehicle and to assert any acceptable leve of customer service...I GIVE THEM AN "F" MINUS to the tenth power squared. Here's the story: The week before I took my vehicle to them after leaving the Toyota dealership b/c I was doubting the dearlerships estimates.....so, I thought, "maybe I should try to patronize the businesses in my neighborhood". So I went to their shop, showed them what the dealer wanted to do, they gave me an estimate....I said "check it out and repair what you find - making a specific point to tell them that my passenger low beam and parking light were not not working (the drivers side was ok). I left my keys and contact information. Later I received a call to come pick the car up...When I go there, I asked, "were there any issues?" The young trainiee said "yes"...I retorted...."What? no one called me about any issues"...Well, that's when the manager BRETT GRABILL presented himself....He told me that the drivers side lights were unrepairable because of some intellible issue....I asked "why didnt someone call me"...he had no answer".....I went home and after inspecting my vehicle, I decided to return to get a thorough explanation.....I told BRETT, My drivers side lights were fine (he replaced bulbs that were not out), it was the passenger low beam bulb and amber light which was not working.....BRETT got indignant...took a wide legged stance and cross his arms in defiance! note: BRETT is a BIG rotund of a man with prominant tattos on both arms....he looked at me in a challenging way and said, "what do you want me to do"....Well, at that point, I realized I would get no satisfaction and concluded that I am through with MIDAS and neighborhood businesses..."anywhere but Inglewwod"(especially MIDAS) in my motto"..... I had a great experience @ Midas in Inglewood. Brett's customer service and honesty was great. I took my car in to see how much it would be to fix my air conditioning. Brett was so honest. He told me that my car (2016) required a new type of refrigerant and that it would cost to have it fixed. He also informed me of a hole that caused the refrigerant to leak. I was unable to pay that price at that time and he actually recommended another establishment that he knew would be more affordable. He was so kind and did not take advantage of my lack/ignorance of car knowledge. As a woman I greatly appreciated his help and honesty. I will definitely be back. read more

I went to another Midas in Culver City and the store manager was trying to screw me over and quoted around $700 to get my brakes done. I remember that I came to the Midas in Inglewood before and loved the service so I left the Culver City location and went back to Inglewood store. The manager John was the nicest most helpful person I have ever experienced in retail/customer service ever. Thanks to him, he found a warranty I had and ended up paying around $100 to replace my brakes. Everyone in the Midas company needs to be trained by this guy. read more

I have been going to Midas in Inglewood for the last 4 years and Brett and the crew never disappoint. They are always honest, professional and reasonably priced. Not to mention they are within walking distance from my neighborhood which makes their location convenient. I have always sworn by going to the dealer for routine & major services. But after my first visit i have changed my tune and my only choice is Inglewood Midas for total car care on all of my family's vehicles. I started taking my car to this shop after the warranty on my mustang expired and have only received great customer service and timely repair. Brett and his team communicate effectively, making sure it's easy to understand. My car is 13 years old with 293k miles, so I know cars are tricky and require a lot TLC. The knowledgable staff are pretty straightforward and don't push you into getting service if you don't want it, but will honestly tell you if the repair needs to be done immediately or can wait. read more

Normally I would not take the time to write a review for a chain like Midas, but I had such a wonderful experience there that I felt compelled to write one. I went there to get my oil changed; I have a Jetta and not that many places besides the dealership will do oil changes on a Jetta. The manager Phil was incredibly friendly and helpful. He noticed that I needed new tires and gave me a great deal on 2. I have low profile tires which are usually incredibly expensive, but thanks to Phil's deal I saved about $50. Another reason why this place is great: One time I called because I needed an oil change before going to Vegas the following day. Originally they told me they were too busy, but I when I told them I was going to Vegas, they said "Vegas? Ok come on in!" Awesome! Phil definitely sets the tone there. He is friendly, honest, prompt, and you can tell he takes great pride in his job. Highly recommend it! read more

I took my car into Midas on 12/13/19 to have my rear brake pads replaced. Made an on-line appt for between 7:30-9:30am. I arrived at 7:45am, 15 minutes before the shop opened. Walked in with my son and was greeted by Kevin Warner. He was very polite and told me and my son that he didn't see an appt scheduled for us. I told him I made it online and then he proceeded to explain how the on-line system worked. Unbeknownst to me, I needed to have to have gotten a confirmation of your time slot before going to the shop, so I had no appt confirmation. However, Mr. Warner said he would still squeeze us in and take a look at the car and get back to us shortly after they performed their complimentary brake inspection. I asked him about the tire poster that was displayed on the wall and he explained what they could repair on a tire and why and the various ways you can repair a hole in a tire. That was very informative. We left the car there and went home. He called us at 10:05am and told us that we did in fact need the rear brake pads replaced and that the front pads were getting low as well, but that we could wait until January/February to have that done. I gave him the approval to replace the rear pads and we would be back in January to have the front pads replaced. He called us around 11:21am and told us the car was ready for pickup. The price was competitive, with a lifetime warranty, and he threw in a coupon to reduce the price even further. Mr. Warner provided us with great customer service. Will not hesitate to go back to Midas. I can recommend them as I have taken two other vehicles there to have repairs done and I have always received great service. Thanks Mr. Warner. Having a trustworthy and competent auto repair service is massively important, and my experience with this branch of Midas has been exceptional in every way. Right down to the part that when I had decided not to get my air conditioning fixed due to the expense, they said, "If you get the part, we can install it for you." That saved me a serious amount of money, and it inspired my confidence that they are in it for the long haul customer relationship and not just out to score a quick buck. Think about it: They could have made a few hundred dollars more off me one time, or cemented a relationship that will likely bring them in much, much more over the years. I can't recommend these guys more highly, particularly in a market segment that's positively choked with incompetents and rip-off artists. read more

Midas overcharged me completely. I ended up paying $1,200 for a simple front brake job. For me being a college student with tight finances, I went into Midas simple minded and ready for them to fix the FRONT brakes on my used 1999 Nissan Maxima. I was convinced into getting other things (new parts) for my car that is basically 20 years old (no purpose). I was recommended to get shocks and struts, a cover gasket, and a control arm. Labor costed more than the actual parts. When I got home to tell my dad, we went to Midas together the next morning before my car was done to have it towed to a better mechanic. Midas refused and I had no choice but to pay them all that money. My dad was extremely upset and the workers at Midas didn't accommodate or apologize at all. They basically robbed me and took advantage of me being a naive young female college student. Unfair! This is a money hungry company. This happened August 2018. Do not come here! read more

this place absolutely sucked, the chairs and waiting room were dirty and smelled like sh*t. the people helping, john the manager, and shane an intermediate mechanic, were not only unhelpful, but extremely slow. i had a 9:00 am appointment for an oil change and got out of there at 11:30. are u f*ckin serious?? for an oil change? and after that, they proceeded to tell me about all the "problems" my car had and started quoted me outrageous prices. trust me, there are much better places than this sh*t hole. i would never come back here again, not even for an oil change. these clowns should really get their act together instead of just putting on some show. read more

Horrible horrible service took my car in to get the breaks changed and the day after when I drove the car to work every time I hit the breaks it made a really loud clicking sound and felt like the breaks were dragging on the pavement. So I took it back and they said every time new parts are put in it's gonna make noise I've had breaks changed before and they've never made clicking/dragging sounds! So they just said there's nothing they can do I told them they had to fix the lousy work they did at the least!!they refused to test drive it because I wasn't planning on fixing everything else "they found wrong" with the car at their location. I ended up taking it somewhere else and all that was wrong was that it was missing a screw! They're very unprofessional and rude seems like they find at least 6 more things wrong with the car so they can just rip you off don't waste your money or time find someone who is going give you a service you pay for. read more
