Came in with a problem with my engine starting and ended up with new suspension bushings. They didn't seem to care about the problem. I was bringing it to them. And cherry on top they messed up my wheel alignment which I've had to go back later to get it properly done. Wish I didn't spend the money there. read more

I needed a rush service (oil change) for my daughter's car before she headed back to college, and Terry got us in immediately. They got the oil changed and checked to see if her tires needed to be rotated in about a half hour. He also offered two different qualities of oil and explained each to me, allowing me to make a choice for myself. I left with a diagnostic sheet with suggestions for some things that needed to be done at the next oil change, but I never felt upsold on anything or pressured to have unneeded services. My husband and I had been taking our cars to this shop for about two years...not anymore! We were happy with how they treated us, until we realized that we were being scammed. 1. We were told by Tim that my husband's Toyota needed a new mass air flow system, and that they needed to perform a smoke test to make sure. The test cost us a good chunk of money, so we reluctantly agreed to have it done not knowing that this is a "last resort" kind of test. We took his car to another shop where they performed a test for free to confirm that we did in fact need a new mass air flow system, but we were told that a smoke test was not necessary to diagnose the problem right away. I also spoke to two of my friends who are mechanics and they both said they same thing. 2. In less than a year, my Hyundai Elantra has died more than 10 times. We have had multiple new batteries installed, made sure no lights were on, made sure nothing was plugged in, and yet it continues to die every few months. I took it to Midas each time and explained that no matter how many batteries they install, it continues to die when left sitting for only a few days. Each time I bring it into their shop, they "check" the battery and the connections only to tell me that it's just a bad battery. There is NO way that we have installed that many bad batteries. There is obviously something else wrong, but they have failed to help us fix the problem. I've been late to work many times because of this issue (thankfully my boss is extremely understanding) and I can't help but think that we have been jerked around by Midas for all these months. Gratefully, we have found an incredible mechanic who has been honest with us and has very reasonable prices. If you want to be treated with respect and not lied to, DON'T take your vehicles to Midas. read more

Ok, so we got the warranty on the brakes for my daughter's car. The car started making noses. We figured it was time to change the brake pads which were covered under the warranty. We just had to pay for labor. Came here and left it for 5 hours!! They said nope they are fine just dirt and they cleaned them so all good. They still made a nose, but ok if you say so. A few months after that the nose gets worse, so again we go back. The guy says oh they are grinding on metal and they are so worn.( Understand my daughter drives home and GWC which is less than a mile), so we need to do all new breaks and some kind of grinding which aren't covered by the warranty. I told them fine I just need the car safe for my daughter. I come back to pay for what was way expensive around $400. As I'm paying the guy in the front says I wouldn't drive it thou cause you need new ball joints and the wheels are going to fall off WTF! So either get it fixed now or tow it to your house. Why would you not tell me that first? I asked him so how much is that going to cost he said I'll quote you with a discount so a little over $1000 lol. I left and took the car to a shop that was recommended. The mechanic said nope everything is fine, but did say the brakes had been done sloppy and to take my car to Midas and have them do them correctly. My advice they seem nice but really get a second opinion. read more

Hello I would like to thank Tim for helping me when I pulled in because I thought I had overfilled my engine w oil that morning. I didn't call ahead, I basically drove up and said help! Tim was obviously busy and he told me he would get to me as soon as he possibly could and yet he offered to take a quick look. Turns out, as I suspected, that I know absolutely zero about cars and not only did Tim address the situation but he also passed along a bit of knowledge pertaining to my specific circumstance, as to avoid that from happening again on my own! Don't waste your time and money anywhere else. Midas HB has been the best! From the moment I first called to get information, to the appointment and all the way to the end they have been fantastic. I called to make an appointment to get my brakes inspected, which they do for free at 4pm on a weekday and Henry got me in the next day. Just the phone call alone was great, Henry was very friendly and really trying to help me. Customer service is a top priority for me, he and his crew hit this out of the park. Come to showing up for appointment time, there was a small line and Henry was still able to acknowledge my presence and let me know he will be right with me. I'll say, my biggest fear going to a car shop is my lack of vehicle knowledge. I'm always scared someone will try to tell me that something is broken or worn when it's actually fine and then trying to charge me for more than I bargained for. Not here! Henry let me check out the brake pads & rotors myself and gave me some helpful information that will help me for years to come. He definitely knows his stuff and explained everything to me. I had an engine light come on the other day and took it to Midas of HB to check it out. Very little wait time for a mechanic to inspect my truck and courteous staff members in helping me with this matter. It was as simple as an spark plug coil that was loose. Every time I go there my car leave with a problem that I didn't have when I came. Then he tells me my engine light was on which I check because I needed a oil change. Twice the crankshaft position sensor goes out even this time after I repaired it myself. Do not go to this midas maybe be ok to go to another. I have been very happy with Midas and this location. My truck needed brakes and I thought it was front and back, but the manager and mechanics were very honest and said I only needed my rear brakes replaced. I had the service performed and got the lifetime warranty brake deal at a great price. The next visit, I come back with a different truck to have the brakes done and I'm relaxing in the waiting room while the work was being performed. A nice girl comes in and has her brakes inspected and said some local car repair center wanted to charge her a lot to fix her brakes. After her car was inspected, the manager informed her that her brakes were fine and she actually didn't need a brake job. I'm sitting there just so impressed with how honest and professional the manager was with this customer. It was nice to know that I was at an honest repair shop. I've always liked this place and thought their employees were kind. I went in for an oil change 2 or 3 years ago and they convinced me that it was not safe to drive off without purchasing new brakes that day. $200+ but I thought i was taking honest advice. I went back about 4 months ago to get another oil change and they told me I needed them again. I reminded them that we just did this a couple years ago and he told me it was the back breaks that need them this time. Ive checked with a few people since and they told me that I don't and that they were probably just trying to make a sale. I hate that, as i have always liked this place and thought highly of them.
