My family and I been coming to this shop for over 10 years and have always had good experiences here. The front desk staff (especially Henry)--have always been friendly and helpful, and I've trusted them with my oil changes and general service for years. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me very disappointed. I came in for a simple check engine light that I suspected was caused by a loose gas cap. I was told I'd need to schedule an 8 AM appointment and pay $200+ for diagnostics, which wouldn't even include fixing the issue. I explained that I didn't want to spend that much if it was something simple like the gas cap and asked if they could just check the code. The response felt dismissive and irritable. I was told by Michael it would take an hour or more even though the shop didn't appear busy at the time (only one customer finishing an oil change). After being a loyal customer for so long, I expected a little more willingness to help with a quick check. Because of this experience, I will no longer be coming here. I also hope the business can review this situation with the new employee, Michael, as this interaction felt very different from the customer care I've been used to over the years. I called first to get a quote on an oil change for my 2008 PT Cruiser. Their quote was about $20 lower than PepBoys, so I made an appointment. After checking in, I was told they were short handed and it would take about 30 min before they could start work on my car. So I sat in lounge area and read my book. Eventually I was told that I needed new wiper blades. I went outside and was shown my back blade had a rip with a good 6" of rubber hanging down away from the blade. He said they would check the front blades too. This didn't look real but I didn't argue with him. When it came time to pay, they charged me for 3 new blades, never mentioning or showing me the condition of the front ones. So they neatly recovered the $35 discount they volunteered on the oil change. As I was thinking about it later, I remembered that I had several times this month rinsed my car off, making sure I washed the back thoroughly. At no time ever was a 6" piece of rubber hanging down from the back blade. Since I had not used the back wiper at all, it dawned on me that they had either cut my blade or put a bad blade on my car for demonstration purposes, and I now realize I was scammed. They also presented me with strong recommendations: Replace 2 front tires for $280, Wheel Alignment $130, and Timing Belt Replacement $2320. I was shocked at the last one. I was told that one needs to change their belt every 100,000 miles. But mine only had 64,000 miles on it. Yet they hoped I'd give them over $2K now with around 40,000 miles yet to go with the current belt. And supposedly they rotated the tires for free, but there is no proof they touched the tires at all. Nor do I know whether I now have 3 new wiper blades at all, because how am I to tell the difference now? I'm sorry, because they showed me a rear blade with 6" of rubber hanging down, when I would have seen that myself when washing my car several times, it leads me to believe the wiper blade thing was a griff. Consequently, I can never return to their shop for any further work on my vehicle. I can't help but believe being an 80 year old woman worked to my great disadvantage in this situation. I can't even tell if I actually got an oil change. Perhaps they did nothing at all. I'll never know. But I'll have my son check the oil next time he's over. Advice: take photos of your vehicle from all sides before you take it anywhere for repair. That way, hopefully, you'll have some proof if a repairman tries to trick you into a needless repair. read more

However, I wish I had read the more current reviews that poorly rate the front office staff member as the reviews show a repeated performance of disappointed customers. I came back to this Midas as a repeat customer within the past 7 months after having spent several thousand dollars here. I was met with a barrage of questions from "the front office staff" questioning where I had my oil changed and why asked why I didn't have "that shop do the work " and the was promptly accused of "shopping around" because I chose not to have my car serviced where the oil change was performed. The front office staff was very aggressive and it was unbelievable what he did next. He was so angry that my car oil change was done elsewhere that he told me that he was not going to do the cost estimate, (this was stated after he accused me of " shopping around". ) He said he was going to give my keys back to me but the car was already on the rack. He marched out to the technicians and told them To only confirm what I already knew but was not going to give me a price or allow me the car to be serviced at a later date. After seeing such an unstable response I was more than willing to leave and never return. Customers have a right to have vehicle serviced without being harassed about why or where they've take their vehicle prior. This front office persons demanding tone and pushy attitude will keep me from ever recommending this Midas location to anyone. read more

I went in for oil change and when picking up the truck the manager told me I needed new front brake pads. I told him I just had the pads replaced and rotors machined less than 2 yrs ago and 20000 miles. I asked if that was normal and he said during that time frame their site was using poor quality brake pads. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. A very strange experience with this outfit. After using my extended warranty to get a window motor replaced there was a small delay in payment which I think was partly their fault not following up with the extended warranty company. In any case I now believe the installed it wrong because the brand new motor started to come apart for no reason. When I brought it back into them they said that they could fix it but they wanted to make sure they were going to get paid and everything which I assured him they would. The extended warranty company sent them another part they held on to it I brought the car in four different times and they didn't do anything whatsoever. Great place to bring your vehicle in to be serviced. Henry has been amazing over the past 5 years or so that I have been bringing our family's cars here. Recently we needed an oil change and fuel filters changed and Henry helped us find the most cost effective solution.
