We are here for the summer. I heard a tapping noise in my engine which, according to google, meant that I probably needed an oil change. Although my car didn't have more than 4,000 since the last oil change and it is a 2023 model, I brought it into Midas. They changed my oil and rotated my tires AND fixed the noise the drivers side door was making, and gave me $20 off. Troy told me that the oil change did not take the knocking away and that I needed to take the car to the dealership since the noise could be the manifold. He said he had seen several makes of newer cars; from 2021 until now, have similar problems. His theory was that many of these cars were made manufactured during Covid when there was a supply chain issue. I have an appointment with my dealership in 2 weeks. In the meantime he assured me that the car was safe to drive as long as the check engine light didn't go on. Troy and Andrew couldn't have been nicer. read more

Did a brake job there one year ago on the rear wheels. Checked brakes and said I needed new brake pads and hubs. $1300 the first time and $500 this time. Looked at the old brake shoes and they were not that worn, the job was unnecessary. Never be back there again. read more

Such a 180 from the shops I've dealt with in the last year. These gentlemen are polite, patient, keep a wonderfully clean and comfortable lobby, and are very accommodating. I called and asked if I could get same day service, and they were able to book me the next morning. When I got home to find only one aspect of the job had been overlooked, they took me right back in the next morning and got it done. This is the way a shop ought to be. They make sure you feel respected, their work is on point and guaranteed, and they take the Synchrony car care credit that I got from Town Fair Tire, which is really helpful. Absolutely incredible service. I was traveling from CT to Martha's Vineyard for holiday. Unfortunately, my oil light came on during my travels, and I was a bit worried while on the island. The crew at Midas took great care of me. They were extremely accommodating and set me up with an appt within twenty-four hours and worked around the ferry's schedule for me. It was quick and easy. My husband brought his well maintained car here for an oil change, and they magically discovered a crack in the radiator that did not exist prior to bringing it here. They then tried to charge him $800 to fix it. When he told them no he would be going elsewhere he was informed they had already flushed the fluids so he would have to pay $120 for that. I know businesses are hurting right now but come on!!! read more

I brought my car to have the brakes checked. I was told I needed front and back brakes at a cost of over $1000. Not true as I took it to the dealer, repairs cost $375. Also the $49.99 special for synthetic oil change was $79.99 once they added up extra charges. read more

Very nice to talk with. However, be sure you get an accurate and complete statement as to what they will do. They added a part to my exhaust replacement that we had agreed was not necessary. They did not discuss this with me before welding it in place. It cost $780. They claimed the system would be too loud without it in place but I am not clear how that was determined. It seems unlikely that they put it together without this part in place to see how loud it was. If they had done that, you would think they would have had me listen to it. read more

Great service. Great price. NATE the service member we worked with was accomodating, knowledgeable and kind. I would have given 5 stars except the invoice is sorely lacking in detail. Besides my oil change, my tires were rotated and fluids checked but none of that was recorded on the statement. I would have liked to have that for my records. I paid 49.95 for a full synthetic which included tire rotation and fluid check (this months special) plus sent in for a $20 rebate on the valvoline oil that was used. read more

Terrible. Ieft the Orleans location because a creepy dude couldn't reset my check engine light after a scan and then started giving me dirty looks like it was my fault. So I went to the Hyannis location and in a span of a few years, this happened: They sold me brake pads that only lasted about 13k miles, told me my tires were rotting (they weren't) took almost two hours to do an oil change and tire rotation ,sold me a new set of brake pads that lasted 10k miles, wouldn't do anything about it. It is unfortunate I cannot give zero stars. I was highly unsatisfied with the work and customer service provided by this Midas. Let me preface this by saying the manager at this store, Ryan, appears to be the only person who is knowledgeable and professional at this location. I brought my vehicle in over four times to have the same problem corrected. Each time something broke after the work was completed and while it was fixed by the mechanics they did not apologize for the inconvenience and made it clear they just wanted me to go away. I asked to go for a test drive with a tech after the fourth time I had returned and after being told the work was completed I continued to have the same problem. The mechanic who went on the test drive with me was rude and dismissive denying there was any problem. When I asked him for a second opinion he stated "you have already had a first second and third opinion" I asked if another mechanic could go on a ride with me and he said "whatever you want". Immediately upon returning to the garage another mechanic went out with me. The noise increased and he agreed something was wrong. The entire car was shuddering when applying the brakes and making a thudding noise with every tire rotation. We returned to the shop and they fixed the caliper bolt. Despite being told they would call when the work was complete I did not receive a call by 4pm. When I called and spoke to PAUL he was again rude, dismissive and interrupted me. I asked for an invoice of all the completed work and was told he could not provide one because I was not charged for the repairs (I did pay for the original work just not them fixing their mistakes). Again, no apology, no explanation. I called Midas corporate that evening to complain and was told he was absolutely able to provide me with an invoice and he was lying when he said he could not. The next day I went to pick up my car and spoke to Ryan who clearly explained all of the work done and apologized for my frustration. He offered to fix the back brakes with no labor charges in an attempt to smooth things over; however, the Owner, who I then learned was the rude mechanic who had gone on a test drive with me the previous day, refused to allow him to honor this deal after it was offered. I will be speaking to the regional manager about my experience as I have already filed a complaint. Had the owner honored Ryan's offer I would have withdrew my complaint and considered everything resolved. Ryan is the only thing good about this location, the owner and the other mechanic (Jeff and Paul) need some training in customer service. I can see why they have mixed reviews. The owner Paul is not a mechanic all about charging your credit card. He did an oil change and messed my car up. I also observed him not being able to look up the right battery fir a car. Wasted 3 hours. Ryan the mgr is usually nice and thorough along with Chris. Ryan is out for s weak. Go to firestone. Paul and the shop is not run well. The charge differential for a battery. Midas -$178. Versus Firestone $118. The inconvenience calculates to 4 hours.because of Paul read more

3 Days after my oil change my oil light came on. I returned to Midas & they told me "my pistons were bad & gas is leaking into my oil, & I would need a new used engine" I drive a Toyota Camry with 80,000 miles & my engine light NEVER came on & no other performance indicators, car was running great! I took it to Access Auto & after inspecting the oil & engine they told me I was DOWN 2 & 1/2 QUARTS of oil! Midas never filled it during oil change!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this Midas as they continued to lie about my engine after I notified corporate! read more

My truck was due for state inspection but was showing a Check Engine light. In fact, there were a slew of check engine warnings. Midas of East Falmouth, MA accurately diagnosed and fixed the problem, and my truck passed inspection. read more

Complete hack job on my brakes! Asked for front pads and rotars to be checked. They ended up breaking the knuckle on the tie rod had my car for 36hrs. During brake inspection (which i didn't ask for) failed to tighten the driver side rear caliper. I had to pay for a rental to get home and bring the car to another mechanic because the rear caliper was knocking against the rim due to them not tightening the bolts and completely forgot to put another bolt back on. When i brought the car back i was greeted by rudeness from the manager who tells me i would need to make an appointment to have car seen. Then to boot they improperly put my front pads on as well. Would give no stars if possible. Went into this morning's appointment with a Midas coupon we printed from the Internet for a $99 brake job and was told they would not honor it - supposedly because people have been presenting fraudulent coupons. They could have looked online and seen that it was valid but they would sooner wrongly accuse a potential customer of fraudulence and lose our business than accept a valid Midas coupon. The last time we went in with a coupon for oil changes, we had to argue with them before they would accept it. This shop resents losing money due to the coupons Midas offers (and has said so). We have been bringing our THREE vehicles there, but no more. read more

BEWARE/ RIPOFF-I took my car with a small hole in exhaust pipe. I tinker with my car so I jacked it up before I took it there to make sure it wasn't near the Catalytic Converter. I received the call with my estimate, Ronnie informed me it was the catalytic converter, exhaust pipe AND muffler. Gave me an estimate of $1700. I challenged him and asked him to cut the pipe and put on a new piece (not near Catalytic Converter at all ) he said it was rusty, I again asked him to cut where the good part was and replace. He hemmed and hawed then said he would "try it". So for $143.00 my car is fixed. Not sure if they try to "take" everyone or just women who may LOOK like they know nothing about cars. I've been taking my car here for about a year for oil changes and a few more significant repairs. The prices are reasonable and the owner is a nice, honest guy. They do good work here. Don't be fooled into thinking that because this is a chain, it's not high quality. This particular location is excellent. I'd highly recommend them. read more

Cape Cod for the weekend from NY. Went in to check a wheel noise and left the car there. A couple of hours later they called to let me know it was just a slight bent rim. I have had my car for a little over 4 years and never had the brake pads changed- so when I heard a little noise in the brake area, I went to Midas to have them checked out because I was concerned and thought I might needs the brake pads etc changed. At the time of the appointment I was happy because they said the brake pads on my car would be good for another year and they only had to fix part of the rotor. A couple of months go by and I hear a really bad grinding noise - I went to the Midas (at a different location because Midas in Falmouth had no appointments available for four days) and I wound up having to pay almost $400 because they had to replace the brake pads and rotors. If I had known I had only a couple months before I would have to have the pads replaced I would've done so to save myself a few hundred dollars. I should never have had to deal with replacing the rotors because that was the initial reason I went to the Midas in the first place. Very disappointed and I will from now on not be returning. read more
