Aside from ridiculous price (see other review) I've found that they had overtightened lug nuts and likely not tightened them in the correct order. This can cause brake rotor distortion and rubbing, which is what I'm heard when I drove out of their lot. Now I'm finding that the lug nuts cannot be loosened with a 24" bar. Don't even bother going anywhere else unless you like song-and-dance and hard-sell tactics. If you need help with a tire problem, go directly to Cape and Islands Tire. Tell them what the problem is and they will give you all your options with final prices right up front. The work is finished right when they say it will be. This place was fine when I walked in, nice employees, however they really screwed up what should have been simply putting 4 tires on my existing wheels and it ended up costing me $100+ to fix. During the installation of my wheels/tires, SOMEHOW one of the metal clamps holding my TPMS sensor magically vanished and was replaced with FOUR ZIP TIES. No one ever said a word to me but 2 days after I took my car home it started shaking uncontrollably. I checked my invoice to see if they had balanced the tires and they had so I went on the assumption something else was critically wrong with my car. I was so stressed, but after bringing it to another local mechanic he was able to diagnose the issue in about 2 minutes- pulling the zip ties off, which had stretched and expanded with the heat of the car driving and left the TPMS banging around. It was a "cheap" fix overall, but NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Cape & Island Tire should have told me they broke the clamp at the very least so I knew, or just admitted it and covered the whopping $30 or so a new clamp is. At the very least, they should reimburse me the $100+ it cost me to fix. I also contacted the company via email about this issue, and never got a response. read more

I came in today needing a tire replacement. Before I had the work done, I asked what I needed to do to use my coverage for tires. He told me his manager doesn't pay him to sit at the computer for a couple of hours and fill out the jnformation necessary for my reimbursement. I told him I was pretty sure he had to or I couldn't use my coverage I paid for. While they worked on my car, I called the company providing my coverage who told me that's exactly what he would need to do or I would not be covered. So to make this happen, I had to ask the guy the questions for my coverage while I had the company on the phone. Lo and behold, this hours long process he complained about was miraculously taken care of in five minutes and now I will receive my reimbursement. It's a shame he couldn't be bothered to help me as this is the second time I've gone there and received awesome service from the more respectful employees working in the garage. Shout out for their excellent service. However, with other tire shop options in town, I will look elsewhere next time I need service. read more

Six months ago I bought four new tires. I noticed the passenger front was flatter then the driver front. I went back to C&I Tire in Falmouth where they had a waiting area full of people. Still, an employee immediately asked if he could help, looked at the tire and took the car into a bay. Ten minutes later he handed me the keys and said: "Good thing you brought it in. The valve had a leak. I replaced it with a new valve." I was never asked for proof of purchase or asked any questions to prove I had bought the tires at C&I. Just great friendly service with a smile and no charge. It sure made me feel good I bought my tires at the Falmouth location. read more
