I went in for a brake check and was quoted $2,000 for extensive repairs, including everything for the rear brakes except the calipers and everything for the front brakes including the calipers. I had just had the front brakes done in May of last year, so I was skeptical about needing such extensive work again so soon. The shop insisted and pressured me to get the repairs done immediately, which made me uncomfortable. I decided to get a second opinion and had the necessary repairs done elsewhere for much less. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. They just tried to upsell me unnecessary repairs, but I would advise others to be cautious and get a second opinion. read more

This business should be ashamed. I took my car in for them to diagnose and to get an oil change. My car was "hesitating" occasionally when I was driving so that's what I needed checked out. They called and said they drove it and it needed 3 out of 4 engine mounts and the control arms needed replaced, which is common on Nissans. I said oh how much is the engine mounts? He said $1,100. I said I'm not going to do that. Then I said I just had my breaks done there not long ago and y'all replaced the control arms already. He looked it up, said oh, yeah, those should be under warranty. He said yup, those won't cost you anything. Picked my car up and scheduled the control arm replacement one week later. My appointment to drop it off early on Friday. I left work about 8am just to drop it off. Had to leave town for the afternoon and hadn't heard anything yet. Called at 11:30 and asked if it would be done soon or was there an approximate time. He said they hadn't brought it in yet. (So I left work to drop it off early, which was when my appointment was, for nothing). I said okay and told him I would be picking it up the next day then since I wouldn't be back before they closed. They called about 1pm. Told me I needed new struts on both sides of the front of my car and that was the noise I was hearing (I never said I was hearing a noise). He also said I needed 2 new tires. I said oh, how much are struts? He said $1,198 plus tax. I said yeah I'm not doing that. He said well okay, no point in changing the tires then if you aren't doing the struts since they'll just wear them out. I asked if my car was ready and the control arms replaced since that's what I brought it in for. He said we're just about to bring it back now, we will be in touch. They called again at 3 and said it was ready. I went the next day to pick it up. The man started explaining to me about something when another man walked in and he said you wanna explain it to her since you were the one who worked on it? So he explained to me that my car had "bottomed out" and "scraped" my underneath at some point and was starting to rust. He showed me a picture. Then said on the right side it was bent and he struggled to get the control arm in there but was able to. I am literally the ONLY driver of this car and it was brand new when I bought it. I have NEVER "bottomed out" on anything when driving it. I took my keys and left. I brought it to another mechanic for a second opinion on everything they told me was wrong with my car. He hoisted it up, looked underneath it and checked everything I told him Midas told me I needed done. He said I didn't need ANY of the things they said I did. He suggested a transmission flush and did say I needed ONE tire pretty soon. So thank you to this very HONEST mechanic and good man. It's a shame to have been to a, what I thought, reputable company, only to be lied to and taken advantage of. Cookeville, TN Midas: We were told to bring our truck in on Tuesday, June 6. We called to check progress on Thursday, June 8 and told that they started working on it on Wednesday, June7. Called back on Friday and told that it would be ready Saturday morning. Nothing. Called back on Monday, June 12 and told that they just started working on it on Saturday. THEY LIED TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND we STILL do not have our truck!! WE will NEVER go there again!! read more

Bad with communication, scheduling, and do not seem to know what they are doing. I went in for one of their free diagnostics and they told me I needed to replace the brake drums. The brake drums were just replaced a week ago. I had to replace the brake cylinder. I ended up doing the work myself. read more

I would give this business more stars if I could!! I have a business that requires me to transport people. Unfortunately, my air quit blowing cold during a work day. I called a couple places before calling Midas and they were significantly more expensive and were already trying to sell me things over the phone. Scott was amazing!! He told me to bring my car in and they'd make sure to get my air working before my next pick up. I was in and out in remarkable time, for a reasonable price, and the air works great. Midas is the only place in town authorized by my warranty company. Check engine light came on. Code said thermostat was stuck open. We called to see if we could get an appointment for the diagnostic. Service Manager Jennifer told my husband he would have to dop it off at 7AM, and it would take a day or two. We report that the idle was off and asked if they could take a look at that too. Day 1... Zero contact from them. At 5:48, I received a text that the repairs had been approved with zero deductible. Day 2... Husband called at 9:45 (they open at &) to find out the status of the repair. Service Manager Jennifer lied and said the repair had just been approved. (Big difference between just been approved, and she just now bothered to check.) Said it was the next car up and would be done by lunch time. Called again at 12:30, she said the repair was taking more than an hour and wasn't done. Called again at 2:45. She said they were just now finishing it pulling it around front. Had to call the warranty company to find out that they only replaced the thermostat. Engine is still running rough. They kept my car for 2 days to replace a thermostat and not fix the idling issue. Super shady. Warranty company gave us a waiver to take our vehicle to someone else. Do not recommend. read more

They treated us with class, fixed our car quickly and got us back on the road without blowing our budget. A situation that could have been very different with unscrupulous people.
