Great service for my basic oil changes. One car needed synthetic oil, no coupons for that. Regular oil change on my 2006 was $19.99 after discount. Of course, each oil change brought semi-persuasive efforts at up-selling me for marked up engine and cabin filters along with coolant system pressure testing to check for a leak even though no other contributing sequelae presented. They also said I should change out the transmission fluid because they found no history of it having been done. In summary, I use these folks to do a simple task I could do but what I really want is for them to fish and poke around for other potential deficits and concerns. They give a good list that I can work myself. Their price for the 4 engine and cabin filters was around $89. My Amazon price for the 4 filters was $31 and they arrived at my door step tge next day. It took me 25-minutes to change all the filters. This Midas is a great place. Fast and efficient and they have great customer service. When it comes to oil changes just be ready to hear other concerns that may or may not really need immediate attention. But I always want to see their hit list. As they say, caveat emptor. read more

Went in for a tire plug, left two days later with 272 dollar bill. I don't mind buying a new tire if I needed it but that tire was a prime candidate for a plug. Left rim and tire over night so when the new tire arrives they could mount and balance it. That didn't happen. So I went in for what should have been donut off new tire on. I had to take my car there numerous of times for my transmission and it's still not right and every time I got my car back something else was wrong something I've never had problems with. Been to Midas two times for something simple and like clockwork they come back at me with thousands of dollars in repair work I need just so they can fix what I originally came in there for. Then, I went in there to see if they could install an oxygen sensor made by Bosch, a reputable and quality source for auto parts, and they said it was "company policy" for them to supply parts, which, BTW they get at places like Autozone. This way they can charge you $100 for a part that they only paid $25 for, and that's a fact. "The Midas Touch" has morphed into the feeling you get when they bend you over and stick a crowbar up your arse. If you use them you do so at your own peril. You've been warned! read more

Took a Porsche there for oil change. (It's no different than any other car-drain the oil, replace filter, refill with new oil. No special tools. Everything easily accessible.) He couldn't determine correct filter. I offered to bring my own oil & filter. He quoted me $150 for just labor!!!!! Went elsewhere with my own oil & filter. Paid $30. I took my truck to them to check the A/C. I had to call them repeatedly to get an update. Each time, they said they needed 15-20 minutes to get the estimate finished. 3 hours later, I go there, wait 30 min for them to finish the estimate and find my truck. They gave me an estimate for $1,400 to change a switch and replace the clutch fan. Plus, $3,500 estimate for things that I didn't ask them to check. I took my truck to B and B tire. They diagnosed it correctly, repaired it & changed the oil for less than $100. I would not use Midas, even if my vehicle broke down in their parking lot. I took my cat to midas for a oil change $ tune up cost me almost $600. Then I needed breaks, riders, wheel alignment $1163.71 never again midas car left in the same condition as I bring it in. Absolutely untrustworthy. We had a timing belt break in our PT, and they ended up trying to charge us for everything under the sun. And wouldn't admit to it only needing a timing belt. After a crazy quote of $2,600. We got it fixed somewhere else for $930. Not impressed with their service at all. You should not trust anything they say. read more

We were traveling from Virginia to Kansas and our brake light came on and the pedal went to the floor. They were able to get us right in. Recommended a great place for lunch within walking distance. Molly the shop dog provided loving emotional support during our wait,lol. They gave us a AAA/military discount. We couldn't of asked for better treatment. read more

Avoid taking your vehicle into Midas unless you want to pay double what the services are worth. I took my van into Midas to get new tires. I also had the top brake light out, which I mentioned to them. Instead, they "fixed" my left brake light, which had nothing wrong with it going into the shop. (My dad followed the vehicle on the way there, and the brake light was working just fine). They charged $25 for labor on that $1 part. They also charged $60 for an inspection that was not necessary and charged me $25 for a filter that I didn't ask for, nor did they mention they were going to do over the phone. As a young woman, I believe I was just an easy target to gouge money out of for unnecessary fixes. My new tires are great, but not the extra hundred dollars I paid for nothing. I took my truck to the Midas located in Bowling Green for a $30 suspension diagnosis. I had an annoying squeak and some steering performance issues on my truck with 112,000 miles. After about 30 minutes of inspecting, the tech shows me a repair order for a complete front steering rebuild. The order called for new struts. I changed all 4 struts 15,000 miles ago, the paint still shines on them. $1,295.76 for parts. A quick search revealed a complete steering rebuild kit for my truck can be purchased for $396.64 shipped. Advice to potential customers--be careful. Find a mechanic that is honest and open about their pricing and service. I wasted both my time and money on a bogus diagnosis because it turned out that just I had a loose castle nut on a ball joint. Tightened it and fixed the problem. read more

This is the absolute worst place to have a vehicle worked on probably in the entire state of Kentucky. They don't stand behind their work. They bill you for services they did not perform. They charged me for 4 rear seals when my car only has two rear wheels. I paid them over $700 for a brake job and now, 6 weeks later, not knowing they had done my brakes because these idiots can't spell and put my name in the system wrong, they called me back stating I had pins falling out of my calipers, etc. The only reason the pins were falling out of my calipers was because these negligent wannabe mechanics forgot to put cotter pins in the pins that hold my caliper together. By far two of the worst automotive repair experiences I have had in my entire life. Rip off scam artists that do horrible work This place needs to be reported to the better business bureau and to the chamber of commerce. They are straight up crooks and cowards. I went to this Midas about a month ago, and since I am a 20-something year old woman, I feel as if I was targeted. First they put a different grade oil in my engine than what was on the print out report they gave (comparing to the actual mechanic's report stapled underneath). Secondly, not timely AT ALL. Thirdly, scare tactics. They told me that my tires were 1/32" in treading. I call bull! I may not know a lot about cars, but I know for sure that my tires are great (Michelin). So he told me that I HAD to have them replaced then and there bc it wouldn't be safe for me to get back on the road with them like that. I told him I wanted a second opinion but I appreciated his professional opinion. He was obviously mad and got short with me. Lastly, he was SO FOCUSED ON SELLING ME TIRES THAT I DID NOT NEED, that he FAILED to notice that my brakes, brake pads, and rotors needed to be replaced. NOT HAPPY. NEVER RETURNING read more

I like the folks at Midas. They are professional and knowledgeable; however, if you plan to take a vehicle there, be sure to leave it with them for the day because they take forever---probably because when they do repair work, they tell you of a dozen other things you should "get fixed" while you're there. You are, of course, welcome to decline. I got an oil change there this morning, but it took them one and a half hours. It was just an oil change! Additionally, when I gave them my Jeep for some repair, they fixed the oil leak, but then when I got home I noticed they had not reconnected a hose and there was coolant all over the engine bay (turns out, they forgot to tighten a coolant clamp). I took it back to them and they made it all better---even threw in a free oil change coupon. This whole ordeal took the better part of a day. In short, Midas does good work. They let you know all of the dozens of things you should think about with your vehicle. If they botch it up, they fix it. But good grief, they take forever. And a day. read more

Took my truck there for an oil change, took forever to do. Then when after I picked it up, not a mile down the road, smoke was filling the cab of the truck and coming out from under the hood. Called them and they came to check it out, found out they didn't tighten the oil filter tight enough. After they took it back to the shop to fix, they asked me if I wanted the engine cleaned. I said sure, then after that they proceeded to charge me for all that. Needless to say I did not pay for that. read more

Did I mention that it was dying on the highway and we called them a half hour before they closed and begged them to repair on the cusp of the most major holiday of the year and they agreed!! Went to BG location for oil change and tire rotation as they were offering a "special" of $10 off oil change and free tire rotation with purchase. When I checked in, the customer service rep lead me to believe the total bill would be about $65 as I drive a Silverado that takes more oil than most vehicles. I am used to that as it's not my first oil change. But that engine has been a standard size for Chevrolet since the early 70s. When I checked out the bill for the oil change was $98. They said it took more oil than anticipated. I'm going back to the dealership. They only charge $65. The reps don't know engines. read more

2 words here: PRICE GOUGING. Took a 20 year old car in last week to have 2 items diagnosed. For the main job they quoted me almost $700, plus another $200 for the minor repair. Offered me the finance plan, told me my engine could blow up at any time, blah blah blah. I asked how long it would take, they said "not long at all, about an hour". I knew something was off. If it was only going to take an hour, how much was the part? Looked it up...most expensive price for the part that I found was $140, least expensive was $80. Ridiculous. I took it elsewhere for a 2nd opinion...paid $134 for the part AND the work. Will never go back to Midas. read more
