Having throttle body issues replaced my throttle body by myself twice, and still having problems when it is cold out. I brought it into Midas to be put on a smoke machine, and they also checked to see if the pcm was getting the correct amount of power. The service writer, Jayce, is a very decent guy. I am so, so very grateful for how much they helped me today! This throttle body issue has cost me so much money since I got this Jeep Compass, and I cannot afford to keep throwing money away on it. (Beware of A & A Auto sales at 812 Central. He clears codes on vehicles and will tell you it's because he replaced the spark plugs on the vehicle, and you will later find out the spark plugs hadn't even been changed, as well as all the other problems that were wrong that he was trying to hide from you). Midas has helped me narrow the list of possibilities with my throttle body problem, and hopefully, my issue will soon be fixed thanks to their help. read more

They took 4 hours to find a coolant leak. ordered the part scheduled my repair. When I got there I sat for an hour before they told me they didn't have the part. Took it back down to have it repaired they fixed the leak told me they found another leak. They didnt to want to give me my car back. Pretty hard to get to work with no car for a few days. Take your car to a dealership to get fixed they have loaner cars, rides to and from the shop, and they do right. I ended paying more time and money to take it to these guys. I'm confused. They said I needed a transmission flush immediately. They said it was pure black and needed to be changed right away. I took the car back two days later and double checked on the need. Again, I was told the transmission fluid was black and needed immediate attention. I should have pulled the stick to verify. I did not have the work done. I thought I had the transmission flushed at Jiffy Lube a year ago. Sure enough, today I checked the work orders at Jiffy Lube, and yes, it was done a year ago. So the Jiffy Lube guy pulls out the stick to double check -- the fluid is beautiful. What's up with this? If my car is unique and has more than one transmission, let me know and I'll have the second transmission in my car flushed. If not, an explanation would be helpful, but I'm not going back the third time. If there is some reasonable explanation within the next few days, I'll be happy to delete this review and add a better one. read more

Our kids were traveling across country and had car trouble in Billings. They got fantastic service at Midas and were treated so well. I went here for a quote on tires and had a few questions to try and determine if the damage would be covered by a warranty I had. Josh was great at answering all my questions and talking through my options. He made the whole process really easy and quick. My tires were order, arrived at the shop and were installed THE NEXT DAY. I've never had such a positive experience when having my jeep serviced. I will now be taking my jeep in for oil changes and tire rotations regularly because it's actually cheaper to do both at Midas than the dealership where I receive free oil changes. Josh and Sean from Midas on Central are angels. I'm 8.5 months pregnant and fairly new at driving around. Apparently today while running errands with my crabby toddler I ran over a screw. I was completely flustered and had no clue what to do. This is our only vehicle, a big truck, and I have to pick my husband up from work in lockwood. So my sister had me pull in there to see if they could patch it. We didn't realize it was 12 minutes till close. They came out and told us they couldn't patch it but they would gladly put my spare on for me. Which was a huge relief and completely unexpected since it was so close to closing time. Not only that but they were so nice to my rambunctious 3 year old and gave him a tire toy he loves and hasn't put down. And to top it off they didn't charge us a single dime. I left there in tears. I'm not very knowledgeable on cars, but he took me to the garage and showed me exactly what was wrong. After three months on the road I am finally sitting down to say that these guys were great to me. They helped me out right away when my truck was breaking down. They honored the Midas warranty from another franchise from out of state and out of their own pocket made repairs to the brakes which included missing parts and misc. repairs that got me back on the road with confidence to drive another 5,000 miles, up through B.C. and Alaska and back down to the states. Although the problem did re-occur, problem with the ABS, I had no concerns about the quality of the repairs and the brakes, aside from the ABS, are working fine. I wish guys like this were in all the Midas stores, I would never hesitate to take my truck or auto problems to them. I would trust them again without hesitation. read more

I wish I could give this Midas store zero stars! My wife took her vehicle here to have the brake pads replaced as the scratch indicator was beginning to make noise. They told my wife the pads were fine and they did some other work to them and it was good to go. I was kind of shocked when she told me this but thought okay I guess we will see. After the service was completed my wife ran some errands no more than 10 miles and she noticed it would make a loud thud noise once and awhile when she braked. Unfortunately Midas was closed by this time or we would of taken it back right then. I took a look and it was clear the "mechanic" forgot to tighten the bolts that hold the entire brake system on that tire. One bolt was completely gone and the other one was only finger tight. I understand that accidents happen we are all human but what really upset both of us was the poor customer service from the manager and owner. The manager of the store told us he couldn't give us any money back but wanted to give us a measly $30 oil change coupon to win back our business. When you spend over $400 to have brake work done and only part of the job gets completed I don't feel you should have to pay the full amount especially when it put my families life in jeopardy. I argued with the store owner about getting some money back who told me he couldn't return any of the money, all his guys are ase certified and accidents happen. When I told him I understand but when a job is not completed and it could of lead to a fatal crash he said well that's why he has insurance. The owner claimed that his guys still did work to the vehicle and needed to be paid. We finally settled on not having to pay the full amount. We ended up taking it to an actual mechanic shop because it started making the original scratching noise we heard from the beginning and they replaced the pads because they were bad. I will not recommend Midas to anyone I know because of the poor customer service. Like I said I understand accidents happen but this was a horrible experience. Take your vehicle to an actual mechanic shop not a quick in and out service. read more
