Spring of 2023 we were finally able to get AC installed in our home after 10 years of only an evap cooler. MidValley was awesome from the time we got our estimate (significantly below the first estimate we got!) to installation to post-installation check-ups and work. Throughout the summer the unit worked beautifully but began encountering issues as Fall arrived. Tony's team worked with us diligently to figure out the issues, was always on top of it, and never made us feel like we were forgotten. Once the issue was found and remedied they did several more follow-ups to make sure the issue had been addressed and our unit has worked beautifully since. Another incredibly thoughtful thing Tony and his Team did for us is create this really amazing unit cover (once I clean up my backyard after the Winter passes I will post a photo). They carved out a cherry blossom branch with songbirds that covers all the ducting and protects it from our doggo. They had let us know they were going to build out a cover for the unit but what we got was above and beyond what we expected and it is beautiful. An update from my review last winter. This company claimed I had collapsed duct work. Wrong. A technician from another company said that my unit was left in such poor shape after their visit, that a key part was left leaning against the metal housing of the main unit which was an electrical hazard, and would cause my heat to go in emergency shut off mode. Obviously this was done by the company so my system would continue to fail and I would have to empty my wallet to pay for something which wasn't even the cause. I'm calling the BBB, stay away, they'll endanger your system and home to get cash. read more

Our air conditioner stopped working on Friday before the long 4th of July weekend, which was also the first summer weekend of over 105F temperatures. I called Mid Valley Air at 8:00 and they scheduled the repair work for later that morning. Emilio arrived when scheduled and did the repair and service in about an hour. He was very professional and explained the work he was doing and what needed to be done. The bill for the work was fair and reasonable. During the past hot summer days my parents A/C started having some issues and finally broke down, we were recommended to Mid Valley Air by a friend. I Spoke to Technician Tony Diaz over the phone and he provided some helpful guidelines to follow and was very professional. Tony was prompt and came out that same day, provided a detailed explanation of what the issue was and what had to be done, he's also Bilingual so that helped greatly answering all of my parents questions [ Spanish ]. Tony was able to complete the job that same day and got our A/C up and going, he even provided some pics and checked up on us a few days later. Scheduled an appointment for a date and time to have my AC unit looked at. They were a no-show and never called back to apologize or reschedule. I waited 4 hours for a tech who never showed up or gave me a courtesy call to say he wasn't coming over. I reached out to them, but by the time they called me back I had already reached out to another company for service. The lady I spoke to did offer an apology and a discount, but you only get one chance to make a good first impression and they blew it. If it is not broken do not mess ( maintain) with it. I hired this company to do maintenance to my AC unit. The unit was working fine with absolutely no problems. A tech came in checked it said capacitor is weak. It needs replaced which I approved. They charged me 89$ diagnostics and 180$ for the part, ( they refused to use the diagnostic fee towards the repair charges). I noticed that the tech never removed anything from the unit, so I asked him where is the old part, he said its way in the back I can not reach it, so I am just gonna put the new one. Surprise ha!! He can not remove or reach the bad part but he was able to test it and found out it needs to be replaced...did not make any sense to me. But unfortunately I went with it. He remained in the roof of over an hour!! Talking on phone going back and forth around the unit not sure or see what was he doing. When work is done he sent me an email with the receipt and a photo for the new part installed, which i noticed its not hooked (wired) to anything so I emailed him back inquiring about that, never got an answer, there I felt something wrong is going on. Today and in about one month from the so called maintenance service the unit is out, and the first comment the tech said today " it seems too long since the unit got serviced", it built so much pressure the caused it to fail and loose all refrigerant!!!!!!! I forgot to mention, When the tech first saw me, he asked if I am going to be sticking around in the backyard watching him, I said yes., !!!!!!!!!!! Update: the capacitor installed is the wrong size per the new tech. read more

You get what you pay for. Should've know better then to use the cheaper quote for two brand new AC units. Within a few months we had our first ceiling leak, blew out half our kitchen ceiling because they installed a warped pan to hold the condensation. They came out to "fix it" but did not. It leaked again a few months later. Then our second ac leaked and blew out our ceiling in a closet! After three ceiling leaking incidents we decided to use another company to fix what this company installed incorrectly. And of coarse our warranty is voided after that. They did pay us 500 for the second mistake but nothing after the third ceiling leak. Just pay more for better service and installation please. Or else your roof might come down read more

Being that I'm a woman I'm always leery to call contractors or the mechanics without the help of a knowledgeable male friend. But I decided to call mid valley air because of all the 5 star reviews I read and because he helped my friends which are an elderly couple on a fixed income by quickly going out and repairing their heater for FREE!!! If that's not honest then I don't know what is. So I called him out to give a quote on replacing my air conditioner/ heater and he was the best reasonable price and I was able to buy a unit that was more efficient then the other more expensive quotes I was getting . Him and his employee came out and did the job quickly and cleanly. He was patient with all my questions and didn't make me feel dumb. He thoroughly explained why I didn't need a bigger unit which he could have made more money off of that. I comfortably recommend him to all my friends for installs , repairs or just the maintenance, it's hard to find honest people now a days. The over all experience was professional and easy . Mid Valley was the third air conditioning firm I called. And I wish Mid Valley had been the first. After scheduling snafu's, saying the whole system had to be replaced and long wait times from the other two, Mid Valley came out the same day as I called and repaired the air conditioner within two hours of their arrival. Ayesha, who took my call handled it with clear and precise communication. And her technician, Michael has the good to sense to actually have replacement blower motors and condenser motors on his truck. None of which the other two firms had. Review: At this point, I am not satisfied and hope they rectify the situation. They came out, the A/C was working perfectly, but I ordered a tune up because no one had lived in the house for 4+ years. The pressure read out perfectly. After the tech washed it, the pressure was low, so he added 7 pounds exactly (seems interesting that it needed 7 pounds exactly). The house after that had a sweet smell, which dissipated in an hour (a/c freon or an odd coincidence?). What was concerning is that my a/c quit working as well after that, and now it pretty much runs non-stop, struggles to get near the temperature the house was at before the tech came out, makes a loud "wah was wah" noise outside (and an occasional louder noise) and a hum inside, and is not as cold, so the company actually tuned it down from where it was, and charged me $530. Not only that, but I hopped on the roof to visually inspect the system and it wasn't even put back together! I have included pictures here of how they left it, with a few screws and washers on the ground around it, that weren't there before, and a panel partially open. When I contacted them with the issues, all I asked was for them to fix it and finish the job by putting it back together. I even complimented how nice the tech was, but Tony refused. He said it would cost me $75 minimum to get them back out. I want them to at least come put it back together before I get someone else out to do the work. Lesson learned, don't get a tune up if it ain't broke, or a technician will break it, and especially don't go here. Update: Tony is ignoring the situation. His response to my initial review is frustrating and untrue in 2 ways. First, I tried contacting him directly right off the bat, even though he acted like I didn't in the response. We swapped 4 different detailed messages across a few days (I'll gladly post them if need be) in which I explained that they didn't even put my A/C back together and that now it's not working right, and in which he would respond that if I want help I have to pay $75 to get them back out. All he had to do was send someone out to finish the job that realistically isn't complete if the a/c isn't put back together. Second, I couldn't watch the guy work on it, even though he said I did. He was on my roof and I was in my sunroom working on. my computer, so it's weird that he would say that I was watching. Altogether, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. Because I can't get them to come back and complete the job without paying more (not even an offer to put my A/C back together), I am paying another company to come out tomorrow and fix it. read more

I called Mid Valley to come out and repair my a/c unit which was blowing warm air. I had done some research online and had a pretty good idea what the problem was but decided to call a tech out anyway. Tony returned my call and asked what was going on. After describing the issue, he basically told me he agreed with what I thought the problem was. Tony told me it was an easy fix and that he would walk me through how to change the capacitor. He told me where to go to buy the part, how to check that I bought the right size, EVERYTHING!
